Politics killed Comedy

Tucker Carlson has a point here I mean I have to think back for decades to remember a really funny comedian.

It's pretty predictable nowadays, attack Trump run the laugh track then repeat endlessly night after night.
Plenty of comedians skewered politicians in the past and it was funny because they would find humour in their policies or personality quirks. But repeating the same old mantra of racist, fascist, narcissist ad nauseum can only go so far.

I guess it's too much to ask that we go back to a time when comedians really put an effort into making people laugh instead of making political statements.
One of the shortest comedy careers that I know of was Vaughn Meader, he had an act that depended on JFK's administration and when he was assassinated the guy faded away as far as I know.
But he was funny and not the least bit vile.

No one tried to make comedy from Kennedy's assassination because no matter who you were or your politics it would have been considered in very poor taste. I'm not so sure that is the case nowadays.
In this era comedy seems to be based on the possibility.
What's funny about that?

When will the lies about terrorism stop?

You would think that at some point people will stop believing the lying pandering politicians and media and finally demand some kind of resolution to the problem of terrorism.

Tucker Carlson nails the frustration that a lot of people feel.

The Contempt of the Ruling Class and their Media Enablers

Lot of people are posting this video of of Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber admitting to hiding the truth about forcing Obama's signature legislation into law because ...you know...voters are stupid.
Like this kind of attitude by the ruling junta is a surprise.
Politicians are liars, it's in their genes, they can't help themselves. Mark Pryor lied about his stance on gay marriage hoping the voters in the state wouldn't notice.
Didn't help him much though because his stance on Obamacare is what really cost him votes.
I digress, the really sad part is that voters aren't really stupid, we're just misinformed by a derelict liberal/commie media and their daily willful malfeasance.
I'll bet anything that this video will not see the light of day on any alphabet channel's evening news tonight or any night.
That's the real scandal, not that the liberal/commie/democrats have nothing but contempt for the voting public, it's that the lapdog media carries the water for them.

Why we can't have nice things

Ugh, you know the thing is people expect this kind of behaviour from leftist/commie/liberals because everyone knows they're degenerate perverts and proud of it.
I can't think of any democrat who ran on family values or promises of upholding morality. I mean after all, they don't promise that there is anything decent about themselves at all.
That's why idiots like this give us a black eye...because leftist/commie/liberals just can't wait to pull out the hypocrisy card.

News-Star exclusive: McAllister says he's 'ashamed,' asking for forgiveness
Freshman 5th District U.S. Rep Vance McAllister, R-Swartz, said Monday night he doesn’t intend to resign despite the release of a video showing him kissing a woman who isn’t his wife.
McAllister, in an exclusive interview with The News-Star, said he has asked his wife Kelly and their five children for forgiveness and plans to stand for re-election next fall.
“I have fallen short as a husband and a father, and I feel more ashamed than you can imagine,” said McAllister, R-Swartz. “I’ve asked them for forgiveness, and I’m asking forgiveness from my constituents who elected me to serve them.”~snip~
If the guy had any real decency he'd step down and save conservatives the embarrassment of having him thrown in our faces. Course decency is a ship that's already sailed.
We don't need any more smooth talkers in politics, what we need are leaders who will walk the talk.

Obama's Edicts for the Little People

This is something that has always irritated the hell out of me.
The ways the lofty politicians find to exempt themselves from the laws they pass that apply to the rest of us.

Obama Grants Congress Obamacare Reprieve
The Obama administration has granted members of Congress and their staffers an exemption from a provision of Obamacare that could have cost them thousands of dollars a year in added health insurance costs, according to Politico.
Congress currently allots itself generous health coverage through the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program. Nearly 75 percent of premiums are taken care of. But under Obamacare, our representatives and their worker bees will be thrown onto the health care exchanges like millions of Americans – without the FEHB subsidy. Fair is fair, right?
Well, just two days after Obama assured Democratic lawmakers he was on the case – though make no mistake, many Republicans want action too – the administration has ruled that while Congress must hit the exchanges, the subsidy for their insurance will continue.
It’s good to be the king. And it’s good to be the nobility too.
Most politicians have made themselves rich while in office way beyond what a lot of us have been able to accumulate.
So why do a bunch of millionaires continue to be exempted from the same costs that any other person making over the threshold for subsidies gets?

Obamacare will be an albatross around the neck of every citizen in this country but as long as our "rulers" avoid being drug down with the rest of us they will never be able to share our pain or pass legislation to correct this boondoggle.

I can't believe that out of 350 million people in this country the current crop of thieves is the best we can do.

Global Warming Hysteria

I've lived in "tornado alley" just about most of my life and up until just a few years ago tornadoes hitting communities were considered mostly local stories.
Now they've become national news and I think we all know the why.

Piers Morgan and Bill Nye Speculate on Climate Change’s Role in Deadly Okla. Twister

During CNN’s live coverage of the deadly Oklahoma tornado on Monday night, host Piers Morgan and Bill Nye speculated on the possible role of climate change in the disaster.
“As a scientist, when you hear about the size, scale, power, devastation of this tornado, what does it tell you about the ongoing debate about climate change?” Morgan asked his guest.
Nye said climate change has to be considered after a catastrophic weather event like the devastating tornado in Oklahoma. He also claimed 10 of the last 12 years are the “warmest years recorded.”~snip~

Also we knew this was coming.

Boxer uses Okla. tornado to push carbon tax

California Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer blamed the tornado that devastated Oklahoma on global warming during a Senate floor speech Tuesday, using the opportunity to push her own plan to tax carbon dioxide emissions.
“This is climate change,” Boxer said. “This is climate change. We were warned about extreme weather: Not just hot weather, but extreme weather. When I had my hearings, when I had the gavel years ago — it’s been a while — the scientists all agreed that what we’d start to see was extreme weather.”
“Carbon could cost us the planet,” Boxer added, plugging her own carbon tax bill, co-sponsored by Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders. “The least we could do is put a little charge on it so people move to clean energy.”
Never mind that there has been a decrease in the number of strong to violent tornadoes since the 50's.

There seems to be a misconception out there that "global warmists" and the modern progressive media care about what happens to the people in this country.
The truth is they don't, what they do care about is controlling every facet of our lives from birth to death and finding a way for us to pay heavily for being alive and using the "resources" of the planet. Of course they'll be the ones who decide how best to distribute the confiscated, by force, funds.

What happened to the people in Oklahoma city and other areas affected by tornadoes is tragic and they deserve all our efforts to help them.
What is reprehensible is the way the liberal progressive commie politicians and lapdog media stand upon the bodies simply to push their ill considered and heartless agendas.

It's time to call these clowns out for what they really are and stop buying into their blatant lies about them caring about anyone but themselves.

The Law of Consequences,Eco-style

I guess it's to much to expect politicians to think something through before passing legislation in an "prevent global warming" type of frenzy.

SBU Study Reveals Harmful Effects of CFL Bulbs to Skin

“Our study revealed that the response of healthy skin cells to UV emitted from CFL bulbs is consistent with damage from ultraviolet radiation,” said Professor Rafailovich. “Skin cell damage was further enhanced when low dosages of TiO2 nanoparticles were introduced to the skin cells prior to exposure.” Rafailovich added that incandescent light of the same intensity had no effect on healthy skin cells, with or without the presence of TiO2.
“Despite their large energy savings, consumers should be careful when using compact fluorescent light bulbs,” said Professor Rafailovich. “Our research shows that it is best to avoid using them at close distances and that they are safest when placed behind an additional glass cover.”

So in a rush to prove to the unhinged eco-warriors out there that the politicians care more about their votes than the well being of their constituents they passed a bill phasing out much safer incandescent bulbs for the more hazardous CFL's.

Yeah that's about right cause at least we're saving the planet. No matter how many people get UV burns and cancer from it.
My advice is to lay in a good supply of incandescent bulbs and hope the eco-hysteria will go away.
But don't hold your breath.

Congressional Priorities

Having solved all the major problems in this country of unemployment, the fiscal cliff, over regulation of business and securing a budget, congress turns it's attention to those pesky little details.
......oh wait.

Congress Overwhelmingly Votes to Ban the Word ‘Lunatic

Who says Washington can’t get anything done?
Our duly elected representatives have a reputation for being forever locked in disagreement, but apparently they can reach a conclusion when facing issues of linguistic politics. On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted 398-1 in support of a bill banning the use of the word “lunatic” in all federal legislation, the BBC reported.
The House vote comes after the Senate approved the motion in May. The bill, which will now be passed on to President Obama for his signature, is intended to erase outdated or derogatory terms from the U.S. legal code.
We now have a federal government who prioritizes peoples feelings over the peoples business as their main legislative priority.
They keep it up and there won't be many words left to describe these incompetent, logic impaired half wits we keep electing to office. How has it come to this?
No wonder we're heading to the crapper at warp speed.

Cause and Effect, GOP Governors Reduce Unemployment

It's easy to blame the unemployed for their predicament but the truth is that there needs to be jobs available for them to seek before they can contribute to the work force.
If the federal government creates a hostile environment for business to thrive in then it's no wonder that there are more people out of work.
But we can do something about it and some states already have.

New Republican governors rapidly bringing down unemployment in their states
Voters in 17 states elected new Republican governors in November 2010. This new breed of fiscally-conservative, tea party-supported Republican governors took office in January 2011. Here is how those states have fared since then, in terms of their unemployment rates:
Kansas - 6.9% to 6.1% = a decline of 0.8%
Maine - 8.0% to 7.4% = a decline of 0.6%
Michigan - 10.9% to 8.5% = a decline of 2.4%
New Mexico - 7.7% to 6.7% = a decline of 1.0%
Oklahoma - 6.2% to 4.8% = a decline of 1.4%
Pennsylvania - 8.0% to 7.4% = a decline of 0.6%
Tennessee - 9.5% to 7.9% = a decline of 1.6%
Wisconsin - 7.7% to 6.8% = a decline of 0.9%
Wyoming - 6.3% to 5.2% = a decline of 1.1%
Alabama - 9.3% to 7.4% = a decline of 1.9%
Georgia - 10.1% to 8.9% = a decline of 1.2%
South Carolina - 10.6% to 9.1% = a decline of 1.5%
South Dakota - 5.0% to 4.3% = a decline of 0.7%
Florida - 10.9% to 8.6% = a decline of 2.3%
Nevada - 13.8% to 11.6% = a decline of 2.2%
Iowa - 6.1% to 5.1% = a decline of 1.0%
Ohio - 9.0% to 7.3% = a decline of 1.7%
Fact is that we can do better by selecting politicians who will encourage business growth in their states and ultimately for the country.
Conservatives ain't looking for someone to love, we're looking for someone to lead, the libtards and MSM can continue to seek a love affair all they want.
But the time has come for the star struck masses to wake up and put America back to work again.
