Well lo and behold, after the drubbing of abortion by coverage of the grisly Gosnell trial it seems that the leftists are in a rush to find a new face to clean up their belief in murder on demand.

Basically a puff piece celebrating a woman's refusal to allow even the most basic protections for women and the unborn.

No doubt on the outside Wendy Davis is a very attractive woman and the media of course jumped all over this in order to get the image of Gosnell and his horrific crimes out of the consciousness of the public and put what abortion is all about far behind an attractive woman who advocates the woman's "right" to choose to kill her baby right up to birth.

But never mind that, look new shoes!!!

I really don't understand why the liberal/commie media believes they can manipulate womens attitudes on these issues by throwing fashion at them. Do they really believe that the female mind is so easily manipulated that all it takes is a makeover and a glamour shot to get them to forget all about an issue?

And concern was rising inside and outside the organization about Douglas J. Anybody who's lived in Arkansas for any time knows that the kind of "good old boy" politics that the Clintons practice was finely honed during Bills time as governor.
What's really interesting is the appropriation of the foundation as a base of operations for Hillary.

In the coming months, as Mrs. Clinton mulls a 2016 presidential bid, the foundation could also serve as a base for her to home in on issues and to build up a stable of trusted staff members who could form the core of a political campaign.
Mrs. Clinton’s staff at the foundation’s headquarters includes Maura Pally, a veteran aide who advised her 2008 presidential campaign and worked at the State Department, and Madhuri Kommareddi, a former policy aide to President Obama.
Dennis Cheng, Mrs. Clinton’s deputy chief of protocol at the State Department and a finance director of her presidential campaign, will oversee the endowment drive, which some of the Clintons’ donors already describe as a dry run for 2016.
And Mrs. Clinton’s personal staff of roughly seven people — including Huma Abedin, wife of the New York mayoral candidate Anthony D. Weiner — will soon relocate from a cramped Washington office to the foundation’s headquarters. They will work on organizing Mrs. Clinton’s packed schedule of paid speeches to trade groups and awards ceremonies and assist in the research and writing of Mrs. Clinton’s memoir about her time at the State Department, to be published by Simon & Schuster next summer.

That right there begs the question that, seeing as how the Clinton Foundation is listed as a 501(c)930 organization, if Hillary runs in 2015 for president will the Foundation get the same scrutiny as Tea Party aligned organizations do?

Where were the media and unions before this trainwreck of a law was forced down our throats?
Now the elite liberal/commie media wants to report on the "unintended consequences" of Obamacare as if these couldn't have been seen before they had to "pass it to see what's in it".

But then again this is exactly the kind of intentional malfeasance we've come to expect from the lapdog liberal/commie media. The fact that so many Americans swallow the left wing propaganda spewed by the democrat owned media is just really sad.

Slapping Down the Clowns

So I been reading about the "Great Obama Clown" controversy at the Missouri state fair, you know the one that the liberal/commie media and the democrats ginned up so they can all go into outrage mode.
I gotta tell you it's finally sunk to the theater of the absurd.
One clown banned for life, all the others ordered to sensitivity training not to mention the forced resignations, along with some republican RINO's playing the faux outrage card. (why in the world do people elect these morons?)

One of the things they seem to object to is the "suggestion of violence" towards Obama. along with the "disrespect".

Of course these same liberal/commie democrats didn't seem to be shocked with a movie of suggested assassination towards George W. Bush nor was there a whole lot of outrage over images like this.

Thing is all this controversy is simply an effort by the liberal/commie media to provide an object lesson to the rest of the country. To play the offended party to show us all that they basically have us by the cojones' and we sure as hell better fall in line or there will be consequences. Ya know like the IRS mistreating us or Paula Deen losing everything she worked for because.....well because liberal/commies feel like it.

Pretty soon they'll be comparing criticism of Obama to publishing cartoons of Mohammed but instead of "beheading" people literally they'll do it figuratively. But destroying your business, or making you unemployable and marginalizing you from society.

Kind of a modern day shunning.

The "Angel Priest" Saga

Well this has finally come to an end, to the joy of religion haters everywhere, the "Angel Priest" appears to be a mere mortal.

The “angel priest” who appeared at the scene of a Missouri car crash, anointed and prayed with the teenage victim, then vanished has been identified as Rev. Patrick Dowling of the Jefferson City Diocese.
A press release provided to FoxNews.com by the diocese said Father Dowling had been travelling Highway 19 between Mass assignments in northern and central Missouri when he arrived near the crash scene Aug. 4.
The arrival of the unidentified priest, who seemed to come out of nowhere, then attend to the victim before disappearing just as mysteriously, touched off nationwide speculation about the identity of the “angel” cleric.
Dowling actually identified himself in a comment posting on a story about his actions on the National Catholic Register website Friday night. The posting, one among many, appeared to go unnoticed for several days.~snip~

I honestly didn't believe that the incident was actually a heavenly manifestation but you can't deny that this priest was exactly where he was, when it mattered and when he was needed. That in itself defies coincidence.
But the truth is that for those who don't believe and despise those who do this will be just another opportunity to mock people of faith.
When you think about it though what does it matter?
Miracles don't have to present themselves as ethereal beings sent by God, they can actually be humans manipulated by events. But then again Christians know that so what the others think is pretty much moot.

On Sticky Floors and Stale Popcorn

So I've been reading about what a difficult summer it's been for Hollywood studios and their big block busters crashing and burning for a few weeks now.
It seems the latest one looking to crash and burn is "Elysium".

REPORT: MATT DAMON'S 'ELYSIUM' IN TROUBLE

One way to get a handle on how a film will do at the box office its opening weekend is the Thursday midnight screenings. Early reports show that Elysium made $1.6 million, which Variety called "modest. This is better than the outright box office disappointments "After Earth" and "Oblivion," but nowhere near the blockbuster Sony had hoped for.
Two weeks ago, the box office disappointment "Pacific Rim" opened to $3.6 million on the Thursday night before its release."Man of Steel" enjoyed a $9 million Thursday night haul.
Sony is predicting a $35 million opening, which is considered lowball for this kind of big-budget summer sci-fi tentpole.That kind of prediction shows a lack of faith in the film's box office prospects and a studio terrified of bad publicity should they shoot higher and miss.

In Sony's defense, though, "Elysium" is not a franchise or sequel, and as of late original films have been faltering.
"Elysium" cost Sony in excess of $100 million to produce. With promotional costs, that is likely closer to $175 million. In order to break even, Sony will have to clear at least $400 million worldwide.
"Elysium" received okay reviews, but the film's overt left-wing (and some would say, hypocritical) political message has already made it a punch-line among conservatives -- who make up about half the audience Sony had hoped would buy tickets.~snip~

I've read all kinds of reasons for why this one will under perform, mostly about it's left leaning preaching about the "haves" and the "have nots", which if you really think about it has been pretty standard fare for a while.
Personally I haven't seen a movie in quite a few years that I was ready to rush right out and see in a theater on opening day.
I never really cared for the indoor movie experience being old enough to have gone to drive-ins, first with my family and then as a date alternative and then for a while with my own family.
Drive-ins were great, instead of having to pack into the theater shoulder to shoulder and sharing armrests with who knows who, we could park a car, push the seat back or pull lawn chairs from the trunk eat snacks from home and enjoy a movie with some personal space.
But I digress, the thing that keeps me from going to an indoor theater now is if I wait a few months (weeks in some cases) I can stream a movie to my TV through Amazon or my cable/satellite provider and watch what I want from the comfort of my own couch. And much cheaper also.
Add to that the ability to pause for a bathroom break so I don't have to miss any dialog or action and I can't see any reason to over pay for a ticket, soda and popcorn in a crowded theater.

Technology has made going out to movie a non-event, a hassle and a colossal waste of money.
That's why the box office is dying.
Nowadays, in the Obama economy, people need to make decisions on how to spend their entertainment dollars and if the studios continue to offer dreck at the box office then where is the incentive for people to pay more to watch it?

I'm beginning to think that the National Football League has forgotten that football as a game is entertainment.

NFL Plans To Crack Down On Excessive Celebrations This Season

The National Football League will reportedly be cracking down on excessive celebrations and taunting this upcoming season.
Pro Football Talk reports that that referees working training camps have been warning players about celebrating too much.
The taunting rule is nothing new in the NFL, but what some critics have dubbed the “No Fun League,” officials will now go a step further to enforce the rule.
The NFL rule book states that a team will be penalized a loss of 15 yards if a player commits these acts: “sack dances; home run swing; incredible hulk; spiking the ball; spinning the ball; throwing or shoving the ball; pointing; pointing the ball; verbal taunting; military salute; standing over an opponent (prolonged and with provocation); or dancing.”~snip~

I've watched pro-football for years, my Dad was a big fan also, and sometimes the best part of some games was the end zone celebrations. (Detroit Lions Thanksgiving games come to mind before Dallas started playing them too.)

Sure it was irritating when the Raiders or San Diego got a touch down and celebrated but really, over the last few years how often was that?

If the league sucks to much fun out of the game they may lose their audience and all the fans will have left is gossiping about baby daddies and gang tats.
