Kathy Griffin, just another media whore

Whelp now that the well deserved cycle of "artistic" defiance, desperate justification, then boot-licking apology  has elapsed over the last 24 hours for Kathy Griffin we can reflect on the true reasons the whole episode transpired.

Griffin, like all desperate celebrities, is really just a simple media whore.
It was all about getting attention by latching onto the new "trendy" activity among leftists which is "the resistance". The goal wasn't art or comedy or to even make a political statement the goal was to receive accolades from the liberal media to get publicity for being "edgy".

But the truth is if she, or any number of has beens, could gain an advantage by being seen with Trump they wouldn't hesitate.

Partisanship never gets in the way of the bottom line for these folks, she took a shot and it shot back. People need to realize that those in the media and those who try to use the media are not on anyone's "side" except their own and they will use and manipulate each other for their own ends.

So don't expect this kind of foolishness to end.

Dissent Will not be Tolerated

What's interesting about this to me is just how far back will the mob go to demonize their opponents? This brouhaha was over a donation made in 2008. Paula Deen was excoriated for something she said over 20 years ago.
What commonly held opinions and attitudes that are held now will become fodder 10 to 20 years from now that will be used to ruin the lives of our children or grandchildren?
No matter how you feel about the issue of same sex marriage the kind of tactics used by the brown shirts of the pink mafia enabled by a lick-spittle ravenous media needs to suffer a backlash.

Christian? Your Money is no Good

So...what has to be so broken in our society that a donation from a Christian church isn't welcome?

Church Says Wounded Warrior Project Refused Their Money

A Christian church and school in Florida are devastated after they said Wounded Warrior Project refused to accept their fund raising effort because it was “religious in nature.”
“We were heartbroken,” said Wallace Cooley, pastor of Liberty Baptist Church and Academy in Fort Pierce, Fla.
Cooley said they had already paid a $100 registration fee to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project and were about to launch the campaign when they received an email from the organization.
The church had planned on taking up a special offering on the last Sunday in February and students were collecting money from family and friends.
“We must decline the opportunity to be the beneficiary of your event due to our fundraising event criteria, which doesn’t allow community events to be religious in nature,” read an email from the WWP community events team. “Please note your registration fee will be refunded within the next 7-10 business days.”~snip~
Is WWP concerned that if they accept donations from a group of Christians that the tightfisted  scrooges of the left and their useful idiot atheists won't contribute funds to their charity. Cause we all know how much progressives and atheists care about those in the military. Because that's what they are known for, their charitable works with the poor and downtrodden.

OK I'm done laughing now.
Charitable giving is what Christians do.......I mean how many soup kitchens are created and run by atheists? How many homeless shelters are established and run on donations by progressives?
Come on WWP, the backlash you have to worry about is not from atheists and liberal democrats cause they don't give a shit about wounded warriors, the back lash will come from those you humiliate when they try and help.
There's plenty of other charities out there that will happily take their money to help wounded veterans.

Persistence in the Face of Defeat

You'd think that after the massive support of Chick-fil-a   on Aug. 1 there would be a re-evaluation of how the gay marriage supporters present themselves to the rest of the country.

Chick-fil-A Touts Record Profits
Following the intense backlash fast-food chain Chick-fil-A received when its president publicly took a stance against gay marriage, supporters of "traditional marriage"—and fried-chicken sandwiches—spoke with their dollars.
But no, they start immediately looking for someone else to intimidate.

Petitions want Berenstain Bears out of Chick-fil-A campaign

PHILADELPHIA –  The publisher of the Berenstain Bears children's books is being urged to cut ties with Chick-fil-A because of its president's statements opposing gay marriage.
Three organizations said Wednesday they delivered petitions with 80,000 signatures to HarperCollins. The petitions demand the New York-based publishing house end the Berenstain Bears' affiliation with the national fast-food chain and say the beloved bears teach the importance of standing against bigotry.
The petitions urge HarperCollins to follow the lead of the Jim Henson Co., which pulled its Muppet toys from Chick-fil-A kids' meals. A similar campaign with Berenstain Bears is slated for this month.
Ya know...people are free to spend or not spend their money on what they please.  But it seems odd to me that groups who attempt to "shame" businesses and customers into not supporting someone for their beliefs would continue to do so after getting soundly rebuked for their efforts.
This really doesn't seem to be the best way to persuade others to a particular position.
Maybe after the backlash becomes more intense these groups will re-think labeling people with different views as "haters" and "bigots".

I kind of doubt it though.
