Progressives have nothing left to offer

So I'm on facebook reading all the threads about Kathy Griffin and her "press conference" today where she starts blaming others for her misfortune. (the whole sordid thing is at the link above)
Pretty much the consensus is that she brought it on herself and disbelief that she is trying to find blame elsewhere.
Which seems to be a popular thing to do what with Hillary pinning the blame for her loss on everyone but.

Anyway I digress.

A few misguided but brave souls appeared in the threads and proceeded to try and defend Griffin by using the Ted Nugent equivalency.

Well I pointed out that most normal people don't depend on Ted Nugent to shape their political views but progressives slobber uncontrollably over the wisdom spewed by comedians and that is the difference.

The response was a diatribe of insults about me where I lived and what sex acts I wanted to perform with the Donald.
The last took me by surprise cause I thought progressives were cool with gay sex. I guess they are unless they can use it as an insult.

Anyway it occurred to me that progressives aren't even trying to make a persuasive argument anymore. When Trump won the election it's like something just completely snapped.
Now all we get is name calling, beheading photos and gay slurs.

It's like they think if they keep sputtering and screaming and pulling their hair out that the whole country will change it's mind, throw Trump out and inaugurate Hillary making things all right in the world.
Kind of childish huh?

I honestly don't see how this could work, not for 2018 and not for 2020, As time goes on the loci of this behaviour will get smaller and smaller just out of pure exhaustion with the hate and despair.

Progressives are finally committing suicide of their cause and this could be a good thing. Common sense may again prevail.

Mostly because she appeals to a lot of conservatives and they just can't stand that.

Makes me think that if the GOP had any brains they'd run her as a primary candidate mostly because the lapdog media would fixate on her over every other candidate. The coverage of anyone else would pale in comparison to the left wings rush to see who can be the most clever when it comes to demonizing someone who they believe wouldn't have a chance because they've already proven what a "loser" she is.

Even democrats wouldn't measure up to all the press Palin would get.
It could possibly make the media irrelevant in the next election cycle and give people an opportunity to to hear from other candidates without all the noise the leftist media spews.

Yet to look around the USA is to see fear and anxiety. If you didn't know better, you'd think this was a nation of wimps.~snip~

Self awareness don't exist for the biased media seeing as how they're the purveyors of rampant wussification.
I got to give them the Ebola thing though I mean the nation as whole was a little nervous about that but only because it was the government assuring us that,"they had it under control".
Who can blame us?
Everyone knows that pretty much all government agencies are run by leftist/progressive "social justice"warriors and have already shown their incompetence by misplacing dangerous viruses.
Not exactly the way to inspire confidence.

Then there is the question of universities and their "fear" of offending someone.
Universities are cesspools of liberal/progressive ism so it shouldn't be any surprise that they're no free speech zones. Progressive/liberals are the ones that are afraid of free speech on universities, not the nation.

Then there's the folding like a cheap suit Sony did after their servers were hacked and someone spilled the beans on what racist gossiping little people that Hollywood liberals really are.
They're not even sure that the North Koreans were involved so all the noise about "the Interview" basically hyped a crappy movie that most likely would have flopped without it.
Also for the record the nation wasn't a wussy about it, most people wanted it released.
It was the liberal infested studio that tried to cancel it because...who knows.

That's the only thing I could think about as I read this article by some historically clueless hack at The Daily Beast who is totally butt hurt by the trouncing that the dems suffered in the south.

I guess it doesn't occur to him that he's a little late because Dixie pretty much dumped the democrats.

It's kind of funny because the democrat party held the south for decades because liberal/democrat/progressives were racist. At least that is who they pandered to during the 60's and 70's to hold power in the south.
As long as southern constituents bought into the segregationist policies of Orval Faubus (D) and George Wallace (D) the democrats had no problem with racism as long as they could hold power in the south.

As much as the democrats deny it in this century the south has moved away from the racism that is  encouraged by the democrats and have started to move beyond the racism of liberals seeing them for the party of division that they really are.

The democrat parties only platform anymore seems to be constantly trying to divide everyone by race,sex,sexual preferences and income and people all across the nation, including the south, are getting wise to their tactics and rejecting the party of division.

So go right ahead progressives and dump everyone who's gotten wise to your politics of division.

When We All Become Criminals

The whole Eric Gardner episode is an illustration of the heavy handedness of political power, Somehow we have gotten away from the idea that in a truly free society government interferes in the life of its citizens as little as possible thereby creating a situation where just about anyone can be arrested.

On the opening day of law school, I always counsel my first-year students never to support a law they are not willing to kill to enforce. Usually they greet this advice with something between skepticism and puzzlement, until I remind them that the police go armed to enforce the will of the state, and if you resist, they might kill you.
I wish this caution were only theoretical. It isn’t. Whatever your view on the refusal of a New York City grand jury to indict the police officer whose chokehold apparently led to the death of Eric Garner, it’s useful to remember the crime that Garner is alleged to have committed: He was selling individual cigarettes, or loosies, in violation of New York law.
The obvious racial dynamics of the case -- the police officer, Daniel Pantaleo, is white; Garner was black -- have sparked understandable outrage. But, at least among libertarians, so has the law that was being enforced. Wrote Nick Gillespie in the Daily Beast, “Clearly something has gone horribly wrong when a man lies dead after being confronted for selling cigarettes to willing buyers.” Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, appearing on MSNBC, also blamed the statute: “Some politician put a tax of $5.85 on a pack of cigarettes, so they’ve driven cigarettes underground by making them so expensive.”~snip~

The reality is that this actually goes way beyond cigarettes and black markets, what it's really about is just how much are we going to allow government to criminalize our activities.
For instance people should wear a seat belt because it's a good idea but a lot of states have mandatory seat belt laws that impose a fine if you or your passengers are caught not wearing one.
While not an arrest-able offense ignoring or not paying the fine is.
Warrants are issued for over due fines all the time and if you are confronted by a police officer then you are subject to arrest...by force if necessary. The reality is that government really requires you to wear a seat belt and if you don't pay a fine then they will potentially use force.
Is that an appropriate use of force by police? Over not wearing a seat belt?
Because that is really what instigated a potentially violent arrest.
Cigarettes or seat belts the question is do we really want to put citizens and police in these kinds of situations?
If they are it's not the cops fault but the politicians who pass ill considered laws in order to pander to specific groups.

Then there's the tyranny of the government using laws and regulations to target groups and individuals due to their political beliefs. Like the IRS did to conservative groups.
I've had the IRS pursue me for owing around $600.00, I'm politically conservative. Al Sharpton, liberal/democrat/race pimp, owes 4 million dollars and as far as I know still owes.

As Ann Coulter said, do not stand between a liberal and his taxes" that was Eric Gardner's mistake and the truth is it could happen to anyone.

The Unhappiness that divides us all

I ran across this article on Front Page Magazine today and found a lot of great points.

If the left sees anyone being happy, it must immediately set out to ruin the fun. Like most utopians, they plan for a utopia that they could never actually live in.

The only quibble I have with it is it seems the author kind of chalks up the lefts unhappiness and hatred for anything hinting at satisfaction to be more of a character flaw or hiccup in the leftist personality.
Most likely there are those but I believe it to be deeper and of a more insidious nature.
The quest for power, unadulterated and unchallenged raw power to bend society to their will.

At one time even democrats did things to unite us, like during WWII Roosevelt and Truman united the country to win the war. Even JFK, as flawed as he was, united the country to go to the moon by appealing to the "can do" attitudes and educational, industrial know how of Americans.
Most Americans felt fairly good about their lot in life until Jimmy Carter.
After 4 years of the peanut farmer people got pretty fed up and elected Ronald Reagan and that's when the the liberals switched to grievance and the whining started.
Liberals found that by dividing us by sex, race ,religion income and finding or making up things to be aggrieved about galvanized certain sectors of the population.
That gave us Billy "BJ" Clinton who kind of got serious about things in his second term.
Liberal grievance wasn't enough to give us Al Gore but we still ended up with a "kinder,gentler" republican in GWB.

With Obama the liberal/democrats are in full divider mode and that's where we find ourselves now.
A nation divided by professionals who hope to keep that simmering pot they've stirred hot.
It's all a manipulation and too many people keep falling for it.

Biased Propaganda at PBS

In another example of clear leftist/progressive bias in the media and one we as taxpayers actually pay for, PBS s going to air a propaganda piece called "After Tiller".

Brown says “After Tiller” was funded in large part by pro-abortion groups and lists Planned Parenthood and NARAL as primary outreach partners.
According to Media Impact Partners, the film’s production team’s goals include changing the view of Americans in favor of late-term abortion providers and against legislation that bans late-term abortions. The filmmakers also hope that medical students will request abortion training be made available in their curricula.

There's some "hard hitting" truth tellers right there.
PBS, along with all the other liberal/commie/progressive so called "news media" seems to forget that Kermit Gosnell is also "After Tiler" and he too preformed late term abortions. Some how I don't think that fact will make it into the documentary.
I guess it would be a little tough to humanize the butcher of Philadelphia but there's no doubt in my mind that if Planned Parenthood or NARAL could then they would have.
This how PBS uses our tax dollars and it's way past time the government defund this obvious propaganda tool of the leftist/progressive media.
Ending support of the alphabet channels is as simple as turning them off, being forced to subsidize left wing talking points by government is unacceptable.

Free Tampons Cause.....Feminism!!!

Years ago I read Alan Sherman's book "the Rape of the A*P*E" and in it he related the story of sanitary napkins.
In the book he said that nurses from WWII had used absorbent bandages that were originally designed for wounds and later on after the war a few companies offered a version designed and made specifically for women to use.
However because of the social stigma they didn't sell very well until businesses started displaying them just about everywhere. Then they took off.

Any way that's the way I remember the story from the book.
But there is no stigma any more.

I would suppose that this is just the natural progression from government subsidized birth control and abortion on demand.
It's kind of a creepy pattern if you think about it, the argument of cost and necessity being the qualifier for free access can extend to many things.This is modern feminism and by extension progressivism/liberalism.
Anything deemed necessary provided by the state.
At one time when we had a thriving and robust economy these kinds of issues were never even conceived of but now, in this era of liberal/progressive policies and Obamanomics the search for ever expanding entitlements pushes forward.
It would be kind of fitting though, if Obama actually moved forward on this he would could finally be called the "tampon president" adding another name to his growing shameful legacy. Now that there isn't any stigma attached to it anymore.

The March to Oblivion

There are all kinds of stories on the internet telling the story of the absolute depravity and cruelty of ISIS in their unimpeded march across Iraq. The slaughter of the Yazidis on mount Sinjar only being the latest.
While liberal/progressives wring their hands and bleat about the Palestinians and beat their chests over the lack of "compassion" for illegal immigrant unaccompanied minors 30,000 to 40,000 Yazidis cling to a mountain facing death if they stay where they are or descend into the hands ISIS to be butchered or sold into slavery.
All we get from this president and his administration is just more incompetence and malfeasance.

We haven't really won a fighting war since WWII and even then we gave up most of eastern Europe at the Malta conference. Korea was fought to a stand still, Kennedy's promise at the Bay of Pigs went unfulfilled and resulted in a slaughter. Johnson and McNamara continued to draft and send men to Vietnam even though they had no desire to win the war. Jimmy Carter sent numerous "strongly worded" messages to the Mullahs of Iran that were promptly laughed at. Obama stands by while Hamas pounds Israel with rockets and ISIS marches through Iraq raping, beheading and killing at will. The one thing in common with all of these is that they're democrats.

Even if our air support comes to help the Kurd s push back against the IS it's to late for history to look kindly on the dithering of Obama and his cronies who failed to try and stop the genocides that the Islamist extremists are committing in Iraq.
Obama's answer to everything, domestic and foreign, is to stand by and do nothing.

Ebola: First case coming to America

She deftly points out the failures of the CDC and other agencies who were/are in charge of other infectious diseases that were apparently in their lost and found departments.
Mostly lost and just recently found. Feeling safer about Ebola yet?

I feel bad for these people and hope they can be helped but it would have been just as easy to send medicines, equipment and personnel to West Africa than to bring a virus that doesn't exist on this continent here.

But then again what do you expect from a government that allows tens of thousands of children into our country with various contagious health issues and then scatters them across the country?

As in everything liberal/progressives do there is rarely any consideration to the long term effects of their knee jerk reactions when considering sympathy or compassion.

But then again you have to put on the tinfoil hat and wonder if this is the their diabolical end game, to reduce the United States to a third world shithole.

Sarah Palin,still rent free after all these years

It never fails, if you want to send liberal/progressives into fits of slobbering incoherent rage all you got to do is mention Sarah Palin.
All the buzz words come out, irrelevant, quitter, dumb, caribou Barbie and lots and lots of 4 letter words interspersed with drool and slobbering down their chins.

For someone so irrelevant and out of touch she sure causes a lot of left wing angst.

So it's no surprise that when she starts a news site the knives come out long and sharp.

The Sarah Palin Channel launched Sunday, asking prospective viewers for $9.95 per month–96 cents more than Netflix–or $99.95 a year. (No word on whether subscribers get money back if Palin decides to stick with the project for only half of that term.) The cost is the same as GBTV, the web-TV channel run by Glenn Beck, a role model for wealthy media figures who hope to monetize the cult of personality they've built up by expertly playing to the cultural affinities and anxieties of Red America.~snip~

I think what really pisses them off is that they'll have to fork over the monthly $9.95 fee to see what "Sarah says" and what "Sarah wears" so they breathlessly report it to the rabid left wing base. Gotta keep the vitriol level up.
Lets face it, the free model out there for news hasn't worked out very well for America seeing as how all major news outlets have been infested with progressive/commies so maybe a lot of folks will be willing to pay for the opportunity to get their news with out the pinko tinge that emanates from left wing news rooms. They can't have that because they won't be able to control the narrative.

I haven't decided if I'll pony up the $9.95 a month yet but I'm sure they won't miss it, there are plenty of people out there who will. How successful it is will send a message to the left wing megaliths that think they can control what news people want to see or hear and that is what truly scares them and sends them in paroxysms of rage.

Denying the Consequences

Report: SMALL LIFELESS, DEAD CHILDREN Found “Washed Up Along Riverbank” of Rio Grande

“The life jackets helped many make it across the Rio Grande from Reynosa, the Mexican city across the water from Mission, just west of McAllen. Sources say they come over on rafts ferried by the so-called “coyotes,” the human smugglers whose means of transport are rendered useless whenever discovered by the Border Patrol. Many don’t make it across the river; multiple sources became emotional when recounting their discoveries of small, lifeless bodies washed up along the riverbank.”

The flood of illegal immigrant children to our borders can be directly connected to the Obama administrations lackadaisical enforcement of our immigration laws. While they are all wringing their hands and squealing about how we have to be compassionate they ignore the ever increasing body count of the unaccompanied minors who are dying in their rush to get here.
What we are seeing now is just the ones we find within our borders. There's no telling how many have expired on the other side and liberal/progressives don't want to know.
The reason is that all the dead children can be laid at the feet of of this administration. Their contempt for the rule of law and the encouragement of the open borders zealots contributes to these deaths as much as the heat, drownings, or abuse by smugglers.
It just goes to show once again that liberal/progressives are neither caring nor compassionate to others.
If they were they would care about the body count and finding a way to stop it.
    

What liberals ignore 'about the children' and immigration

When it comes to the flood of illegal immigrant children coming across the border and overwhelming the agencies trying to help them there is an abundance of hand wringing and demands for compassion.
 There's not a lot of that when it comes to the rising death toll that occurs when people who are ill equipped or weakened by disease expire in the heat of the desert.

BAYLOR PROFESSOR IDENTIFIES BODIES OF ILLEGALS WHO DIE CROSSING BORDER

For the last two years, Professor Lori Baker of Baylor University has been lending her expertise to helping identify the bodies of those who tried and failed to sneak into our country through the forbidden landscape at our southern border.
But this year, she is seeing something different. Professor Baker told Waco's KXXV TV that they have been seeing the bodies of children more often this year. "I think it's something right now where we're in a crisis," Baker told the TV news. "Now with the number of immigrants coming and the number of children, it's a disastrous situation."
The job is a complicated and often fruitless one, as the professor and her students have to work with multiple agencies in multiple countries. These multiple languages, various bureaucracies, and sometimes even distrust between nations complicate her job.~snip~

I really haven't seen a whole of reporting on the senseless loss of life that occurs because of the constant open border advocacy by liberal/progressives, Obama and the democrats. Republicans aren't blameless either but democrats can minimize this loss of life by closing the borders and to stop encouraging illegals, especially children, to make the journey in the hopes of fading away into the country.
There just doesn't seem to be the same level of compassion from liberal/progressives for the children who die and their bodies are left alone in the desert to be picked apart by scavengers.
This hypocrisy shouldn't be much of a surprise. Anyone who's been paying attention knows that liberal/progressives care about no one. Not gays,not minorities, not women and certainly not children.
All they care about is advancing their agenda, which is to turn the United States into their twisted version of socialist nanny state.

When Liberals Attack part II

This has been making the rounds on the internet since at least yesterday. I caught it on Twitchy again today and it pretty much sums up why there can be no discussion with liberal/progressives.

Notice that along with the crude language and violent out bursts every single leftist/progressive talking point is uttered.

While the likelihood of calm reasoned opinions wouldn't persuade either side there is no attempt by the seemingly Burger King employee to calmly state her position and then move on.

It's just simply outrage,violence and profanities.

Yet the leftist/progressives are constantly on the search for "conservative" or "Tea Party" domestic terrorists.

If they want to find domestic terrorists then they need to focus their magnifying glass on their own side.

They may have better success.   

When Liberals Attack

I'm not a big fan of O'Reilly but I watched this segment he did with Kirsten Powers where he pretty much called out liberals for their faux concern for child illegals crossing the border unaccompanied.
Making the trek from central America is a long and arduous journey fraught with dangers.
Sexual exploitation and the very real possibility of death exists for them.

 I would think that if liberal/progressives were really so concerned about these children that they would be horrified by the dangers they are exposed to when making this kind of journey.
If they really cared so much it would seem to me that they would be lobbying Obama for medical and food aide to be sent to these children in their countries of origin as opposed to cheerleading them into making a hazardous dash to our border.
If they really cared about the children then they would be more interested in what's best for them as opposed to trying to cover Obama's ass for being a do nothing president.

Liberal Outrage of the Day

Like since when aren't liberals outraged.

There is not one criticism of Obama that isn't decried as "racist" by the party of perpetual outrage. That seems to be their go to accusation whenever anyone doesn't fall to their knees and worship the Obamessiah.

According to the Omaha World Herald and the Lincoln Journal Star, many Norfolk residents were upset by the float, with some decrying the display as a racist attack on the president.
“I’m angry and I’m scared,” Glory Kathurima, a Norfolk resident who is originally from Kenya, told the Journal Star. “This float was not just political; this was absolutely a racial statement.”
Kathurima says she wrote to the town's mayor as well as the Chamber of Commerce expressing her concerns with the float.
State party officials offered similar criticism.
“We have seen many times when Nebraskans disapproved of the President, but this clearly crosses the line.” Nebraska Democratic Party executive director Dan Marvin said in a Saturday statement. “There is a level of respect for the office of the Presidency which should not be crossed. It's beyond disappointing the City of Norfolk, it’s officials, and citizens would allow such a thing.”~snip~

Nothing like a little over the top hyperbole to get the outrage started by suggesting that the float invokes fear. But then again that's how liberal/commie/progressive roll.

The Liberal Media's Lies and Omissions

A lot of people believe that the despicable way the liberal/commie media distorts the news for their purposes is a relatively new thing. It's not, they have been doing it for at least as long as I've been alive and I remember the late 60's and early 70's and the way the Vietnam war and the troops were portrayed.

The biased progressive /liberal media picks and chooses the stories they report on nationally in order to deceive people into believing their side of a story. Like the near deification of Obama or a war on woman, support for gay marriage, rampant racism, class envy,illegal immigration. If their position can be distorted and presented as truth they will do it.
Unfortunately too many Americans, until recently, only had limited resources to find the truth.
Now with the internet and it's multitude of alternative news sources it's possible for people to see the lies and distortions of the biased media, they no longer have a monopoly.
Hopefully that will be enough to embarrass the media into becoming an unbiased source and not the propaganda arm of the democrat party.
Or they'll be relegated to the status of super market tabloids....where they belong.

Just a July 4th Reminder

Since the recent rise of the democrat party and their liberal/commie hangers on it's been a little hard to remember that the United States celebrates their independence on the fourth of July.

We've have been slowly losing our independence to "diversity" and "social justice" for a few years but, unlike some Americans, I believe there are still enough true patriots out there to turn things around and get us back to true independence.
Independence from an over reaching and oppressive government to allow us to live our lives without the heavy hand of progressive liberal/communists interfering in our lives.
