I don't think it's any surprise that after the democrats got their asses handed to them in the midterms and on the day of the oversight hearing with Gruber and Tavener that the democrats would release their partisan report on enhanced interrogations

Majority report translates to democrats report, like there's not supposed to be any partisan bias there.
I was watching the ABC "news" and of course they led with the CIA story making lots of hay out of the democrats trotting out the doddering old moron John McCain (RINO) AZ. (you guys in Arizona should be ashamed of yourselves)
That was the extent of their partisanship.

The fourth story in they decided to report on the pompous elitist little dick Gruber and his "apology" for getting caught saying what all elitist progressives think of the American people.

The democrats have known about enhanced interrogation for 10 years but now that the majority of them have to go home with their tails between their legs it's time to take one last shot at GWB and how he prosecuted the war on terror.

Because the Obamessiah and his minions have done so much better what with the rise of ISIS/ISIL/IS or whatever they're calling themselves these days.

Now we have 7th century savages beheading or crucifying men,women and children in the country we spent blood and treasure to liberate which apparently is way better to liberal/commie/progressive democrats then interrogation of prisoners to try and avoid more deaths of American citizens.

Priorities I guess.

The Ray Rice Media Distraction

Like everyone else I've been keeping an eye on the Ray Rice beating his fiance/wife thing because the media keeps shoving it into our faces.
I'm not disputing that it's a terrible thing he did but with all the things going on in the world it seems a little strange that this is what they want to obsess over.

There's a couple of things I've been able to take away about this story.
One is that apparently beating your fiance'/wife is on par with opposing homosexual marriage because either one seems a worthy reason to lose your job.
The other thing is that the public seems to believe that they have a right to virtually flog the transgressor even though the public isn't the one he harmed.

I would think that instead of trying to banish this guy and his wife from society that people would be more interested in making this whole thing a teachable moment about how to break the cycle of domestic abuse.
I've seen couples go through this before and more time than not they seperate for a while and then without counseling they just get back together and basically rinse and repeat.
Even with counseling some couples repeat the cycle but more don't, they either separate for good or one partner learns why he/she has violent tendencies and learns to control his/her anger and urges.
 If people really cared about the situation then they would pressure the NFL to suspend Ray Rice until after he and his wife successfully complete counseling for their issues.

But the media really doesn't care about this couple, what they care about is distracting the public from Benghazi, the IRS, Obamacare,ISIS/ISIL and Obama's failure to confront them or the abysmal economy and a myriad of other things.

Funny thing is that the people fall for the media's deflections every time.

The March to Oblivion

There are all kinds of stories on the internet telling the story of the absolute depravity and cruelty of ISIS in their unimpeded march across Iraq. The slaughter of the Yazidis on mount Sinjar only being the latest.
While liberal/progressives wring their hands and bleat about the Palestinians and beat their chests over the lack of "compassion" for illegal immigrant unaccompanied minors 30,000 to 40,000 Yazidis cling to a mountain facing death if they stay where they are or descend into the hands ISIS to be butchered or sold into slavery.
All we get from this president and his administration is just more incompetence and malfeasance.

We haven't really won a fighting war since WWII and even then we gave up most of eastern Europe at the Malta conference. Korea was fought to a stand still, Kennedy's promise at the Bay of Pigs went unfulfilled and resulted in a slaughter. Johnson and McNamara continued to draft and send men to Vietnam even though they had no desire to win the war. Jimmy Carter sent numerous "strongly worded" messages to the Mullahs of Iran that were promptly laughed at. Obama stands by while Hamas pounds Israel with rockets and ISIS marches through Iraq raping, beheading and killing at will. The one thing in common with all of these is that they're democrats.

Even if our air support comes to help the Kurd s push back against the IS it's to late for history to look kindly on the dithering of Obama and his cronies who failed to try and stop the genocides that the Islamist extremists are committing in Iraq.
Obama's answer to everything, domestic and foreign, is to stand by and do nothing.
