The Religion of Nonbelief

I am truly confused by the cult of atheism.

Atheists unveil monument by Ten Commandments
STARKE, Fla. –  A group of atheists unveiled a monument to their nonbelief in God on Saturday to sit alongside a granite slab that lists the Ten Commandments in front of the Bradford County courthouse.
As a small group of protesters blasted Christian country music and waved ‘‘Honk for Jesus’’ signs, the atheists celebrated what they believe is the first atheist monument allowed on government property in the United States.
‘‘When you look at this monument, the first thing you will notice is that it has a function. Atheists are about the real and the physical, so we selected to place this monument in the form of a bench,’’ said David Silverman, president of American Atheists.
It also serves another function — a counter to the religious monument that the New Jersey-based group wanted removed. It’s a case of if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.~snip~
How is erecting a monument not a religious act?
My understanding is the purpose of erecting a monument is to symbolize a reverence for a place or an ideal.

Will atheists conduct pilgrimages to the site to stand in silent ambivalence to the idea of a creator?
The idea of erecting a monument to nothing to counteract a monument to faith seems to me to be so empty as to be meaningless.
Which is kind of stupid when you think about it.
It ain't a competition guys, either you believe or you don't, all you're doing now is making asses out of yourselves.

That Ship has Already Sailed

I guess it's no secret that the republican party has already left conservatives behind after the disastrous results of 2012.
It couldn't get anymore wishy-washy than offering Massachusetts Mitt after trying to force lame McCain on us previously.

Voter turnout was lower than it had been in the 2 previous presidential elections which, according to the article, about 93 million eligible voters didn't participate.

I'm sure more than a few million of those where conservatives who have just given up on the RNC being able to offer a clear choice in 2012.

The RNC has left conservatives with no real clear choice.

Which is why, in my opinion, it's about time someone started forcefully stating the obvious.

Palin Floats Leaving GOP
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said on Saturday that if Republicans abandon conservatives, conservatives may have to consider leaving the Republican Party.
Palin was responding on Fox News to a question from a viewer, Josh Painter, who asked if she and conservative talk radio host Mark Levin would be willing to form a "Freedom Party" if the GOP continues to let down conservatives.
"I love the name of that party," Palin said on Fox News on Saturday. "If the GOP continues to back away from the planks in our platform, from the principles that built this party of Lincoln and of Reagan, then, yeah, more and more of us are going to start saying, 'You know, what's wrong with being independent?'"
Palin said that if Republicans vote for things like amnesty, "there will be a lot of us who start saying, 'GOP, if you abandon us, we have nowhere else to go except to become more independent and not enlisted in one or the other private majority parties that rule in our nation.'"
She said that both national parties are "private parties" and nobody forces Americans to be "enlisted in either party."
Palin's remarks represent the frustrations of conservatives who note Republicans lose when they nominate moderate candidates in national elections.~snip~
It's time to start getting the idea out there and for conservatives to have a really serious conversation about it.
Conservatives aren't killing the republican party, the republican party is killing itself by not fielding candidates conservatives can get behind.
If they choose another squishy RINO for 2016 they're as good as dead anyway.

McRINO Yukking it Up......

....after putting the screws to the middle class by pushing amnesty for illegals with Chuckie Schumer.

Seriously, does anybody really think these two "peas in a pod" have the working men/womens best interests at heart?
McCain and Flake are facing a recall petition.
BTW there's a petition out there to recall RINO Rubio also.
Recall Senator Marco Rubio

I think we would do well to remember the image of McCain laughing his ass off at those who swallowed his horse shit about needing to secure the border when he ran last time.

It's time to send a clear sign to the RNC that we will no longer tolerate out and out liars for candidates to Washington.

Raging at Rubio

At one time Marco Rubio was considered a rising star of the Republican Party, but after a surprise  turning of principles he's become like any other RINO.
Interested in pandering to liberal/commie open border interests instead of protecting the middle class.

Go to here to his facebook page and let him know how you feel, along with thousands of other betrayed Americans.

Rubio you're toast.

Marco Rubio

Just a few postings: Names redacted.

  •  Liberals will sell their souls before they will betray their party....today you became a sell-out. Just ONCE I would like to see a Republican who has honor, integrity, courage, and has the backbone to stand. I thought we had found that in you. Sadly, we did not....and I am so disappointed.
  •  I've often wondered if "they" didn't get Rubio involved in this precisely to destroy him...and he fell for it. I do believe the Dems were afraid of a Rubio run in 2016 and that he would swamp the Hispanic vote. This was a plan to take him out...and it has worked. Too bad he was too taken with himself to see this.
  •  http://therightscoop.com/mark-levin-rubio-texted-me-and-told-me-what-im-saying-about-the-gang-of-8-bill-is-not-accurate/ You just destroyed your political career. Whoever challenges you for the Senate on the conservative or libertarian side will get my support. You just destroyed any presidential aspirations you had. BTW, I have family that's Hispanic and I am totally against this pork laden horrific bill. You are a a power hungry fool.
  • They said you were a rising star. They said you were a young, fresh conservative. They were wrong. You sold us a democrat bill that will do nothing to help this nation. Thanks for nothing. You'll have to work extra hard to win the next election. Good luck with that. And if there is a next time, where a big "D".
  •  Well Obama has a "Minnie me" . We thought we had someone trustworthy . I believe all these politicians are reading from Obama's handbook . Lie to them tell them what they want to hear , then do what you damn please .
  • Thank you for making me feel just as sick as I did the day Obama was re-elected .
  • You have successfully helped destroy this country . Thank God that my faith is in him alone .
The gang of ocho, making friends at every turn.

Time to Turn on the GOP?

I got pointed to this article by a friend on Facebook.

A Big RIP to the GOP
Today I rescind all association with the Republican Party.  I will no longer allow my vote to be taken for granted by an entity whose interests have diverged so far from my own over the past quarter-century.  I will never again vote for a Republican candidate simply because he or she is less evil than his or her Democratic counterpart.  I'm tired of compromising my principles to support a party that has none.
Don't try to feed me the line that "I'm just playing into the Democrats' hands" or "don't throw the baby out with the bathwater."  The Republican bathwater has become so fouled by such stalwarts as Lindsey Graham and John McCain and their ilk that the poor baby immersed in it can no longer help being permanently corrupted and infected by it.  Look what it did to baby Marco, who just a few short months ago many were touting as the coming Conservative Messiah.  I'm happy to say I wasn't among them, but many feel extremely betrayed, and rightly so.  Be very careful, Senator Ayotte.
We often criticize black voters for their undying allegiance to the Democratic Party, which has operated counter to their interests for decades.  By giving the same measure of allegiance to the Republican Party, we conservatives are no better.  It's like battered wife syndrome: they promise us they won't do it again, and we keep supporting them and coming back for more.~snip~
There ain't anything here I can disagree with, the GOP has turned on conservatives over and over for years and so many of us just kept coming back for more.
For a lot of us it's become a vicious cycle, they keep throwing the same liberal pandering trash at us and we become stuck realizing that the garbage candidates we get are just barely marginally better than what the democrats put out there.
Then the RNC gives us a big old shit eating grin and basically says to us,"what choice you got chumps?".

Conservatives were actually mystified about why so many fellow conservatives stayed home when all they were offered was "Massachusetts Mitt", this after having McRINO forced down our throats.

Lots of people have talked about trying to rehabilitate the Republican party  but think about it, their response to being beaten in the last election was to try and figure out ways to surrender to the democrats on issues. To make themselves over to an even heavier "democrat lite".

There maybe no rehabilitation possible. If anyone can come up with another alternative (other than Ron Paul) then I'm in.

The New Rainbow Nation

As I was watching all the liberal/commie news media yesterday slobbering uncontrollably over the decisions handed down by the Supreme Court, I couldn't help but reflect about how we got to this point.
Then I read Justice Scalia's dissent and realized that he got it right.
To question its high-handed invalidation of a presumptively valid statute is to act (the majority is sure) with the purpose to "dis- parage," "injure," "degrade," "demean," and "humiliate" our fellow human beings, our fellow citizens, who are homo- sexual. All that, simply for supporting an Act that did no more than codify an aspect of marriage that had been unquestioned in our society for most of its existence— indeed, had been unquestioned in virtually all societies for virtually all of human history. It is one thing for a society to elect change; it is another for a court of law to impose change by adjudging those who oppose it hostes humani generis, enemies of the human race.
This whole campaign to fundamentally change society was waged on a platform of hatred, threats, marginalization, patently false assertions and lies about a good many citizens of this country.
We wouldn't be at this point if the forces of "change" hadn't been able to effectively wage a war against religion in the name of tolerance. Without the liberal/commie media this wouldn't have been possible as they bent over backwards to silence opposing views.

Already the stage is set for future oppression, take the recent case of Paula Deen, who BTW was a big cheerleader for liberalism and "hope and change".
All this after it was revealed in a deposition that she uttered the n***** word 27 years ago.

I'm not defending her, I kind of enjoy it when liberals eat their own, but it is a harbinger of what's in store in the future.
I can see liberal news media talking heads asking people if they were "Jesus freaks" in the 70's or "are you now or have you ever been a member of a southern Baptist church" or attended a Catholic school?

With each step the gay friendly politically correct media and leaders make the greater the push will be to purge every last pocket of resistance to their desires.
This country won't be defeated by a foreign army, it will be defeated by the haters of freedom within.

RINO Hack Meghan McCain Celebrates:Update

By showing her lack of class, cause rubbing it in is always a graceful thing to do.
Don't forget that her daddy wants to legalize a few million illegals so they can compete for whatever jobs are left and further erode wages and benefits for Americans.
Wonder how she'll celebrate that?

A little update here: Enough Is Enough… ‘Gang of 8′ Members Jeff Flake & John McCain Face Recall Petitions

Bout time if you ask me.
