Not Such A Good Idea

I was perusing around the web and one of the blogs I visit is Third News and he posted about a story of an English (Great Britain) police department where someone thought it would be a good idea to alter the words of the poem Twas the Night Before Christmas to a poem about rape.
Just in time for the holidays I suppose.

Somehow I don't think renaming it after Tim Burtons "The Nightmare Before Christmas" helped much.

This just goes to show that there are some things better left as far away from this season as possible.

Christmases Past....1966

Not everyone supported the troops during the Vietnam era, as a matter of fact a lot of people despised them. Some holding office now ^cough* John Kerry *cough*. But there were some patriots at the time that supported the troops through thick and thin. Bob Hope was one and he made sure that he brought a little bit of home to the troops every Christmas.



Even though it wasn't a popular war, Bob Hope didn't let that stop him from showing how much he cared for the men and women who sacrificed their lives and time away from their families to serve their country.
Bob Hope and his USO ensamble were real patriots.
