Bill Maher and Flying Pigs
Apparently I can't see the flying pigs because it's pretty cloudy here today
I think it's fairly obvious that Bill Maher is miles away from having a religious epiphany but he definitely draws the line between Christianity and Islam that most liberals can't see through their rainbow colored glasses.

The Ray Rice Media Distraction
Like everyone else I've been keeping an eye on the Ray Rice beating his fiance/wife thing because the media keeps shoving it into our faces.
I'm not disputing that it's a terrible thing he did but with all the things going on in the world it seems a little strange that this is what they want to obsess over.
There's a couple of things I've been able to take away about this story.
One is that apparently beating your fiance'/wife is on par with opposing homosexual marriage because either one seems a worthy reason to lose your job.
The other thing is that the public seems to believe that they have a right to virtually flog the transgressor even though the public isn't the one he harmed.
I would think that instead of trying to banish this guy and his wife from society that people would be more interested in making this whole thing a teachable moment about how to break the cycle of domestic abuse.
I've seen couples go through this before and more time than not they seperate for a while and then without counseling they just get back together and basically rinse and repeat.
Even with counseling some couples repeat the cycle but more don't, they either separate for good or one partner learns why he/she has violent tendencies and learns to control his/her anger and urges.
If people really cared about the situation then they would pressure the NFL to suspend Ray Rice until after he and his wife successfully complete counseling for their issues.
But the media really doesn't care about this couple, what they care about is distracting the public from Benghazi, the IRS, Obamacare,ISIS/ISIL and Obama's failure to confront them or the abysmal economy and a myriad of other things.
Funny thing is that the people fall for the media's deflections every time.

Phil Donahue vs. Ayn Rand
I ran across this earlier today and watched the whole thing.
I'll admit that I read Atlas Shrugged and Fountainhead when I was in high school and both books bored me to tears but I got her lessons on free markets and her criticisms about altruism.
So I wanted to post this without much comment.
One other thing though...it reminded me about how much Donahue was an insufferable liberal douche.

A Tale of Immigrant Graditude
Here's another article that's worth reading, good thing it's the weekend and you don't have to rush through it to be on time for work.
Deport the Tsarnaev sisters
Obama is bound and determined to fling open the borders soon. Well just as soon as the midterms are over so it won't impact the other open border democrats.
Because, you see, Obama and the democrats have so little respect for the intelligence of voters that they believe postponing the threat to override congress will just pass over our heads.
But then again Obama was reelected despite his abysmal first four years.
Maybe he's on to something?
Deport the Tsarnaev sisters
The Sisters Tsarnaeva have been nothing but trouble. Double, bubbling trouble. This example is not an isolated story but is repeated countless times all over this country almost every day.
While their Boston Marathon bomber brother Dzhokhar awaits trial this month for the bloody 2012 attacks that killed three and injured hundreds, his elder Chechen immigrant siblings Ailina and Bella remain on the loose in the U.S. after their own frequent run-ins with the law.
Last week, Ailina was arrested in Harlem after allegedly threatening “to blow up her live-in lover’s baby mama,” as the New York Post reported. Police charged Ailina, 23, with aggravated harassment and released her.
Will the legal system learn? Ailina’s time in America sends one clear message: No consequences. More trouble.
In 2013, she was released without bail in South Boston in connection with a three-year-old counterfeiting case. Prosecutors said she obstructed their investigation. They charged her with willfully lying to police in 2010.~snip~

By Any Means Necessary
Here's a pretty short run down on the coercive techniques of the radical progressive left to shove their damaging and dangerous agenda down our throats.
Just the fact that they can enlist the aid of union organized civil servants to oppress speech that is contrary to theirs should raise alarm bells all across this country
A campaign to silence conservative speech
Yet we stand by and allow these partisan civil servants even more access to our personal and private information with Obamacare
What could go wrong?

Democrats Sad Cycle of Failure
Liberals used to delight in pointing out how stupid and out of touch George W. Bush was supposed to be yet somehow he knew the danger that we're facing now from an Iraq that was abandoned to soon.
Yet they still believe that rainbows and unicorn farts is the best way to deal with the savagery and brutality of ISIS/ISIL
I can't think of any democrat president or adminstration that has left office with the world in better shape than it was when they began.
Between JFK abandoning fighters at the Bay of Pigs, Johnson and McNamara escalating Vietnam then refusing to try and win the war to Carter sitting on his hands while Iran fell to the Islamic revolution. Add to that Clinton's failed "humanitarian" mission in Mogadishu and sending cruise missiles to empty tents and the failure of liberal/progressive foreign policy becomes glaring.
It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic.....democrats are the Keystone cops of foreign affairs.....with a body count.
History will not be kind to Obama for his failure to heed the advice of those before him.

Missing the Old Polaroid Camera
So, this weekend this happened.
Nude Jennifer Lawrence photos leaked by hacker who claims to have 'private pictures of 100 A-listers'
The only way they would end up in the hands of others is if you gave them away. But even then the distribution would be pretty limited.
Nowadays with digital cameras and cloud storage there is a loss of control over your private photos and documents like there has never been before.
No matter how you feel about hackers the truth is hackers are going to hack and if you're anybody famous your intimate fun time photographs have the very real potential of getting out there in the wild on the internet.
Once that happens, no matter what you do, they'll be out there forever.
Advising people to not take nude photos of themselves or others is useless advice, mostly because shortly after photography was invented people started taking nude photos.
But, maybe if you're going to do it you might want to consider something that you have more control over.
Who knows....maybe now there'll be a surge in sales of Polaroid cameras?
Nude Jennifer Lawrence photos leaked by hacker who claims to have 'private pictures of 100 A-listers'
Nude photos of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, as well as those purportedly showing other top Hollywood stars, were posted online in an apparent massive hacking leak. There used to be a time when people wanted to take nude pictures the go to device was the old Polaroid camera. Snap and shoot and then after a few minutes you'd have a pic that you could store in a shoe box under the bed for whatever reason you wanted to keep them for.
An anonymous hacker reportedly gained access to private photos on the Hunger Games actress’s mobile phone, and those of 100 others, via Apple's online storage system iCloud.
The 60-odd pictures of Lawrence in varying stages of undress were then posted on the bulletin board website 4chan.
More than 100 A-list celebrities are alleged to have been targeted, including reality TV star Kim Kardashian, singer Rihanna, models Candice Swanepoel, Cara Delevingne and Kelly Brook, and TV host Cat Deeley.~snip~
