Why Christianity and Morality Matters

I laughed out loud when I read this article.

TV News Reporters Speak Out About Explosion of Explicit On-the-Street Taunts
It’s not a new problem, but it’s one that by most accounts is getting worse.
A growing number of TV news reporters say over the past year, there has been an increase in the level of sexually explicit taunts they face while covering stories on public streets. The disturbing trend involves hecklers running up and yelling, “F–k her right in the pu–y” into microphones as reporters stand in front of the camera.
“The acronym ‘F her in the P’ is constant,” NBC4 Southern California reporter Beverly White told TheWrap. “Total strangers, typically young men, shout that profanity like they have a right, and I beg to differ. It is deeply offensive and it’s infuriating.”
The obscene interruptions started to gain notoriety in May 2014. The first known incident was initially thought to have been said by a heckler during a live broadcast in Cincinnati, Ohio. The footage went viral, but the stunt turned out to be a hoax. Still, the copycat incidents are all too real.~snip~
The liberal media has spent decades tearing down barriers to morality and marginalizing Christianity and now they're calling foul on the society they created.
I'm old enough to remember when people had more respect for others than to shout this kind of obscenity at others. Especially when women were around.
Mostly because there was a line that most wouldn't cross and if anyone did their peers would express their disapproval.
I mean I could imagine moral people or Christian youths maybe mugging at a camera or waving their arms behind them but uttering something like this wouldn't even be considered.
But now that the liberal/commie media has marginalized good character or a belief system that encourages good citizenship they're upset over the monster that they have created.

The medias disconnect from the consequences of their own actions is amazing.

The Pitfalls of New Wealth

You know with all the stories about the amazing response to Memories Pizza after they were forced out of business by an unscrupulous reporter looking to pander to an intolerant, hateful minority (over $800,000 as of this post)  it seems like a good time to consider the unique problems for people with sudden wealth,
Not that I think that the recipients of peoples amazing generosity will be irresponsible with their windfall but because there are, sadly, consequences to suddenly finding oneself somewhat wealthy.

Ex-NFL player Phillip Buchanon shares drawbacks of newfound wealth
~Buchanon's book is, in fact, out, and he was nice enough to give FOXSports.com an exclusive excerpt. Here is Buchanon, discussing how his relationship changed with his mother, once he made it big:
Soon after the draft, she told me that I owed her a million dollars for raising me for the past 18 years. Well, that was news to me. If my mother taught me anything, it's that this is the most desperate demand that a parent can make on a child. The covenant of having a child is simply that you give your child everything possible, and they owe you nothing beyond a normal amount of love and respect. There is no financial arrangement. If you get old and infirm, and your kids are around to help you out at that point, then you're lucky. It's not written in the social contract. The mothers and fathers of the world have been rearing their kids for generations -- in every culture imaginable -- and it's a one-way street when it comes to money. If they pay you back someday, and you really are going through hard times, then that's just a bonus, a gratuity for being a great mother or father.~
This is an interesting cautionary tale.

So.... What Have We Learned in the Past 2 Weeks?

I don't know about the rest of you but I've learned that basically all democrats and about half of the republicans are actively working against every single one of us.
That the liberal commie media is pretty much owned by the democrat party .

The so-called shut down didn't really shut down anything, it just delayed it for a while and in essence Obama and the democrats have earned a blank check to bankrupt the country.
We still have an over bloated and dysfunctional "health" program being forced down our throats, whether we want it or not.

It seems to me that the opposition to an eventual crash and burn of our way of life and economy is so intransigent that the only conclusion I can come to is that the eventual collapse of our society has to be deliberate.
I know that sounds like crazy talk but with the available evidence it's the only thing that makes sense.

The only thing left to do is to just sit back and watch it happen and then to suffer through it with everyone else who are determined to damage the middle class and society.
Maybe then they'll decide what they've forced on the rest of us wasn't such a good idea.
Hopefully the pushback will be swift and brutal.

Truly a Wondrous Age

This is just something I can't pass up posting about.
First the wonderful creation of a seedless watermelon, something my father didn't live long enough to experience.

Now this.
Australian scientists discover the secret to hydrating beer
SAY goodbye to the dreaded Monday morning hangover, thanks to researchers from a Queensland university who have discovered it may be possible to improve the hydrating effects of beer.
Since the beginning of time,  it seems sipping on a frosty cold beer has been a necessity on a scorching hot day. This can be counter-intuitive at times, given alcohol actually increases dehydration and leads to drunkenness, risky behavior and eventually, the hangover.
However, researchers from Griffith University’s Health Institute may have answered every Australians prayers. They have found that by adding electrolytes, a common ingredient found in sports drinks, and reducing the alcohol content could make a beer more refreshing than ever.
As part of the study the Institute manipulated the electrolyte levels of two commercial beers, one that was regular strength and one that was light. They then gave those two beers to volunteers who had been heavily exercising just before consumption to test their fluid recovery.
The study showed that the light beer that had been combined with electrolytes was one third more effective at hydrating a person than a regular beer. The best news for beer drinkers was that the taste of the modified beverages didn’t change.~snip~
A slow whittling away of consequences from over indulging on weekends, the eventual demise of the beer hangover.
If they could find a solution to the dreaded "beer goggles" then weekends could become perfect.

Now They Notice?

Where were the media and unions before this trainwreck of a law was forced down our throats?
Now the elite liberal/commie media wants to report on the "unintended consequences" of Obamacare as if these couldn't have been seen before they had to "pass it to see what's in it".

But then again this is exactly the kind of intentional malfeasance we've come to expect from the lapdog liberal/commie media. The fact that so many Americans swallow the left wing propaganda spewed by the democrat owned media is just really sad.
We should demand better.

Lib. Media vs. Keystone Kops

So it seems that all these reporters boarded an Aeroflot plane bound for Cuba and missed Snowden by thiiissss much.....

Search still on for Edward Snowden as Aeroflot plane lands in Cuba without whistleblower on board
Russian reporters on board the flight and foreign press gathered at Havana airport reported no sightings of Snowden or any unusual security.
When the captain of the Aeroflot plane emerged from customs he was surrounded by photographers. He pulled out his own camera, took picture of the photographers and said "No Snowden, no."
Members of the aircraft's crew also told reporters on the plane soon after take-off that Snowden was not on board.
The founder of the WikiLeaks secret-spilling organisation, Julian Assange, earlier insisted that, though he couldn't go into details about where Snowden was, knew said he was safe elsewhere. Snowden has applied for asylum in Ecuador, Iceland and possibly other countries, Assange said. ~snip~
They did get a picture of his empty seat though. Which should rank up there with other journalist gems

such as Barbara Walters riveting question to Katherine Hepburn.
"If you were a tree, what kind would you be?"
There's modern journalism for you.

I'm kind of torn about this, on the one hand I'm not really happy that this guy released classified information and is being used by countries that don't have our, or anybody else's, best interests at heart.
On the other hand it's kind of humorous the way it highlights Obama and his administration's ineptitude and incompetence when it comes to protecting our vital secrets and their ability to bumble diplomacy with other countries.

But, since most of Obama's base hates America and would be delighted to see us embarrassed I can believe that Obama isn't in a real hurry to have Snowden extradited and stand trial.
His commie base would howl like the damned if their hero was prosecuted.

Also the good news about him not making the plane is that we won't be subjected to the presses puffy fluffer pieces on what a great guy Snowden is.
Personally I think he should be brought back and face the consequences for his actions.
Lets face it, if his motivations were as altruistic as every left wing slobbering idiot claims then he would have stayed here and defended his actions.

BTW, the liberal/commie Obama media makes the Keystone Kops look competent in comparison.
At least they can find who they're looking for.

A Week of Change

Here's a reminder via Breitbart News of what's at stake this week from the Supreme Court.

U.S. Braces for Historic Supreme Court Decisions
This week the Supreme Court will hand down four decisions that will mark a turning point for the United States, and some possible outcomes could even change the course of this country for the rest of our national existence.
The High Court heard 75 cases this year. As this week begins, 64 have been decided, meaning the final 11 will come down this week as the Court concludes its 2012 Term. Seven are run-of-the-mill cases, but the other four are as big as they get. ~snip~
I don't believe that the term "conservative" really means much anymore as far as what the court will do with these issues. It seems to have a mind of it's own.
Even though Justice Scalia questions the sanity of "moralist" judges, historically the court hasn't shied away from making pronouncements from on high. So I don't see much hope for them ruling in favor of common sense. Their ruling on Obamacare pretty much taught me that.

But then again I have to agree with Justice Roberts.
“Members of this Court…we possess neither the expertise nor the prerogative to make policy judgments.  Those decisions are entrusted to our Nation’s leaders, who can be thrown out of office if the people disagree with them.  It is not our job to protect people from the consequences of their political choices.”
And he's right, we are where we are in this particular point in history because of the choices we all made at the ballot box.
As long as we can't spare 10 minutes a day away from American Idol and TMZ to make ourselves aware of what politicians are doing to society  in our name then nothing will change.
Only until the boot of the liberal/progressive commie democrats and RINOs tightens to the point that we all suffer under their tyranny will we throw off their oppression and vote them out on their asses.

If we are still able to vote by then.

Fairness...as Defined by Obama

Well, since the election Obama's agenda has been moving steadily forward. Requiring employers who cannot afford to do so to provide medical insurance to all employees.
In order to maintain their business some are scaling back and are forced to layoff workers, some are even closing down their businesses because of the burden of Obamacare and stifling regulations.

But fear not, even with the economy going into the crapper and jobs and small businesses going the way of the Dodo, Obama and his administration are moving forward to ensure equal results across the board.

Obama To Unleash Racial-Preferences Juggernaut

If your organization has a policy or practice that doesn't benefit minorities equally, watch out: The Obama administration could sue you for racial discrimination under a dubious legal theory that many argue is unconstitutional.
President Obama intends to close "persistent gaps" between whites and minorities in everything from credit scores and homeownership to test scores and graduation rates.
His remedy — short of new affirmative-action legislation — is to sue financial companies, schools and employers based on "disparate impact" complaints — a stealthy way to achieve racial preferences, opposed 2 to 1 by Americans.
Under this broad interpretation of civil-rights law, virtually any organization can be held liable for race bias if it maintains a policy that negatively impacts one racial group more than another — even if it has no racist motive and applies the policy evenly across all groups.
If this keeps going then the only logical result will be minority preference at soup kitchens and unemployment lines.
Elections do have consequences.

Doesn't seem to be a word about it from the liberal, commie media outlets. Makes you wonder what they're trying to hide don't it?
I mean after all the Obamessiah has already been re-elected so they no longer have anything to cover for.
Real pain for real families is coming and there's almost zero chance it can be avoided.
If you want to follow the decline of the American work force you can do it here.

It's going to be a long and difficult 4 years.
