Don't Blame the IRS....they just don't like us

Remember when we had a responsive government....yeah me neither.

IRS ignoring 60 percent of taxpayers’ calls as deadline looms
IRS Commissioner John Koskinen said Tuesday that service at his agency has gotten so bad that they are ignoring more than 60 percent of taxpayers’ phone calls during this tax season.
Speaking at the National Press Club, Mr. Koskinen pleaded with more money, saying a budget boost would help them staff their overwhelmed customer service lines. He also said it would help reverse staffing cuts in their compliance division, where he said the government will lose $2 billion this year in money it would otherwise have been able to collect if it had better staffing.
Congress has cut or held the agency’s funding static for several years now, with lawmakers deeming the agency recalcitrant in solving problems, and unrepentant for having targeted tea party groups for intrusive scrutiny.~snip~
Need I remind everyone what happens if we ignore the IRS?
Unless you're a race pimp and Obama is our BFF.

What does Ebola and the Zombie Apocalypse have in common?

The comparison may be a bit of a stretch by stay with me for a minute.
Anyone familiar with the zombie apocalypse genre knows that survivors are pretty much on their own as zombies over run the world.
In every book, movie and television show out there the governments fail to anticipate, plan for or develop strategies to protect anyone from the coming zombie plague.
Including themselves.
What governments essentially become is what they are right now, incompetent.

So the current bumbling around by the federal government and it's agencies to contain the Ebola virus in the United States shouldn't be any surprise. Especially considering who's in charge.
Every fiction writer in the world got it right and the majority of people who become fans of apocalyptic fiction have no problem believing it.
Because they know, like everyone else, that a huge megalithic, bureaucracy is too big and ponderous to move quickly enough to avoid disaster. Then you add partisan politics to it and the gridlock virtually assures zombie domination.

If no one really expects government to protect them from a zombie apocalypse then why would we expect them to protect us from  Ebola or  Enterovirus D68?
The situation is probably iffy either way but a smaller government with less red tape and a real leader in charge may be able to move quickly enough to prevent a disaster.
But a smaller government with less reach into our lives  appears to be fictional also.

The March to Oblivion

There are all kinds of stories on the internet telling the story of the absolute depravity and cruelty of ISIS in their unimpeded march across Iraq. The slaughter of the Yazidis on mount Sinjar only being the latest.
While liberal/progressives wring their hands and bleat about the Palestinians and beat their chests over the lack of "compassion" for illegal immigrant unaccompanied minors 30,000 to 40,000 Yazidis cling to a mountain facing death if they stay where they are or descend into the hands ISIS to be butchered or sold into slavery.
All we get from this president and his administration is just more incompetence and malfeasance.

We haven't really won a fighting war since WWII and even then we gave up most of eastern Europe at the Malta conference. Korea was fought to a stand still, Kennedy's promise at the Bay of Pigs went unfulfilled and resulted in a slaughter. Johnson and McNamara continued to draft and send men to Vietnam even though they had no desire to win the war. Jimmy Carter sent numerous "strongly worded" messages to the Mullahs of Iran that were promptly laughed at. Obama stands by while Hamas pounds Israel with rockets and ISIS marches through Iraq raping, beheading and killing at will. The one thing in common with all of these is that they're democrats.

Even if our air support comes to help the Kurd s push back against the IS it's to late for history to look kindly on the dithering of Obama and his cronies who failed to try and stop the genocides that the Islamist extremists are committing in Iraq.
Obama's answer to everything, domestic and foreign, is to stand by and do nothing.

Another Example of Government Competence

What's really disturbing about this is this is the same government that wants to be in charge of our health care and be able to sick the IRS on us if we don't comply.

The Selective Service just reminded 14,000 men born between 1893 and 1897 to register for the draft
Are you a man born in Pennsylvania between 1893 and 1897? If so, a government agency may have just reminded you to register for the draft.
The Selective Service System, which keeps a roster of potential men who can be enlisted in the military, inadvertently sent out mailings to more than 14,000 Pennsylvania men born in those years, reminding them to register.~snip~
Also I gotta ask, why is the Selective Service System holding onto 120 year old records?

Here's Your Government Healthcare

You know the government could have just contracted to a private insurance company to take care of our veterans and they would be better off in most cases. Because the idea that they created a government agency to control costs is laughable. No government agency can control their costs.

'Pushed Aside Like an Animal': Vet Dies While Unable to Get Care Through VA
There are alarming new reports this week about how difficult it has become for veterans to receive medical care from VA hospitals. Reports indicated at least 40 veterans died while awaiting appointments at the Phoenix VA Medical Center, prompting calls for an investigation and Senate hearings from the state's two senators, John McCain and Jeff Flake.
A former doctor alleges that senior management kept a secret waiting list in order to conceal the fact that 1,400 to 1,600 sick veterans were forced to wait months to see a doctor. ~snip~
The examples of malfeasance, incompetence and bias of government civil "servants" have been plain to see for decades. Yet people still voted for a second term of Obama so he could begin to implement another government program that will punish the American people with ever rising taxes and declining accountability.

Government Confiscation of S.S. Overpayments Halted "for review"

So last week a story hits about the government seizing taxpayers refunds to satisfy old Social Security payments Payments that were made decades ago.
It seems that there was a line inserted into the farm bill removing the 10 year statute of limitations on debts to the government(as taxpayers we have a whole lot less than 10 years to apply for moneys owed us by the government).
About 400,000 people are on the hook for these old debts, but the good news is that since it's come to light and because of some backlash prompting some politicians to walk back from their previous support for the bill, the Social Security administration has decided to halt the collections pending a "review".

Social Security halts effort to collect old debts
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Social Security Administration is suspending a program in which thousands of people were having their tax refunds seized to recoup overpayments that happened more than a decade ago.
Acting Social Security Commissioner Carolyn W. Colvin said Monday she has directed an immediate halt to the program while the agency does a review.
Social Security recipients and members of Congress complained that people were being forced to repay overpayments that were sometimes paid to their parents or guardians when they were children.
"While this policy of seizing tax refunds to repay decades-old Social Security overpayments might be allowed under the law, it is entirely unjust," Democratic Sens. Senators Barbara Boxer of California and Barbara Mikulski of Maryland said in a letter to Colvin.
After Colvin's announcement, Boxer said in a statement: "I am grateful that the Social Security Administration has chosen not to penalize innocent Americans while the agency determines a fair path forward on how to handle past errors."
The Social Security Administration says it has identified about 400,000 people with old debts. They owe a total of $714 million.~snip~
A "review" doesn't necessarily mean they are going to suspend the program nor is Barbara Boxer or Barbara Mikulski seem to be inclined to call for reinstatement of the 10 year statute of limitations. What is apparently happening is that the government agencies involved are looking for a cooling off period so they can go ahead and move forward with the program with a little less attention.
One thing that seems to be missing is a review as to why the incompetent civil servants managed to overpay to the tune of $714 million. As always it's never the bureaucrats fault and they'll never be held accountable.

Common Sense Not Required

Here's the media's incompetence and malfeasence on full display.

KTVU Apology for Friday Noon report
We made several mistakes when we received this information. First, we never read the names out loud, phonetically sounding them out.
Then, during our phone call to the NTSB where the person confirmed the spellings of the names, we never asked that person to give us their position with the agency.
We heard this person verify the information without questioning who they were and then rushed the names on our noon newscast.
I mean really....wouldn't you think the talking head reading the copy and pronouncing the first name have a light bulb come on and realize they had been had?

First off this is hilarious, second ....I can't believe there are people out there that hang on every word the media spouts off. If this is the kind of stuff we depend on for news then Ho Lee Fuk.

The Obama Administration's Neglect

From Reuter's, I guess pigs do fly.
Obama's been enjoying himself at the taxpayers expense while the middle class shrinks and employment has stagnated since his inauguration.
David Rohde asks what does it say to the youth of Egypt that Obama goes golfing and Kerry suns on his yacht?
It says welcome to the incompetence and neglect America has suffered while Obama and the democrats hold power, not only do they not care about what's happening here but they couldn't care less what is happening in Egypt either.
You've been abandoned by the "leadership" here....welcome to the club.

Lib. Media vs. Keystone Kops

So it seems that all these reporters boarded an Aeroflot plane bound for Cuba and missed Snowden by thiiissss much.....

Search still on for Edward Snowden as Aeroflot plane lands in Cuba without whistleblower on board
Russian reporters on board the flight and foreign press gathered at Havana airport reported no sightings of Snowden or any unusual security.
When the captain of the Aeroflot plane emerged from customs he was surrounded by photographers. He pulled out his own camera, took picture of the photographers and said "No Snowden, no."
Members of the aircraft's crew also told reporters on the plane soon after take-off that Snowden was not on board.
The founder of the WikiLeaks secret-spilling organisation, Julian Assange, earlier insisted that, though he couldn't go into details about where Snowden was, knew said he was safe elsewhere. Snowden has applied for asylum in Ecuador, Iceland and possibly other countries, Assange said. ~snip~
They did get a picture of his empty seat though. Which should rank up there with other journalist gems

such as Barbara Walters riveting question to Katherine Hepburn.
"If you were a tree, what kind would you be?"
There's modern journalism for you.

I'm kind of torn about this, on the one hand I'm not really happy that this guy released classified information and is being used by countries that don't have our, or anybody else's, best interests at heart.
On the other hand it's kind of humorous the way it highlights Obama and his administration's ineptitude and incompetence when it comes to protecting our vital secrets and their ability to bumble diplomacy with other countries.

But, since most of Obama's base hates America and would be delighted to see us embarrassed I can believe that Obama isn't in a real hurry to have Snowden extradited and stand trial.
His commie base would howl like the damned if their hero was prosecuted.

Also the good news about him not making the plane is that we won't be subjected to the presses puffy fluffer pieces on what a great guy Snowden is.
Personally I think he should be brought back and face the consequences for his actions.
Lets face it, if his motivations were as altruistic as every left wing slobbering idiot claims then he would have stayed here and defended his actions.

BTW, the liberal/commie Obama media makes the Keystone Kops look competent in comparison.
At least they can find who they're looking for.

Liberal Media FINALLY asks the Tough Questions

Eric Holder on the hot seat for "Fast and Furious"!!!
Nah just kidding.
Hillary Clinton pinned to the wall over Benghazi, pshaw, I mean "what difference does it make".

I'm watching the ABC evening news and you know what they led with?
Paula Deen and remarks she made in a deposition she gave that was vetted by....wait for it.... the National Enquirer. Cause apparently this is who the national media now turn to for their hard hitting news stories.
Who can blame them though, the New York Times has proven over and over again that it's nothing more than a partisan rag.

This story was so compelling that "real journalists" Matt Lauer and Al Roker fell all over themselves to try and book her live on the Today Show so they could show her groveling on live TV to apologize.
Ya know like they did with Exalted Cyclops Robert Byrd.
Or the way they humiliated Lois Lerner of the IRS after she plead the 5th during congressional hearings.
Oh wait, that never happened.......because ABC didn't read about Lerner or Byrd in the National Enquirer, that's where the real news is cause we ain't getting it from ABC.
Instead all they got was a video posted on YouTube.

I hope nobody's wondering why this administration isn't being held accountable for it's incompetence because to me it's pretty obvious.

Crowley Carrying Water for Obama Again

Seriously?
Candy Crowley is actually trying to put out an excuse of innocence for the IRS's deliberate targeting of groups opposed to the democrats progressive agenda?

When I got out of the service in the mid 70's the civil service had a program that they would hire veterans while they were attending school. I got a minor position at one and let me tell you it was an eye opener. Civil servants don't do squat unless it's authorized by someone above their pay grade.
It's not exactly the kind of career that encourages a lot of independent or original thinking.
Even the ones who finally approve something don't do it without the official okey-dokey of their supervisors.
The idea that it was just a few "rogue" employees is laughable. Even then liberals made up over 90% of government employees in that one agency.

I remember that they were dumbfounded when Jimmy Carter was kicked to the curb, that's how clueless those idiots were.
Handing over Obamacare to agencies that promote incompetents as opposed to firing them is a disaster waiting to happen.

Outrage over IRS's Unchecked Power

Rep. Mike Kelly gives the IRS a piece of Americans minds during Ways and Means committee hearings.

Funny how the IRS doesn't tolerate taxpayer errors at all but tries to invoke lame excuses for their own dereliction and malfeasance.
Again it has to be emphasized that this is the agency that will be responsible for enforcing Obamacare and will extend their tentacles into every aspect of our lives.

Finally....to the Masses!!!!!

Jon Stewart can't help noticing the ineptness and incompetence of this administration.

This is a big deal.
Now even low information voters can't ignore the scandals sweeping through Washington.

Death by a Thousand Cuts

I read about a lot of crap that really just ticks me off to no end, so much so that sometimes I need to back away from the news feeds and do a little computer solitaire or something to clear my mind.
The stupid just becomes too painful to endure.

Take, for instance, the apparently successful media blackout of the Kermit Gosnell trial.

Good job liberal media, you're successfully covering for a mass murderer to advance your agenda of enabling more mass murder in the future. That's why people roll their eyes whenever you claim you care about the children.

Speaking of incompetent boobs, how about the judge who ordered Massachusetts to provide a sex change operation for a convicted murderer serving life in prison.

A pretty good rundown of this dirtbags crime can be read here.

Robert Kosilek: Rewarding the Man Who Murdered His Wife With a Free Sex Change Operation

First off lets just get away from the LGBT thing and consider for a moment that the guy/girl is serving life for murder, he/she committed a heinous crime against a person and society resulting in him being convicted for first degree murder. Common sense says the guy/gal pretty much abdicated his/her "rights" by depriving another of theirs.
He/she lost his/her freedom, can't vote, can't own a firearm and is told when to get up, when to eat, when to go to bed get a job buy a car and on and on.
But there is nothing cruel or unusual about getting a bed, three meals a day, shelter and not having to worry about going into debt or paying bills.....for the rest of his/her life.
All in all I'd say he/she should consider it all a wash.

If he/she hadn't committed the crime he/she was convicted of then he/she would be free to mutilate his/her body at his/her leisure.
But since he/she is a convicted murderer his/her right to do to himself/herself what he/she pleases should be restricted to reflect the idea that he/she is being punished for depriving another human being of their life.

This should be a no brainer, he/she got himself/herself into the position he/she is in and should be made to live in it.
That's what individuals risk when they commit these kinds of acts. They lose the right to determine their own future.
That is something he/she took from his wife and it's only fair that he/she suffer the same fate.

Owning it

This is hilarious, wonder how many of these people thought it was a good idea to give Obama another term in office?

Angry New Yorkers say Obama pledge to cut red tape ignored by FEMA

Storm-ravaged New Yorkers say President Obama’s promise to cut red tape and get them aid in the aftermath of Sandy has proven to be hot air.
Angry citizens vented at FEMA officials at a town hall meeting held by the disaster relief agency Thursday, with tempers boiling over. Some 1,000 people, many left homeless by the Oct. 29 storm, attended the meeting at Staten Island’s New Dorp High School. They were initially scheduled to submit written questions that would be picked and answered at random, but the session turned into an angry shouting match where residents booed FEMA officials and accused them of lying.
“We are the people – we are the middle class, and we are getting the finger,” said frustrated resident Scott McGrath, who personally spoke to President Obama and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo when they came to Staten Island to inspect storm damage earlier this month. “You were there when I met Obama, and I told the president … that the middle class was getting the royal finger. And he said, ‘FEMA works for me.’”
No one can point me to any real accomplishment this failed president has had in his entire career and yet these people actually believed he was on top of their problems?
This is the same way Obama wants to handle our healthcare, the way Obama has handled our economy, foreign policy and deficit and they really believed him when he said he would handle this disaster?
All the people in this country have been getting Obama's middle finger....welcome to the club.

All of you who voted for the mediocre in chief, you own it.

Federal Boxing Commission?...Seriously?

As if you needed more proof that these guys are waste of space.

Is this the best Reid and McCain can do -- regulate boxing?
If we did not know better, the announcement from Washington that two senior Senators are proposing the creation of a national commission to regulate boxing would be dismissed as a cruel joke. But this is no joke, and Senators Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) are serious. They seem to believe the recent controversy over a judges’ decision in the Bradley-Pacquiao fight in Las Vegas awarding victory to Bradley warrants this recondite unlimbering of the heavy artillery of federal authority. Of course there is not much going on these days in our Government and so these two lawmakers have time on their hands.
It's almost like these guys just refuse to get it,.
As annoying as it is for me to keep harping on the many problems we face in our economy, employment, immigration and expansion of the nanny state, the truth is that these clowns we keep sending to Washington remain tone deaf to them.
Is there nothing that politicians don't want to put their grubby little fingers in?
Also how long are we as a people going to tolerate the RINO's and progressives in government insulting our intelligence by trying to distract us from their incompetence?
