Obama's Assassination of the Middle Class

So basically Obama gives his major speech on his "pivot" on jobs and resurrecting the middle class and it ends up being the same old, same old.

You know it's gotta be a stinker when even the liberal/commie Yahoo news posts an article telling Obama there ain't much he can do about it.
Even though the article tries to blame the republican congress the majority of commentators ain't buying it.

There's lots that Obama can do about the employment situation and they won't cost taxpayers a dime.
For one thing he can repeal the god awful Obamacare legislation, I mean the problems with that are to numerous to mention but it is a major impediment.
Lowering tax rates on businesses and scaling back on the EPA and loosening environmental obstacles that prevent us from building more refineries for gasoline and all the other products that come from crude oil would be a start.
But see, fighting for the middle class is not on the agenda for Obama and his liberal/commie administration.
Sucking up to left wing special interests groups is.
That's why we now have so many Americans leaving the labor force and why food stamp participation is so high.

If Obama really wants to help the middle class then all he has to do is get out of the way the free enterprise system will do the rest.

Marijuana Goes Mainstream

I'll admit that when I was a very young man I used pot and unlike Bill Clinton I actually inhaled.
Back when you could buy a "nickel" and an ounce cost $10.00.
Smoking pot back then was sort of a revolutionary act a way to stick it to the "man" and throw off the oppression of the government and uptight squares.
Plus I kind of liked getting high.

That was back in the day when love was free, more women where becoming single moms, started exploring food stamps and welfare and divorce became "no fault".

Hardly good social changes.

I'm not saying smoking pot caused these changes but I do know that it can rob people of their ambitions.
I can't tell you the number of times I've sat around listening to people at the time get high and then lay out their entire lifes plan then instead of acting on it all they did the next day was get high again.

But then again that's what being an American is all about, as John Kerry said we do have a right to be stupid.

So it's no surprise that a majority of Americans would poll to support legalizing pot.

Majority Now Supports Legalizing Marijuana
For the first time in more than four decades of polling on the issue, a majority of Americans favor legalizing the use of marijuana. A national survey finds that 52% say that the use of marijuana should be made legal while 45% say it should not.
Support for legalizing marijuana has risen 11 points since 2010. The change is even more dramatic since the late 1960s. A 1969 Gallup survey found that just 12% favored legalizing marijuana use, while 84% were opposed.

Yup, that's right, something that used to be a revolutionary act is going mainstream with the public and you know if it ever does get legalized the federal and state governments are going to tax the shit out of it.
As a matter of fact a lot of them are salivating at the prospect of another revenue stream. The very same governments who have been been crappy stewards of our money as it is.
Because they have been so bad at it before they need new ways to raise taxes so they can piss away even more. Pot will be perfect for them for the simple fact that it will be considered a vice like alcohol or cigarettes so the tax potential will be unlimited.

When pot becomes legal it'll be the governments opportunity to stick it to the users again.
Counter culture going full circle, how ironic will that be?

Obama Won't Fight For Gay Marriage His Second Term

Barack Obama isn’t exactly famous for his loyalty; he has a history of jettisoning people once they’ve outlived their usefulness to him. This time, it’s the gay community.
On Friday, Obama told an MTV audience that he would not fight for gay marriage his second term, intoning that “it would be up to future generations of Americans to implement meaningful reform.”
Here’s the kicker; realizing that some states are now endorsing gay marriage, Obama suddenly became a champion of states’ rights, asserting, “For us to try to legislate federally into this area is probably the wrong way to go.”
Also for those who voted Obama because they were worried that their food stamps would get cut if Romney won, well.....worry no more.

Ohioans’ food stamp aid to be reduced

Ohio families receiving food stamps could get an unwelcome surprise come January: $50 less every month in assistance.
For the 869,000 households enrolled in the program for the poorest Ohioans, that could amount to about $520 million annually out of the grocery budgets.
Because of the way the federal government calculates utility expenses for people receiving the benefit, a mild winter nationwide last year, and a lower price for natural gas, many families could experience a significant cut in aid, those familiar with the program say.
Recipients should get a letter from the state Department of Job and Family Services this month explaining the change, said Ben Johnson, a spokesman for the agency.
Meanwhile, food banks and others that distribute food assistance are bracing for increased demand.
Obama's well on his way to "fundamentally" change America, and he'll throw anyone under the bus to do it.

Careful What You Wish For

A lot of voters bought into the "hope and change" offered by Obama and the lick-spittle liberal media in 2007-2008.

Now them chickens have come home to roost.

The Hill Poll: Majority of voters believe Obama has changed country for worse

Two-thirds of likely voters say President Obama has kept his 2008 campaign promise to change America — but it’s changed for the worse, according to a sizable majority.
A new poll for The Hill found 56 percent of likely voters believe Obama’s first term has transformed the nation in a negative way, compared to 35 percent who believe the country has changed for the better under his leadership.
The results signal broad voter unease with the direction the nation has taken under Obama’s leadership and present a major challenge for the incumbent Democrat as he seeks reelection this fall.
Conducted for The Hill by Pulse Opinion Research, the poll comes in the wake of last month’s Supreme Court decision that upheld the primary elements of Obama’s signature healthcare legislation.
Life has taken a fundamental change for a large segment of America since hope and change has arrived. Employment is stagnant, the number of people on food stamps continues to rise. The national debt has sky rocketed and a large portion of the population has dropped out of the workforce.

Some "change" huh?

Subservience OK as Long as You Don't Flaunt It

I don't think anything could be more symbolic of the current administration than this.

Adidas cancels new 'shackle' sneaker after sharp criticism

Adidas is canceling plans for a sneaker with a shackle-like ankle cuff that some critics say too closely resembles a symbol of slavery.
The company announced Monday that it would withdraw the JS Roundhouse Mid, made in collaboration with fashion designer Jeremy Scott.
The sneaker was supposed to be a reboot of a classic high-top sneaker with a strap across the middle. A preview was offered months ago and generated little chatter, but the company recently started promoting it on its Facebook page.
Many users left comments on the page’s bulletin board ripping the day-glo orange shackles, saying they are particularly offensive to African-Americans because they evoke imagery of slavery and prisoners on the chain gang.
So it's OK to reduce a families net worth by 35% or greater and to make more people reliant on food stamps than any time before in our history. Take over and dictate how our health care is administered and how big a soda we can buy?
But it's inappropriate to sell a shoe with a chain and shackle?
These shoes should be standard issue for every American alive to symbolize the enslavement of the people to a progressive, socialist, nanny state looking to take over every aspect of our lives.
They are a symbol of slavery, a symbol of the American people being enslaved by the progressive left.

Promises are Easy, Follow Through not so Much

You know George H.W. Bush made the statement "Read my lips: no new taxes" and he was slammed for 4 years for raising taxes and lost his second term to Billy "BJ" Clinton.
Even though liberals live for higher taxes he was vilified for making the promise and then backing off of it.....and this was before the popularity of the Internet.

Funny thing is that no one in the media seems to remember the multitude of promises made by the Obamessiah.

Just a little reminder here
Fortunately we have the Internet, and if the media isn't going to cover the broken promises then they'll be plastered all over online.
No budget in 1,111 days, 8.1% unemployment and massive deficits is what we got.

But Obama is all over that repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act.

He's collecting big bucks for his campaign coffers from clueless celebutards while Americans using food stamps is at an all time high.

Obama has one promise that he kept:
"We will stand up in this election to bring about the change that won't just win an election, but will transform America".
He's transformed America alright, into a mess.
