Happy Halloween!!!!

Someone posted this on my timeline on Facebook of these talented kids doing a cover of This is Halloween from the movie by Tim Burton "Nightmare Before Christmas".
When this movie hit video I bought it and it seemed to be one of my kids favorite when growing up. It must have been because they wore it out over time.
I'm not sure of the appeal but if I had to choose a favorite it would be "Kidnap the Sandy Claws".

Anyway Happy Halloween to everyone and a special shout out to a fellow blogger Covertress who had to go offline for a while because of her struggles in Obama's economy.

We're Too Stupid to know What's Good for us

I've been keeping an eye on the spin the leftards have been generating today after more news about health
insurance cancellations have come out and the basic spin is we had crap insurance policies before.
Obviously the democrats big "gubberment" has to come to the rescue.
Then just a little while ago I ran across this video at WeasleZippers.

So the Obama administration wants to control the debate by silencing the insurance companies so we as consumers, who don't know shit, can't make an informed decision.
I can't for the life of me understand the utter contempt this administration has for the people of this country.
We're being forced into an over priced, bloated government run boondoggle simply because these elitist pricks honestly think we're too stupid to choose what is best for ourselves and our families.
They fancy themselves as the only ones wise enough to decide how we should spend our money by taking the choice away from us on what we choose to be insured for.

Our option of being adults is slowly being eroded away by the persistent nanny staters who fight furiously to take it away from us.

Internment on the Arizona

Here's something that I wasn't aware of and I'm sure many others may not be but the U.S.S. Arizona is still an active final resting place.
Before the survivors of the Arizona at Pearl Harbor pass on in their twilight years they can request to be interred with their shipmates.
A full ceremony with honor guard is given before their ashes are handed off to the chief diver who swims to the 4th gun turret and selects the location to leave the ashes.
One day soon these ceremonies will no longer be needed as the last one is interred and a part of our living history will be gone.

Facing the Truth about Obamacare

We're starting to see more stories like this.

Over 96 Percent of Obamacare Enrollees in Maryland Signed Up for Medicaid
Back on October 22, Jim Geraghty explained why it was important to separate new Medicaid enrollments out from the total enrollment numbers for Obamacare.
We can do that now with Maryland’s state-run exchange, Maryland Health Connection. According to a press release Friday, 85,659 people have enrolled through the exchange. However, 82,473 of those have signed up for Medicaid, accounting for just over 96 percent of sign ups.
Of course, Maryland isn’t the only state with more enrollments in Medicaid than in insurance plans; both Kentucky and New York are seeing the same phenomenon.
Of course we got a hint of the real agenda with Obama's response to Joe the Plumber before the election, the redistribution of income.
The liberal/commie media then went into "cover Obama's ass" mode immediately to carry their messiahs water while simultaneously doing their trademark willful omission of anything that might embarrass the democrat party or Obama.
Leftwing media
NBC is just now reporting that Obama knew that those who liked their insurance couldn't keep it even when he was mouthing the words. Pretty much after the fact and while Obamacare swiftly dismantles the current system.
It's no coincidence that those who are shocked by the increase in premiums are the people who've worked hard and been responsible for themselves and their own health insurance. But a very large number of people will receive very low cost to free healthcare (close to half) while those in higher tax brackets will be punished  for being able to take care of themselves. All while crippling the economy and making more people dependent on government for their needs.
This has been the plan all along, to shift the burden and expense of healthcare to those who have the audacity to earn enough to be independent from the government. A monumental redistribution of wealth.

The real crime here is the complicity of the lickspittle media who, while Pelosi was saying we need to pass it to see what's in it" deliberately withheld reporting what the pitfalls were along with the breathless news about preexisting conditions and adult children hanging onto mom and dads insurance. All for the purpose of covering up for the administration before the next election so the American people couldn't make an informed decision.

So the question is, if the derelict media isn't going to act like a free press, why do they still deserve the constitutional protections of one?
Also when are the American people going to finally hold them accountable?

Cold Front Moving into Hell?

Must be a freeze warning in Hades, CNN actually being critical of the Obama administration?
Almost 5 year into this failed administration and just now someone hits these idiots with a clue bat.
Better late than never I suppose.

Obamacare's Lopsided Enrollment

Boy it's just getting better and better ain't it. This boondoggle is such a failure that even the lapdog, lickspittle liberal media can't ignore it anymore.
This whole thing is on track to become an even bigger trainwreck than predicted.
I dare anyone to come up with any government program that has been run successfully that wasn't loaded with pork and mismanagement and then consider very carefully how good can a government mandated healthcare system be.

Sebelius and the Arrogance of the Ruling Class

In the private sector if an employer has a an employee who is not responsive to their customers then it's a wise employer who fires the one and hires another that will actually take responsibility for the job they're hired to do. (with the possible exception of single franchised utilities, try reasoning with an electric utility worker)
That's because the salaries are derived from the voluntary use or purchases of what that private business offers.
However when government confiscates revenue at will from earners and uses it to pay the salaries of arrogant, self-important, appointed civil servants their salaries aren't dependent on a customers good will.
What happens then is the arrogance of unaccountability.
Sebelius thinks she doesn't have to answer to congress, sort of like Lois Lerner.
Looking down at the little people.
They're civil servants and the government has mandated that we use their services so we have no choice but to pay their salaries and take it when they tell us to pound sand.
This ain't a new thing but it has come into full display because of the current occupant of the White House who's basically set the tone for open disdain of the citizens of this country.

What they're saying to us is we have to take their mediocrity and incompetence and there ain't a damn thing we can do about it.
Elections do have consequences you know.

Job Prospects Still Suck

With the liberal/commie media focusing on blaming the republicans for the government shut down and trying to spin the dismal launch of Obamacare the unavailability of good jobs for the middle class went under the radar.

I'm sure that's not the case for people trapped trying to find any employment available, part or full time.

The jobs report was totally blech. And it may get worse.
Soft. Tepid. Blech. Meh.
Choose your non-inspiring adjective, possibly in Yiddish, and it nicely describes the long-awaited September jobs report. It wasn't terrible by any stretch -- the nation added 148,000 jobs, and the unemployment rate edged down a tenth of a percent to 7.2 percent. But it is far short of the kind of robust jobs recovery that Americans have been waiting for these last four long years.
If there is any good news to be found, it is that the unemployment rate is now the lowest it has been since November 2008. But, two important observations: November 2008 was hardly the best of times for the U.S. economy. And much of that decline has occurred because of people dropping out of the workforce; the ratio of Americans who have a job is basically unchanged over the last four years.
Indeed, if there is a trend at all, it is in the wrong direction. In the first six months of 2013, the nation averaged 195,000 net new jobs a month. In the last three months, that average has been a mere 143,000. And as a reminder, this is a report covering September, before the government shutdown and debt ceiling showdown that rattled consumer and business confidence. While we won't necessarily see direct evidence of that disruption in the October numbers (due out Nov. 8), what is clear is that the weak September numbers can't be chalked up to one-time disruptions coming from Washington.~snip~
Welcome to the new reality of the Obama/democrats economy and with this they force everyone into an incompetently run, overpriced  government mandated healthcare debacle.
When Bill and Hillary tried the universal health care thing they failed because there were enough people in the workforce doing well and could afford to insure themselves. They didn't want or need the government to give them stuff so they rejected it.
Now that Obama and the democrats have destroyed the economy and shrunk the middle class there's enough people who'll qualify for subsidies to make the over priced over bloated government offering a choice of last resort.

Allan Dershowitz says he Hates MoveOn.org

Me too Professor Dershowitz,me too.
I don't think anybody has been surprised by how far MoveOn.org is to the extreme left. The real problem is that a lot of people believe that their rhetoric is mainstream.
Of course the media ignores them while reporting on every utterance by a democrat that compares republicans to terrorists, blackmailers and the Taliban so why wouldn't they believe it?

If MoveOn.org wants to see treason and sedition then they can look at the liberal/commie media and in a mirror.

Irritating Things About the NFL

Plenty of info here.
Bob Costa's periodic lectures aside I personally think it's about time that the networks get rid of their overpaid, pompous , blow dried talking heads during football games.

I've felt this way for a long time, mostly because these guys really don't add anything to the game and their obvious "bromances" for certain quarterbacks gets pretty tedious. It's not a new thing.

Troy Aikman was the recipient of many broadcast booth admirations from afar, now it's Tom Brady and Tony Romo (to name a couple) who can do no wrong.
Not that I have anything against those two guys but the way they're slobbered over in the press booth, along with others, gets embarrassing at times and distracts from the game.

Now I know a lot of people will suggest that I just mute the TV and eliminate the distraction completely but without the crowd noise and the sounds of the game it's just not as exciting. Entertainment and excitement is why I watch the game.
On the very rare occasions when the announcers booth has gotten a technical glitch and their microphones go silent the sounds of the game without the droning commentary has been bliss.
There's more than enough information displayed nowadays to make play by play commentary moot.
You can see the score, what down it is, yards to go, the play clock and scrolling info that can keep you up to date on other games throughout the day.
Hell the refs are even fitted with wireless microphones so you can hear what their call is.

If you want to massage the talking heads egos then let them prattle on during halftime, at least then we can do something useful like go to the bathroom, get a snack or another beer.

It's about time the networks give the fans a break from these pompous jackasses, just because you hired them don't mean the rest of have to suffer.

Who Should Go?

Dennis Miller has the answer, it's nothing new, I've seen the suggestion countless times before. They want Obamacare so badly it didn't matter to them if the economy tanks as long as they get their free stuff.
At least they'll have health care, eventually, if the incompetent meddling bureaucrats can ever get Healthcare.gov running.

Offensive "Journalism"

So I'm looking over at Twitchy and run across this:
Why bother putting the word "offensive" in there in the first place?
Because the weak minded (yeah I've already had one make a comment on a previous post) will pick up that word and become offended by the guys free speech.
It must be exhausting for the liberal/commie media to constantly be carrying water for Obama and his administration. Not just on the national level but the local also.
The media doesn't even try to hide it anymore because, lets face it, they really don't have to because not enough voters are really paying attention.
I realize that I'm pointing out what should be obvious but it appears that it isn't, because if it was then a lot more people wouldn't let them get away with it.
I'm still hoping that sometime in the future citizens will get tired of this kind of naked manipulation and lash back at these Obama/democrat syncophants.

But I ain't holding my breath.

Liberal Media:We'll Tell you When to Be Offended

It appears that the liberal/commie media thinks it has the responsibility to tell us what's moral and what's not.
You know, the same people who's neglected to hold Obama accountable for....well anything, tells us how reprehensible the second amendment is, how Christianity is destroying the country and patriots/conservatives are little more than terrorists.

As if there aren't more serious issues related to native Americans.

Daniel Snyder's Best Possible Answer to Critics of the Redskins' Name
Another football season is upon us, which means another opportunity for America to engage in another autumn ritual—condemnation and praise for the controversial nickname of Washington's professional football team. This always strikes me as hypocritical—bordering on the cruel. As a nation, we spend virtually no time discussing grave issues of concern to Native Americans. Most of us could care less about the way our laws and policies treat them. And yet every fall our airwaves are filled with passionate debate over the merits of a team's nickname. Talk about misplaced priorities.
The brunt of the focus has been on the Redskins' owner, Daniel Snyder, who has been defending his decision to keep the team's name. Some respect this choice. Others scorn it. Few are neutral. None have suggested, however, that Snyder could use the current spotlight to make a critical point about the way in which white America, and black America for that matter, believe they can assuage their guilt over the mistreatment of Native Americans by taking a stand on a symbol rather than by demanding substantive reforms. If Snyder really wants to call out these Helmet Hypocrites, here's what he should say:~snip~
To the PC liberal types out there this whole "controversy" is the least they can do in their self important minds to brow beat everyone else as neanderthals so they can pat themselves on the back and wallow in their own smugness.
But then again that's what PC liberals do, the very least, by focusing on the one thing that even most native Americans could care less about then they get to avoid addressing the really big issues of concern for native Americans.
They can again deflect responsibility away from Obama and his administration to "do something" about the much more egregious slights that Washington has made towards native Americans. Because their messiah holds high office, instead of looking to him to alleviate the more serious wrongs, they point their fingers at "racist" Americans.
Lecturing them to do something that changes nothing.
Again we're subjected to liberal/commies self righteousness and demands for symbolism instead of substance.

So.... What Have We Learned in the Past 2 Weeks?

I don't know about the rest of you but I've learned that basically all democrats and about half of the republicans are actively working against every single one of us.
That the liberal commie media is pretty much owned by the democrat party .

The so-called shut down didn't really shut down anything, it just delayed it for a while and in essence Obama and the democrats have earned a blank check to bankrupt the country.
We still have an over bloated and dysfunctional "health" program being forced down our throats, whether we want it or not.

It seems to me that the opposition to an eventual crash and burn of our way of life and economy is so intransigent that the only conclusion I can come to is that the eventual collapse of our society has to be deliberate.
I know that sounds like crazy talk but with the available evidence it's the only thing that makes sense.

The only thing left to do is to just sit back and watch it happen and then to suffer through it with everyone else who are determined to damage the middle class and society.
Maybe then they'll decide what they've forced on the rest of us wasn't such a good idea.
Hopefully the pushback will be swift and brutal.

CBS:Obamacare Enrollees an Urban Legend

It must be really bad when even Obamas lickspittle subservient cheerleaders in the liberal/commie media can't even put a positive spin on Obamacare's failed rollout.
Their problem is that they really can't find anyone who has successfully navigated the online sign up. Mostly because, like most government programs, incompetent and lazy partisan civil servants are running it.

Even some of the kossacks are beginning to notice the downside of Obama's signature legislation. What's really hilarious in the comments is the way the guy is being attacked for simply reporting on his experience with his insurance company because they had to adjust his premiums, upwards,in order to comply with Obamacare.
If it wasn't so sad it would be funny that even the most ardent kool-aide drinkers can't ignore the obvious.
Putting government in charge of healthcare is a failure waiting to happen.

White Liberal Bob Costas Offended by Redskins

Possibly the lowest hanging fruit when it comes to TV talking heads is "sportscasters". Being lectured to by one of them is roughly equivalent to having a democrat tell someone about the constitution.
Yet here is good old Bob Costas explaining about how painful the Washington Redskins name is to an audience that's made up of at least 50% of viewers who are fans of the team.
While he enjoys a fat paycheck for bobbing his head and moving his lips at half time during said game.
Over an issue that, except for the Washington Post, the majority of people couldn't care less about.
Have the people spoken?

I hate to spring it on this self righteous douche bag but football is entertainment, people watch the game to be entertained not watch some smug has been lecture them on their insensitivity.
Note for NBC, If Costas wants to get his smug on then tell him to write a blog post or letter to the editor, instead of pissing people off by droning on about nothing on your dime.
Also Bob, next time you feel like hanging your hypocrisy out there for the entire world to see just take a sniff of your own smugness and leave the rest of us alone.

Not Much Security being Dependent on Government

With the probable exception of being president, congresscritters or senators there's no sure thing when it comes to being dependent on government largess.

Computer Glitch Blamed For Nationwide EBT System Shutdown On Saturday
BOSTON (CBS/AP) - People in Ohio, Michigan and 15 other states found themselves unable to use their food stamp debit-style cards on Saturday, after a routine test of backup systems by vendor Xerox Corp. resulted in a systemfailure.
At about 9 a.m. Saturday, reports from across the country began pouring in that customers’ EBT cards were not working in stores.
At 2 p.m., an EBT customer service representative told CBS Boston that the system was currently down for a computer system upgrade.
Xerox spokeswoman Jennifer Wasmer released further details later in the afternoon in an emailed statement.
“While the electronic benefits system is now up and running, beneficiaries in the 17 affected states continue to experience connectivity issues to access their benefits. Technical staff is addressing the issue and expect the system to be restored soon,”  Wasmer said. “Beneficiaries requiring access to their benefits can work with their local retailers who can activate an emergency voucher system where available. We appreciate our clients’ patience while we work through this outage as quickly as possible.”
U.S. Department of Agriculture spokeswoman Courtney Rowe said the outage is not related to the government shutdown.
Shoppers left carts of groceries behind at a packed Market Basket grocery store in Biddeford, Maine, because they couldn’t get their benefits, said fellow shopper Barbara Colman, of Saco, Maine. The manager put up a sign saying the EBT system was not in use. Colman, who receives the benefits, called an 800 telephone line for the program and it said the EBT system was down due to maintenance, she said.~snip~
The reason they're giving for the unavailability of EBT benefits is that it's a computer glitch, like that will mollify anyone familiar with the governments usual competence when it comes to technology. Thing is that, unlike companies that provide services online for a profit, civil servants couldn't care less what kind of hardship that may ensue because they get their paycheck anyway.

Intentional or not this shows exactly what can happen when so many people become dependent on government services. The first thing politicians do when they come to an impasse on the budget is threaten social security or military pay and benefits. Not to mention veterans benefits, in order to wage political warfare, the first casualties will always be the most vulnerable along with with the military that protects us.
Funny thing is that it doesn't seem to affect their salaries one bit.

Now however the commie democrats have come up with another way to get us all by the short hairs by mandating Obamacare, now just about every person in the country will be under the bureaucrats and liberal thumbs. Politicians will have us all right where they want us and if we don't tow the appropriate line they will dangle our healthcare over our heads.

There's a lot of people out there getting a lot of satisfaction out of the "leeches" getting what they deserve and while I find it that way also I'm sobered by the fact that most people in this country has given the government the green light to seize our medical and financial information along with requiring us to purchase a product that they approve of......and control it all on government computers.
So who feels screwed now?

How Bad is the Obamacare Rollout?...........

.....so bad that even NBC noticed.
In a very rare departure from the medias incessant cheerleading for the Obamessiah NBC news actually reports on what is abundantly clear to anyone paying attention.
Whatever the government touches becomes an overpriced incompetently run debacle.

Bullsh*t Poll of the Week

This just proves that as voters we're gluttons for abuse.

NBC/WSJ poll: 60 percent say fire every member of Congress
Throw the bums out.
That’s the message 60 percent of Americans are sending to Washington in a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, saying if they had the chance to vote to defeat and replace every single member of Congress, including their own representative, they would. Just 35 percent say they would not.
The 60 percent figure is the highest-ever in that question recorded in the poll, registered in the wake of the government shutdown and threat of the U.S. defaulting on its debt for the first time in history. If the nation’s debt limit is not increased one week from now, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew warns that the entire global economy could be in peril.

“We continue to use this number as a way to sort of understand how much revulsion there is,” said Democratic pollster Peter D. Hart, who conducted the poll with Republican Bill McInturff. “We now have a new high-water mark.”~snip~
Incumbency is the bane of modern politics, most of these clowns get reelected so often they die in office.
One of the saddest excuses as a republican, John McCain, has spent years screwing his constituents and still got reelected.
The only reason Ted Kennedy or Robert Byrd ain't in office is because being deceased makes them ineligible to run. (So far, I'm sure the democrats have been looking for a way to change that, they've already run successful registration drives at cemeteries in their districts.)
This just goes to show how reliable polls are, until these numbers actually translate into significant turn over in the house and senate then I call bullshit.

And the Winner Is!!!

Megyn Kelly
Who's this guy?
There are some things so obvious that if it was a snake you'd been bit by now.

Sad thing is with the average intelligence of the typical commie lovin' liberal the obvious has to be spelled out for them.

MSNBC President Wants 'Investigation' Into Fox News' 'Impossible' Ratings Gain
Phil Griffin, president of MSNBC, says there's something fishy about Tuesday's ratings for the Fox News Channel, which were up significantly from a day earlier when Fox News debuted its new schedule. And he wants an investigation.
"Monday we had a really good day in the key demographic. On the night that Fox News debuted their three shows, we either tied or beat them in those hours," Griffin said at a briefing, according to TVNewser.
"Tuesday -- you guys should be doing some investigations; I have never seen it in all my years of cable -- same overnight, same everything. And they doubled their ratings in a day? It is impossible." Griffin continued, "I have never seen it. They did election-night numbers in the demo Tuesday."
The Nielsen numbers Griffin refers to include MSNBC beating Fox News on Monday in the adults 25-54 demographic at 7 p.m. and tying Fox News at 10 p.m.
At 9 p.m. on Monday, MSNBC's The Rachel Maddow Show beat Fox News' new The Kelly File, hosted by Megyn Kelly, by a slim 10,000 viewers in the key demo.
By Tuesday, though, Fox News was back to its dominant self, with 573,000 in the key demo compared with 261,000 for MSNBC between the hours of 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Perhaps most dramatically, Kelly's narrow loss to Rachel Maddow from a night earlier was significantly reversed, with Kelly drawing an audience of 623,000 in the key demo compared with Maddow's 291,000.
Nielsen has not yet responded to Griffin's remarks.~snip~
I'm not in the key demo and the only time I've seen Madcows show is when I'm flipping through the channels but like a lot of viewers on monday night I was watching MNF like any normal viewer. Madcows audience isn't normal so I'm sure the die hard metrosexuals and hipsters tuned in as usual. Liberals being the only ones who can tolerate Madcows screeching and hyperbole.
If he wants to get a shot at better ratings maybe he should get rid of that Maddow guy and get someone who an audience can relate to and stand looking at.

Obamacare on Road to Collapse?

For all the democrats trying to tout the popularity of Obamacare it doesn't seem to be burning up at enrollment.

EXCLUSIVE: Just 51,000 people completed Obamacare applications during the website's first week, out of tens of millions of Americans in 36 states
Just 51,000 people completed Obamacare applications during the first week the Healthcare.gov website was online, according to two sources inside the Department of Health and Human Services who gave MailOnline an exclusive look at the earliest enrollment numbers.
The career civil servants, who process data inside the agency, confirmed independently that just 6,200 Americans applied for health insurance through the problem-plagued website on October 1, the day it first opened to the public.
Neither HHS nor the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services would comment on the record about the numbers. Enroll America, the president's organization of health care 'navigators' who are charged with helping Americans sign up, didn't reply to a request for information about its level of success so far.
The White House also did not respond to emails seeking comment.
But several administration officials have claimed this month that they didn't have access to the kinds of raw figures MailOnline obtained from the people who work for them. And the anemic totals suggest a far lower level of interest in coverage through the Affordable Care Act than the Obama administration has hoped to see.~snip~

I wonder if the low level of interest has anything to do with the doubling or more of premiums and the pathetically huge deductibles offered by Obamacare?
If the state-run exchanges were to have a similar response rate for six months, the national enrollment total would be approximately 2 million.
That number is less than 29 per cent of the 7 million the Obama administration would need, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, in order to balance the new health insurance system's books and keep it from financial collapse.
The real danger here is that when Obamacare gets to the point where it is in imminent collapse that Obama and the democrats will respond by enrolling everyone in the non-affordable care act and then use the power of the partisan IRS to seize whatever revenue is required to prop up Obama's "signature" piece of legislation.
There ain't no way the socialists in the democrap party will allow O-care to collapse.
After all, the democrats already believe that anything we have is theirs anyway so why not confiscate what they choose to for our good?

Feds Convinced that Taxpayers are Suckers

I don't know about anyone else but with fiscal geniuses like this in government I'm feeling a whole lot of trepidation about turning the nations health care over to them.

We paid $634 million for the Obamacare sites and all we got was this lousy 404
It’s been one full week since the flagship technology portion of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) went live. And since that time, the befuddled beast that is Healthcare.gov has shutdown, crapped out, stalled, and mis-loaded so consistently that its track record for failure is challenged only by Congress.
The site itself, which apparently underwent major code renovations over the weekend, still rejects user logins, fails to load drop-down menus and other crucial components for users that successfully gain entrance, and otherwise prevents uninsured Americans in the 36 states it serves from purchasing healthcare at competitive rates – Healthcare.gov’s primary purpose. The site is so busted that, as of a couple days ago, the number of people that successfully purchased healthcare through it was in the “single digits,” according to the Washington Post.
The reason for this nationwide headache apparently stems from poorly written code, which buckled under the heavy influx of traffic that its engineers and administrators should have seen coming. But the fact that Healthcare.gov can’t do the one job it was built to do isn’t the most infuriating part of this debacle – it’s that we, the taxpayers, seem to have forked up more than $634 million of the federal purse to build the digital equivalent of a rock.~snip~
I cannot think of anything the government has taken charge of where eventually it they turned it into a complete mess.
There is an argument for NASA and the moon missions in the late 60's and early 70's but that came because for the most part politicians stayed somewhat out of the way.
There's no doubt that what sometimes started out with the best of intentions eventually becomes an over priced bureaucratic mess by the time Washington gets done with it.
But Obamacare is the exact opposite, it's an over priced mess even before it gets out of the gate.

Media Questions Never Asked

Here's a surprise that's no surprise at all.
One of the biggest stories out there is the abysmal failure of the rollout for Obamacare.
So what questions do the WH press corps fall all over themselves avoiding?

No healthcare questions at Obama presser
President Barack Obama sustained an hour-long press conference today without a single question about his signature healthcare law and the glitches that continue to plague the insurance exchanges -- a point that frustrated several conservatives.
"Explain to me how in a dozen questions the second biggest story of the week, the healthcare.gov debacle, doesn’t even come up," Brendan Buck, the press secretary for House Speaker John Boehner, asked in an email to POLITICO.
"Questions from WH press corps are pathetic," Brit Hume, the Fox News analyst tweeted. "As of this moment, not a single tough or challenging inquiry."~snip~
There used to be a time when the press worked to inform the American people, now they're just a propaganda arm for Obama and the democrats.

Lalala We Can't Hear You!!!

As society rushes to alter the fabric of the family there are some out there who are attempting to take a look at what the possible consequences will be to future generations.

A Married Mom and Dad Really Do Matter: New Evidence from Canada
There is a new and significant piece of evidence in the social science debate about gay parenting and the unique contributions that mothers and fathers make to their children’s flourishing. A study published last week in the journal Review of the Economics of the Household—analyzing data from a very large, population-based sample—reveals that the children of gay and lesbian couples are only about 65 percent as likely to have graduated from high school as the children of married, opposite-sex couples. And gender matters, too: girls are more apt to struggle than boys, with daughters of gay parents displaying dramatically low graduation rates.
Unlike US-based studies, this one evaluates a 20 percent sample of the Canadian census, where same-sex couples have had access to all taxation and government benefits since 1997 and to marriage since 2005.
While in the US Census same-sex households have to be guessed at based on the gender and number of self-reported heads-of-household, young adults in the Canadian census were asked, “Are you the child of a male or female same-sex married or common law couple?” While study author and economist Douglas Allen noted that very many children in Canada who live with a gay or lesbian parent are actually living with a single mother—a finding consonant with that detected in the 2012 New Family Structures Study—he was able to isolate and analyze hundreds of children living with a gay or lesbian couple (either married or in a “common law” relationship akin to cohabitation).
So the study is able to compare—side by side—the young-adult children of same-sex couples and opposite-sex couples, as well as children growing up in single-parent homes and other types of households.~snip~
There are those who have a vested interest in the outcome who have claimed that these kinds of studies have already been debunked. Mostly by attacking the methodology of the studies, it's unfortunate that the same scrutiny hasn't been used on the limited studies they cite that supposedly do the debunking.

Unfortunately it appears that society is dead set on handing over generations of children to try and survive in dysfunctional family units without a fair airing of the consequences that might ensue. I mean it's not like the liberal/commie media will report on any studies that might cast doubt on the catechism of "gay rights" and how it might affect any children trapped in the grip of homosexual equality.
Opposing evidence or opinions are not allowed.

Someday, in the not to distant future, there will be a generation that will stand before society who will demand to know why we allowed  them to be set up for failure when the possible evidence was staring us in the face.
The poorest response we could give is the "the gays made us do it".

Another Reason I don't Subscribe to HBO

So I got DISH satellite and they always seem to be trying to get me to subscribe to some of their premium channels. They seem to think I want to pay extra for crap like Bill Maher.
Sad thing is that there are a lot of low information viewers who get their news and opinions from this sad sack of shit who seems to think it's clever to denigrate a quickly vanishing generation that defeated tyranny around the world and lifted this country out a depression towards a prosperous future.
Of course they made the mistake of allowing us to hand it over to the marxists and leninists we now have in the presidency and democrat party.
It's not all their fault being too busy turning the United States into the most exceptional and prosperous country ever. They were a little preoccupied to notice the quisling media rooting for the destruction of all they fought and lost friends for.
You would think that we would have had their backs as they grew older.

Bill Maher, one of many reasons I'll never buy HBO.

Wolfie at CNN has Moment of Clarity

Which just goes to show that even CNN can't ignore the obvious and prop up the Obama regime all the time.
Blitzer sarcastically notes the administration has “only had three years” to get ready for the roll-out.

Chad Henderson and liberal Media Spins for Dear Leader

Every once in a while I get some grief from a few people about how I'm too hard on the leftist media scum we're subjected to day after day.
Surprisingly it's not as much as you'd think though.

Thing is that I usually don't have to waith too long before the liberal/commie propaganda arm of the democrat party shows their ass.

After slobbering uncontrollably over someone who claims he actually succeeded in getting an Obamacare policy they find themselves in the position of having to walk it back. Not just some but a whole lot.

UPDATED: Obamacare Poster Boy Chad Henderson and His Dad Didn't Really Buy Insurance
Chad Henderson is the media’s poster boy for Obamacare. Reporters struggled this week to find individuals who said they had been able to enroll in one of the law’s 36 federally run health-insurance exchanges.
That changed yesterday, when they found Henderson, a 21-year-old student and part-time child-care worker who lives in Georgia and says that he successfully enrolled himself and his father Bill in insurance plans via the online exchange administered at healthcare.gov.
But in an exclusive phone interview this morning with Reason, Chad's father Bill contradicted virtually every major detail of the story the media can't get enough of. What's more, some of the details that Chad has released are also at odds with published rate schedules and how Obamacare officials say the enrollment system works.
The coverage of Chad Henderson has been massive. He was featured in The Washington Post Thursday as “the Obamacare enrollee that tons of reporters are calling.” He was also profiled in The Huffington Post as someone who “beat the glitches to sign up for Obamacare.” He was interviewed by Politico, multiple local news organizations, and, according to his Facebook feed, was asked to be part of a conference call hosted by the Department of Health and Human Services.~snip~
Leaving aside the fact that the drooling media completely white washed the fact that Chad is an Obamabot and volunteer for OFA because...well why would that matter? It's not like they would lie to gin up support for the abysmal failure of Obamacare, would they?
The story should be the fact that the malfeasant liberal media was so desperate to prop up Obama that they didn't even bother to vet the story before running with it on all four legs.
It took bloggers to dig up Chads association with the cheerleaders of OFA and other news sources who didn't have their heads firmly planted up Obama's ass to find out that all he did was get through the first layer without actually obtaining an over priced sub par policy.

So now that the liberal/commie media has embarrassed themselves again you gotta wonder if it'll be the tipping point needed to reform their chief role as water carriers for the Obamessiah.
Somehow I doubt it.

Is it any wonder?

Why we're in the mess we're in now with such a willfully uninformed public who don't even know what it is the republicans are fighting against.
This is the reason this country is cursed with Obama, the communist leaning democrats and squishy RINO's.
Also an unsustainable budget and the coming Obamacare that will weigh this country down like a millstone in the ocean.

Single Issue Abortion Advocate Announces Governor Run

After drooling uncontrollably over someone with pink tennis shoes and a urinary catheter advocating minimum sanitary requirements and abortion at any stage the liberal/commie media and democrat party proudly announces Abortion Barbies run for Texas governor.

Wendy Davis announces she's running for Texas governor
Months after an epic fight over abortion rights made her a rising star in the Democratic Party, Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis on Thursday announced her bid for the Texas governor's office.
"We're here, of course, because we care about Texas," Davis said to a cheering crowd at Wiley G. Thomas Coliseum in Haltom City, Texas. "We're here because we care about Texans, and we're here because we believe it's time to give all Texans a voice in their future and a place in Texas' future."
The state lawmaker made the announcement at the Wiley G. Thomas Coliseum in Haltom City, Texas, where she received her high school diploma 32 years ago. Education is expected to be a major issue in her campaign. Davis reminded voters of the campaign she launched two years ago against $5 billion in cuts to education spending, helping to restore more than $3 billion of that funding.
"We love Texas not only for how good it is, but for how great we know it can be," she said. "We want every child, no matter where they start in Texas, to receive a world class education, an education that can take them anywhere they want to go."
While she's focusing largely on education, what really catapulted Davis into the spotlight this year was her 13-hour filibuster in June against a controversial abortion bill in the state legislature. While she managed to help bring down the legislation in that session, Texas lawmakers reintroduced the bill, and Gov. Rick Perry, R-Texas, signed it into law in July.~snip~
I suppose the democrats believe that the time is ripe seeing as how so many Americans have no problem electing someone who has no real accomplishments, politically, to speak of.

Texas hasn't elected a democrat governor for almost 20 years and of course the excuses put out by the commie party has nothing to do with the fact that most of the people in Texas don't want what the democrats are offering. To them it's more along the lines that the republicans have to be cheating because who wouldn't want the democrats confiscating and redistributing their wealth, devaluing human life or being hostile to businesses and jobs?

I seriously doubt the majority of Texans want what Abortion Barbie is selling.

What Media Bias?

Because the democrats keep offering their hand across the aisle and the republicans slap it back.
No wait......

TV network stories blame Republicans, 21-0, for shutdown, not Democrats
The nation’s big three news networks are falling right into place for President Obama and the Democrats, blaming the Republican Party for the government shutdown by a whopping 21-0 story count.
According to a survey by the conservative media watchdog Media Research Center, in 39 stories during the two weeks leading up to the shutdown, CBS, ABC and NBC blamed the failure to cut a budget deal on the Republicans 21 times, both parties four times, and Democrats zero times. In 14 stories, nobody was to blame.
Some examples of how the story is being played on the networks:
– "CBS Evening News" correspondent Nancy Cordes on Sept. 18: “Speaker Boehner was forced into the risky strategy by his right flank ... [a strategy] one Senate Republican described to us today as suicide.”
– ABC’s Diane Sawyer: “The president expressed outrage that one faction in one house of Congress is ready to bring the entire federal government to a halt.”
– "Face The Nation" host Bob Schieffer: “Will the moderate and more establishment Republicans continue to go along with the ultraconservatives? ... We’re headed to a shutdown unless the moderates in the House revolt.”~snip~
Checks and balances , that's what our government is supposed to do and while republicans deserve some jazz for the way they've handled it Obama and the democrats should be held accountable for their intransigence on the issues also.
But seeing as how the liberal/commie media is the propaganda arm of the democratic party it's a pretty sure bet that it'll be the republicans fault only 24/7.
The sad part is that is that a lot of people will fall for the medias leftist propaganda.

Harry Reid says it's not all "for the children"

Because sitting at home on furlough is equivalent to a child suffering with cancer. It's pretty bad when obdurate liberal political partisanship trumps life or death.
I also find it kind of myopic for Reid and the democrats being bothered by idled, and redundant, federal workers and yet having not one wit of concern for people driven from the work force or into part time employment.

Never fear though dingy, the commie/liberal media will always have your back. No matter how big a clueless doofus you are.

McClueless Strikes Again

So here we are with the federal government shutting down for the purpose of trying to get the democrats to drop a onerous tax on medical devices and delay implementation of Obamacare for a year and John McCain continues with stupid.

It's an Apocalypse!!!!
A string of unexpected events marked the first day of the federal government shutdown.

The Department of Defense released a statement early Tuesday that shocked college sports fans. The department said that all athletic competitions at the Army, Navy and Air Force academies would be postponed for as long as the government remained closed.
The Air Force and Navy are scheduled to square off in a sold-out, nationally televised football game on Saturday, while the Army has a planned match-up against Boston College. If the government impasse isn’t resolved by Thursday, both games will be suspended.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), a graduate of the Naval Academy, told reporters that the cancelation of the Air Force-Navy game would be the “defining moment” of the shutdown.

“The apocalypse is upon us,” McCain lamented
.~snip~
Yup, the same guy who uncontrollably pandered to the democrats in public.
Like trying to come up with a strategy to prevent government from taking over 1/6th of our economy and turning over all our financial and medical information to a leftist partisan government agency who makes decisions about how they enforce the tax law on political positions is so much more less important.
McCain is one of the reasons that the republican party is a laughing stock and will continue to be one until we elect people with principles.

Democrats Still Making Friends

So this clown refers to people who oppose democrats as "Taliban" and by extension anyone who supports them.
What's amazing about this is that all the leading democrats resort to name calling because they get away with it. The sad thing is that's all they have but to many people this is the only form of political discourse they understand. If a democrat says it it must be true.
The voters need to wise up and quit letting them get away with it.

Death, Taxes and Liberal Outrage

Some of the things that are sure as the sun rising and setting is death, taxes and liberal histrionics at the drop of a hat.

The inevitable result of last weeks showdown over Obamacare has culminated in the predictable shutdown of government. All this over the launch of something that seems to be performing about the same as any other government conceived and implemented program.

Surprise! Obamacare health insurance exchange websites don’t work; HealthCare.gov a total mess

Like no one could see that coming.

You'd think with all the teeth gnashing and hand wringing that Obama, congress and the senate would be looking at draconian cuts in their pay and benefits, Aw who am I kidding, like Obamacare, they've made themselves pretty much exempt from the effects of a government shutdown.
They will suffer though, having to push their own elevator buttons and all.

You can find a list of things that will effect the taxpayer here however.

10 Effects of a Federal Government Shutdown

Which is kind of interesting because the ones who'll feel any real effects from a government shutdown will be the citizens who vote.
We seem to be the only ones who have skin in the game, politicians not so much, so where is their incentive to negotiate?
We've arrived at this point over a healthcare law nobody wants and is a dismal failure the first day out.
Who should really be outraged?
