Punishing Climate "deniers"

You know there has been a lot of talk on lefty news sites on how to punish the "climate change deniers".

Arrest Climate-Change Deniers
AL GORE: ‘CLIMATE CHANGE DENIERS MUST BE PUNISHED’
RFK Jr. wants law to ‘punish global warming skeptics’
Professor calls for execution of “climate change deniers”

You can google and find a lot more.Which is why Whedon's tweet here is so typical.
Donning my tin foil hat here but now that government is firmly ensconced in our healthcare wouldn't you think that maybe sometime in the future the climate weenies will start to require everyone to declare their position on climate change on health forms?
Then they can decide who is deserving of medicine and life saving intervention based on that.

It's just a thought.

Despite the Unsettled Science Dems Still Pushing 'Climate Change'

Because the science is "settled" the democrats continue to push 'global warming'. You know, because it was so settled that they changed it from global warming to climate change.

Fortunately sanity sometimes prevails.

Inhofe blocks climate change resolution
Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) blocked Senate Democrats on Monday from passing a resolution that would have acknowledged the reality of climate change.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) asked unanimous consent to pass S.Res. 524, which is a measure that expresses the sense of the Senate that climate change is occurring and poses a risk to the United States. But Inhofe objected.
“All we wanted to say in this resolution is climate change is happening,” Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) said on the Senate floor. “We can’t afford to sit around here debating whether climate change is real.”
Inhofe has been an ardent climate change denier, saying it is the “biggest hoax” perpetrated against mankind.~snip~
Inhofe has got it right, the whole "climate change/global warming" thing is just another attempt at income redistribution with the UN trying to make it world wide.
What's interesting about this is that from the land of Mao's Little Red Book comes this article claiming the sun and not CO2 has more effect on earth's climate. If anyone would believe in redistributing wealth you would think it would be the communist Chinese.
The science isn't settled and all Inhofe's trying to do is to keep the democrats from blindly pushing us forward on something they don't understand, like they did with health care..

BTW I remember when Mao's Little Red Book was all the rage on leftist campuses so if you ever wonder why we're where we are as a country that is one of the reasons.

The Human Infestation

Some how the discussion about climate change always turns to this.

Peter Singer: Women Should Sacrifice Having Kids to Protect Environment
Bioethicist Peter Singer compared women and children to cows overgrazing a field and said — at the global Women Deliver Conference last week, hailed as the most important meeting to focus on women and girls’ human rights in a decade — that women’s reproductive rights may one day have to be sacrificed for the environment.
The controversial Princeton University professor, known for championing infanticide and bestiality, was a featured panelist on Thursday at the three-day Women Deliver conference attended by Melinda Gates and more than 4,000 abortion and contraception activists in Kuala Lumpur.
Singer said that since the world’s affluent are not likely to restrain their high rate of consumption compared to the world’s poor any time soon, and since it’s possible that family planning efforts may “turn out to be not enough…we ought to consider what other things there are that we can do …in order to try stave off some of the worst consequences of the environmental catastrophes…”
“It’s possible of course, that we give women reproductive choices, that we meet the unmet need for contraception but that we find that the number of children that women choose to have is still such that population continues to rise in a way that causes environmental problems,” he said. Women have more children because of their “ideological or religious views.”
Singer added that “greenhouse gases… are getting very close to a tipping point,” and climate change could become a “catastrophe and cause hundreds of millions or billions of people to become climate refugees.”
In that case, he said, “we need to consider whether we can talk about trying to reduce population growth and whether that’s compatible with the very reasonable concerns people have about women’s right to control their life decisions and their reproduction.”
Singer, who has also argued the case for bestowing international human rights on primates, said it is “appropriate to consider whether women’s reproductive rights are “fundamental” and unalterable or whether, in bioethicist speak, they are “prima facie — good and important to respect but there can be imaginable circumstances in which you may be justified in overriding them.”~snip~
I've said before but it does bare repeating, at one time groups like PETA were considered fringe "out there" movements that people kind of chuckled about. Sort of like the burning bras radicalism of the feminists in the late 60's and 70's.
Now they're becoming more and more mainstream as 50 years of constant liberal indoctrination takes it's toll on society.
What Singer is proposing may seem to be considered fringe and "out there" also but the truth is the climate change fanatics and the eco-fascists have been working towards their ultimate goal for a while.

The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement
Phasing out the human race by voluntarily ceasing to breed will allow Earth’s biosphere to return to good health. Crowded conditions and resource shortages will improve as we become less dense.
These bozos have been around for a while and they're dead serious propagating the idea that human beings are little more than vermin on mother earth and need to be exterminated.
This particular group advocates that we do it "voluntarily".
Singers solution doesn't seem nearly as benign.
Who knows what will be mainstreamed 50 or 60 years in the future?
It's possible that humanity will end itself for the benefit of mother earth 100 to 150 years in the future, not with a bang but with a whimper.

EPA Prepares to Lower the Hammer

So for the last week or so Obama and the democrats have been directing the propaganda arm of the democrat party (ABC, NBC, CBS and lesser watched networks...MSNBC,CNN well you know who they are) to really bang away at the whole "global warming" or "climate change" or whatever thing they're calling it this week in advance of the EPA's big announcement.
Really cracking down on the whole carbon thingy.

President Obama’s big carbon crackdown readies for launch
The EPA will launch the most dramatic anti-pollution regulation in a generation early next month, a sweeping crackdown on carbon that offers President Barack Obama his last real shot at a legacy on climate change — while causing significant political peril for red-state Democrats.
The move could produce a dramatic makeover of the power industry, shifting it away from coal-burning plants toward natural gas, solar and wind. While this is the big move environmentalists have been yearning for, it also has major political implications in November for a president already under fire for what the GOP is branding a job-killing “War on Coal,” and promises to be an election issue in energy-producing states such as West Virginia, Kentucky and Louisiana.
The EPA’s proposed rule is aimed at scaling back carbon emissions from existing power plants, the nation’s largest source of greenhouse gases. It’s scheduled for a public rollout June 2, after months of efforts by the administration to publicize the mounting scientific evidence that rising seas, melting glaciers and worsening storms pose a danger to human society.
“This rule is the most significant climate action this administration will take,” said Kyle Aarons at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions, one of a host of groups awaiting the rule’s release. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) has urged the EPA to “go ahead boldly” with the rule, saying the agency must step in where Congress has refused to act.
But for coal country, the rule is yet another indignity for an industry already facing a wave of power plant shutdowns amid hostile market forces and a series of separate EPA air regulations. Coal-state Democrats like West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin have joined the criticism, echoing industry warnings that the fossil fuel was crucial to keeping the lights on in much of the U.S. during this past brutal winter.~snip~
Leave it to democrats and Obama to try and solve a problem that doesn't exist. So much easier to solve those than trying to stimulate the economy so the middle class won't cease to exist as we know it.
Oh hell...putting together a coherent foreign policy is next to impossible without a solution to the dreaded carbon footprint.

The only problem is that it's based on something the current administration knows all to well.
A lie.

Where Did ’97 Percent’ Global Warming Consensus Figure Come From?
~snip~But Cook’s 97 percent consensus claim was rebutted in subsequent analyses of his study. A paper by five leading climatologists published in the journal Science and Education last year found that Cook’s study misrepresented the views of most consensus scientists.
The definition Cook used to get his consensus was weak, the climatologists said. Only 41 out of the 11,944 published climate studies examined by Cook explicitly stated that mankind caused most of the warming since 1950 — meaning the actual consensus is 0.3 percent.
“It is astonishing that any journal could have published a paper claiming a 97% climate consensus when on the authors’ own analysis the true consensus was well below 1%,” said Dr. David Legates, a geology professor at the University of Delaware and the study’s lead author.~snip~
Workers and consumers are going to both take a hit from Obama's EPA one will lose jobs and income the other will see rates rise.
All for a "consensus" of .3%.

It just gets better and better don't it?

Obama to "Pivot" on Jobs, Depending on Global Warming.

Obama, sabotaging the middle class since 2008.

Obama criticizes pro-Keystone pipeline jobs, gas price claims
President Obama said the proposed Keystone XL oil sands pipeline would not be a major job creator and could increase gasoline prices, but added that the White House decision will rest on climate change
“Republicans have said that this would be a big jobs generator. There is no evidence that that’s true,” Obama said in a New York Times interview published Saturday.
Obama, in some of his most extensive remarks ever on the pipeline, also said Canada could “potentially be doing more” to curb emissions from the oil sands.
His comments follow his closely watched late June pledge that Keystone XL would only receive a federal permit if the “net” effects of the pipeline would not “significantly exacerbate” carbon pollution.~snip~
Where he gets the idea that approval for the pipeline wouldn't create jobs is a mystery to me but I gotta give him the credit for realizing that gasoline prices will rise. But not because of the Keystone XL pipeline but because of the the EPA's obstinate obstructionism to building more refineries.

As far as the "climate change" scare tactic well, there hasn't been any global warming for at least the last 15+ years.

So much for the Obama "pivot".
