Here we have a story of a presidential contender possibly committing multiple felonies and the media focuses on the state of Indiana that BTW elected a republican as governor.

The stunning revelation that Hillary Clinton wiped her personal e-mail server clean is the kind of political cover-up that should have sent the networks into overdrive, except they had an even more important agenda to advance: smearing an entire state and its Republican governor as anti-gay bigots.  From the morning of March 27 through March 30 evening the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) networks spent only 10 minutes and 15 seconds to the admission by Clinton’s own attorney that her State Department e-mails were wiped from the server that had been subpoenaed by Congress, but they devoted a whopping 35 minutes and 1 seconds to coverage of the Indiana religious freedom law.~snip~

The media want's to ensure that very few remember Hillary's emails.
I've always enjoyed fiction which is why I still watch the evening news, a habit I acquired back in the days when there were only 3 channels on TV and no net so I've seen first hand how the alphabet channels have changed.
They've become even more biased, the propaganda arm of the democrat party.

Rush May Have Something Here

Back when I was in junior high school I took band class and the school scheduled us for a concert.
They sent out fliers and the gym was packed with families waiting to hear their little darlings play their instruments and take pictures.
But, before we were allowed to play the PTA decided to have a meeting before and elect new officers...which would have been alright except the fliers sent out said nothing about a PTA meeting before hand.
If they wanted community input they got plenty of it and it wasn't good.
They believed they could hold those families as a captive audience and they would endure an hour or so of dry PTA business.
They were wrong.
Rush Limbaugh's observation reminded me of incident.

On his Friday show, conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh reacted to the previous evening’s monologue from CBS announcer James Brown during the pregame show of the Pittsburgh Steelers-Baltimore Ravens football game.
In that monologue, Brown offered a number of suggestions for his viewing audience that would somehow stymy the spread of domestic violence. However, Limbaugh decried Brown using his CBS platform for such monologue, arguing that wasn’t the time nor the place for such a lecture.
Then he went on to say that combined with other hot-button issues surrounding the NFL, including the 2012 murder-suicide of Jovan Belcher and his girlfriend, the name of the Washington Redskins and the entry of Michael Sam, the first openly gay player drafted by an NFL team would be the end of the NFL.
“Sorry, this is not why I watch football,” Limbaugh said. “This is going to be the death of this sport. It is no longer an escape. It is no longer about great athletes. It is no longer about amazing athletic achievement and drama. It’s now become about guns and gays and domestic violence.~snip~

He's got a point I mean maybe I missed it but I don't recall hearing or reading about anyone saying that they hope Bob Costas gives us what for on gun violence or raving about ESPN and their coverage of Micheal Sam.
I've been a fan of the NFL long before the pregame and half time portions of the game became another outlet of progressive/leftist propaganda. It's not like there isn't tons of other venues out there ready to expose the leagues short comings or how all football fans are racist,violent,gun toting homophobes.
But to become a captive audience to being slurred just because I want to watch a game on TV to entertain myself for a few hours is a bit much.
We can either push back against it or turn it off and at this point I don't think it makes much difference to me either way.

Biased Propaganda at PBS

In another example of clear leftist/progressive bias in the media and one we as taxpayers actually pay for, PBS s going to air a propaganda piece called "After Tiller".

Brown says “After Tiller” was funded in large part by pro-abortion groups and lists Planned Parenthood and NARAL as primary outreach partners.
According to Media Impact Partners, the film’s production team’s goals include changing the view of Americans in favor of late-term abortion providers and against legislation that bans late-term abortions. The filmmakers also hope that medical students will request abortion training be made available in their curricula.

There's some "hard hitting" truth tellers right there.
PBS, along with all the other liberal/commie/progressive so called "news media" seems to forget that Kermit Gosnell is also "After Tiler" and he too preformed late term abortions. Some how I don't think that fact will make it into the documentary.
I guess it would be a little tough to humanize the butcher of Philadelphia but there's no doubt in my mind that if Planned Parenthood or NARAL could then they would have.
This how PBS uses our tax dollars and it's way past time the government defund this obvious propaganda tool of the leftist/progressive media.
Ending support of the alphabet channels is as simple as turning them off, being forced to subsidize left wing talking points by government is unacceptable.

A lot of people believe that the despicable way the liberal/commie media distorts the news for their purposes is a relatively new thing. It's not, they have been doing it for at least as long as I've been alive and I remember the late 60's and early 70's and the way the Vietnam war and the troops were portrayed.

The biased progressive /liberal media picks and chooses the stories they report on nationally in order to deceive people into believing their side of a story. Like the near deification of Obama or a war on woman, support for gay marriage, rampant racism, class envy,illegal immigration. If their position can be distorted and presented as truth they will do it.
Unfortunately too many Americans, until recently, only had limited resources to find the truth.
Now with the internet and it's multitude of alternative news sources it's possible for people to see the lies and distortions of the biased media, they no longer have a monopoly.
Hopefully that will be enough to embarrass the media into becoming an unbiased source and not the propaganda arm of the democrat party.
Or they'll be relegated to the status of super market tabloids....where they belong.

Government Intimidating the Press........

....is never a good idea. Mostly because the majority of the commie/liberal press is already doing propaganda for the liberal democrats. For the most part I'm sure the study will just verify what most Americans know already, that most major news outlets follow the party line.

New Obama initiative tramples First Amendment protections

The First Amendment says "Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press…" But under the Obama administration, the Federal Communications Commission is planning to send government contractors into the nation's newsrooms to determine whether journalists are producing articles, television reports, Internet content, and commentary that meets the public's "critical information needs." Those "needs" will be defined by the administration, and news outlets that do not comply with the government's standards could face an uncertain future. It's hard to imagine a project more at odds with the First Amendment.
The initiative, known around the agency as "the CIN Study" (pronounced "sin"), is a bit of a mystery even to insiders. "This has never been put to an FCC vote, it was just announced," says Ajit Pai, one of the FCC's five commissioners (and one of its two Republicans). "I've never had any input into the process," adds Pai, who brought the story to the public's attention in a Wall Street Journal column last week.
Advocates promote the project with Obama-esque rhetoric. "This study begins the charting of a course to a more effective delivery of necessary information to all citizens," said FCC commissioner Mignon Clyburn in 2012. Clyburn, daughter of powerful House Democratic Rep. James Clyburn, was appointed to the FCC by President Obama and served as acting chair for part of last year. The FCC, Clyburn said, "must emphatically insist that we leave no American behind when it comes to meeting the needs of those in varied and vibrant communities of our nation -- be they native born, immigrant, disabled, non-English speaking, low-income, or other." (The FCC decided to test the program with a trial run in Ms. Clyburn's home state, South Carolina.)
The FCC commissioned the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for Communication and Democracy to do a study defining what information is "critical" for citizens to have. The scholars decided that "critical information" is information that people need to "live safe and healthy lives" and to "have full access to educational, employment, and business opportunities," among other things.
The study identified eight "critical needs": information about emergencies and risks; health and welfare; education; transportation; economic opportunities; the environment; civic information; and political information.~snip~

Of course the best way to make sure that the news follows the party line is to involve commie and liberal infested universities and their socialist journalism departments to insure the proper thoughts are being disseminated.

If I were of a conspiratorial bent the first thought that would have come to my mind is that the Obama administration kinda suggested this to the FCC in order to silence FOX news and conservative radio.
Obama wouldn't play dirty politics or lie to us....would he?
The democrats have control of the majority of the media and now are basically so emboldened by conservatives inability to counter them that they don't even try to hide it any more.

Medias Central Planning

It might be important for all of us to keep this in mind as the midterm elections loom closer in 2014.
Getting the truth maybe even more elusive than usual this year as it appears that the Obama administration intends to pull all the stops on its propaganda machine.

Reporters should go the next “year without reporting any public polling data,” Joel Benenson, president and CEO of Benenson Strategy Group, said.

Lapdog Press Nips at Heels

*I haven't been able to blog due to the weather in my area and various power outages, it seems that all that has been straightened out so I can get back to my regular schedule. Which is pretty much when I find something interesting.*

It seems that the WH press corps (corpse?) has been in a slow simmer over the fact that pool photographers aren't given access to take pictures of the president and only release those taken by the White House photographer after being vetted by....well whoever. But it ain't the press.

My take on this is that the liberal/commie media doesn't mind propagandizing for Obama and the democrats, what they object to is that it's someone elses propaganda and not theirs.
While it is amusing to watch the liberal/commie media whine and squeal about what they believe is a snub by the administration (because it is really) the fact remains that it won't change the lies and bias emanating from the MSM one iota.

President Barack Obama sustained an hour-long press conference today without a single question about his signature healthcare law and the glitches that continue to plague the insurance exchanges -- a point that frustrated several conservatives.

There used to be a time when the press worked to inform the American people, now they're just a propaganda arm for Obama and the democrats.

TV network stories blame Republicans, 21-0, for shutdown, not Democrats

The nation’s big three news networks are falling right into place for President Obama and the Democrats, blaming the Republican Party for the government shutdown by a whopping 21-0 story count.
According to a survey by the conservative media watchdog Media Research Center, in 39 stories during the two weeks leading up to the shutdown, CBS, ABC and NBC blamed the failure to cut a budget deal on the Republicans 21 times, both parties four times, and Democrats zero times. In 14 stories, nobody was to blame.
Some examples of how the story is being played on the networks:
– "CBS Evening News" correspondent Nancy Cordes on Sept. 18: “Speaker Boehner was forced into the risky strategy by his right flank ... [a strategy] one Senate Republican described to us today as suicide.”
– ABC’s Diane Sawyer: “The president expressed outrage that one faction in one house of Congress is ready to bring the entire federal government to a halt.”
– "Face The Nation" host Bob Schieffer: “Will the moderate and more establishment Republicans continue to go along with the ultraconservatives? ... We’re headed to a shutdown unless the moderates in the House revolt.”~snip~

Checks and balances , that's what our government is supposed to do and while republicans deserve some jazz for the way they've handled it Obama and the democrats should be held accountable for their intransigence on the issues also.
But seeing as how the liberal/commie media is the propaganda arm of the democratic party it's a pretty sure bet that it'll be the republicans fault only 24/7.
The sad part is that is that a lot of people will fall for the medias leftist propaganda.

Lois Lerner Retires From IRS, Big Three Networks Censor

The censorship of the IRS scandal by ABC, CBS and NBC has reached a new low. Not even the news of Lois Lerner’s retirement, the official at the center of the IRS Tea Party targeting scandal, could break the Big Three networks’ months-long streak of no scandal coverage.
The Drudge Report splashed the news on the top of its site on Monday but not a single network bothered to report the stunning news that night or Tuesday morning that Lerner, as the Washington Times reported, “retired from the agency Monday morning after an internal investigation found she was guilty of ‘neglect of duties’ and was going to call for her ouster, according to congressional staff.”
This is just the latest in a long line of IRS scandal developments that the Big Three networks have refused to cover. In fact they’ve just stopped covering the scandal completely. It’s been a whopping 90 days since ABC last mentioned the story back on June 26. NBC hasn’t touched the controversy in 89 days and CBS last ran an IRS scandal story 61 days ago on July 24.
While none of the Big Three evening news show reported on the Lerner retirement here are some of the news items they did find time to highlight:
CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley highlighted the popularity of the new iPhone.
NBC News with Brian Williams hyped the big winners on Sunday night’s Emmy Awards.
ABC’s World News with Diane Sawyer notified its viewers that Mick Jagger was about to be come a great grandfather.

The Obama owned liberal/commie media has been trying to make the IRS scandal go away for weeks by simply not reporting it.
So it would make sense that they would cover for one of their ideological own. The liberal media will do everything they can to make sure that no one in the IRS will be held accountable for targeting anyone who opposes the Obama administration because they have simply stopped being news organizations.
They are the propaganda arm of the democrat party.

Propagandists Pushing Forward

I don't know why I do this to myself but I've taken to watching the ABC evening news just to keep abreast of what the communist network news talking heads are feeding the country.
After November it's obvious that they have the ear of the low information voter out there so they keep over half of the 30 minutes fluff and nonsense but the leads are all about the socialist agenda.

For instance the first story was all about the anti-second amendment efforts by highlighting the Giffords in their "Search for Solutions" segment.
Which as we all know the "solution" will be to violate the rights of law abiding citizens.

The next segment was about the other long time favorite of commie progressives,the climate change hoax, cause it's to hot in Australia and to extreme in the U.S. Just another excuse for socialists to control us and take our freedoms.
Of course there wasn't any discussion about other reasons that the weather changes because in their minds the science is settled.

This is the "information" that the low info voters are getting and it does make a difference. We need to be aware of what our friends and neighbors are being brain washed with by the lick spittle Obama media so we cam try and counter it.
Then maybe we won't be blind sided at the next election.
