Obama continues with his poor foreign policy judgments

Has anyone else noticed the piss poor choices Obama has made propping up questionable, to say the least, actors when it comes to his foreign policy?
Like his support of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt when it was plain the Egyptian people didn't want them in power or the way he has marginalized Israel.
How about the way he placates the mullahs in Iran which makes the other middle eastern countries nervous?
How about his arming of Al Qaeda terrorists in Libya?

Here he is again making deals with the Taliban to free what is a pretty sketchy soldier to bring him home to what appears to a Taliban sympathizer in his father.

Fellow soldiers call Bowe Bergdahl a deserter, not a hero
(CNN) -- The sense of pride expressed by officials of the Obama administration at the release of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is not shared by many of those who served with him -- veterans and soldiers who call him a deserter whose "selfish act" ended up costing the lives of better men.
"I was pissed off then and I am even more so now with everything going on," said former Sgt. Matt Vierkant, a member of Bergdahl's platoon when he went missing on June 30, 2009. "Bowe Bergdahl deserted during a time of war and his fellow Americans lost their lives searching for him."
Vierkant said Bergdahl needs to not only acknowledge his actions publicly but face a military trial for desertion under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
A reporter asked Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel Sunday whether Bergdahl had left his post without permission or deserted -- and, if so, whether he would be punished. Hagel didn't answer directly. "Our first priority is assuring his well-being and his health and getting him reunited with his family," he said. "Other circumstances that may develop and questions, those will be dealt with later."~snip~
There's a lot of stuff out there about the inconsistencies of  Bowe Bergdahl capture. There needs to be full investigation of the circumstances surrounding not only his capture but the events around the deal Obama made for his release.
Bob Bergdahl also needs to lighten up on the rhetoric because from what I see any sympathy out there for the return of his son is being pretty quickly eroded

The Two Faces of John McCain

I found this video of John McCain facing his constituents at a town hall meeting on my timeline on facebook and found it kind of interesting on a couple of levels.
Aside from the guy telling him if it was up to him McCain and most  politicians in DC should be arrested for treason for aiding and abetting the enemy. When if you think about it it's about the only conclusion you can come to because it seems that they do their best to support Al-Qaeda in Libya, Egypt and Syria.

His response is basically it's beneath him to dignify the accusation. Even though it seems pretty apparent that he wants to provide air support for Al-Qaeda terrorists in Syria.
The other thing that struck me though was his assertion that he's been re-elected 8 times so that signifies to him that his constituents in Arizona approve of what he's doing. (even though there is an attempt to recall him)

But the fact is to get re-elected the last time he pretty much out and out lied about his position on amnesty and people might have figured that he learned his lesson about listening to those who elected him.

Remember this?

He got himself re-elected and then turned right around and started working for amnesty again dragging Marco Rubio down the RINO hole with him.

The point is that in John McCain's mind he get elected again so he owes the voters nothing, he answers to no one but John McCain. The fact is if he decides to run again he'll just lie about giving a damn about the voters......again.
The question is will the voters fall for it a 9th time?

In Search of the Truth

One of the stories starting to emerge from the unrest in Egypt is the apparent accusation by the Egyptian government of the media reporting on the events with a bias towards the Muslim Brotherhood.

Egypt Rebukes Foreign Press for 'Biased' Coverage
CAIRO--As Egyptian security forces moved to end a bloody standoff with supporters of Egypt's ousted president on Saturday, government officials were assailing a different foe: the Western media and critical foreign governments.
In a statement emailed in English to foreign correspondents Saturday, the Egyptian State Information Service rebuked reporters for what it called "biased coverage" that it said privileged supporters of Mohammed Morsi over the security services who have been fighting them.
The SIS also castigated the foreign press for not paying enough attention to attacks on Christians and Islamists' "intimidation" of ordinary Egyptian citizens.

"Egypt is feeling severe bitterness towards some Western media coverage that is biased to the Muslim Brotherhood and ignores shedding light on violent and terror acts that are perpetrated by this group in the form of intimidation operations and terrorizing citizens," said the unsigned statement.~snip~
There's also been reports by journalists of intimidation and violence towards them on twitter. I ain't seeing a whole lot of sympathy for the liberal/commie media in comments.
I ain't havin a lot of sympathy for them either.
The leaning of the American press towards terrorist, like Hamas and Hezbollah, with their lionization of the anti-semitic pro-Palestinian hag Helen Thomas is just a small reminder that the media is this country no longer has any interest in truth telling.
The examples I could give are numerous, starting with their failure to fully vet the one candidate that needed to be vetted in 2007 to the current distractions they report on to keep the Obama failures from the public consciousness.
Like Sydney Leathers, rodeo clowns, St. Skittles, 30 year old racist statements and "binders full of women".
For me anymore the way I can tell if the liberal media is lying is if their lips are moving or if their printing something. At one time, decades ago, while the media played fast and loose with the facts you could at least count on there being some truth in what they report.
Not anymore.

It's made me realize that with the filter of the liberal/commie media we don't really know what's going on in Egypt anymore because we can't count on them reporting just the facts.
The Egyptian people ain't swallowing the malarky.
I'm old enough to know a couple of facts though, one is that the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization and when it comes to corrupt regimes being democratically elected that doesn't mean fair.
Our media is trying to depict the MB as victims of the Egyptian military when I'm sure that the real truth is that the Egyptian military are only trying to help the people correct a mistake.

That is the story that the media should be reporting.

The Obama Administration's Neglect

From Reuter's, I guess pigs do fly.
Obama's been enjoying himself at the taxpayers expense while the middle class shrinks and employment has stagnated since his inauguration.
David Rohde asks what does it say to the youth of Egypt that Obama goes golfing and Kerry suns on his yacht?
It says welcome to the incompetence and neglect America has suffered while Obama and the democrats hold power, not only do they not care about what's happening here but they couldn't care less what is happening in Egypt either.
You've been abandoned by the "leadership" here....welcome to the club.

Media Befuddled by Egypt

I was watching the CBS comedy called the nightly news the other day and was struck by the talking heads utter bewilderment that democratically elected president, like Morsi, could be just thrown out.

U.S.-Egypt relationship uncertain after Morsi's ouster
Days of tense street demonstrations in Egypt built to a dramatic climax on Wednesday, when the Egyptian military removed the Muslim Brotherhood-backed President Mohammed Morsi from power, installed a temporary civilian government and called for new elections.
Morsi denounced the move, labeling his ouster a "full coup," but he was ultimately unable to leverage his status as the first democratically elected leader of Egypt to remain in power.
Whether President Obama's administration agrees with Morsi's assessment that his removal was a "coup" could have significant ramifications for the future of the U.S.-Egypt relationship, particularly the continuation of roughly $1.3 billion in annual aid provided to the Egyptian military.~snip~
I suppose that they believe that no matter how oppressive or incompetent a country's leader is, if he was elected by a majority of constituents then they don't have a right to realize that they made a mistake and the attempt to show him the door.
(Makes you wonder what other oppressive and incompetent leader they may be preemptively covering for.)

In a true democracy the people have a right to choose another leader if the one elected cannot or will not perform his duties as promised or expected. Morsi was bent on turning Egypt over to radical Islamists enshrining sharia into the law and, like Obamacare, very hard to get rid of when fully implemented.
He and the Muslim Brotherhood oppressed minorities, meaning anyone who wasn't a muslim.
The people weren't going for it, so they exercised their right to protest and force him out. Democratically elected doesn't mean you got to live with the mistake forever.

Obama Backed Despot Morsi on his way out?

I've been kind of keeping an eye on what's been going on over in Egypt what with all the protests rejecting Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood and can't help thinking that this is the guy that our fearless leader has been propping up since Mubarak was ousted.

The Obama administration fell all over itself to help this guy try and establish an Islamic state and the Egyptian people don't seem to want any of it....or they want something closer to a more secular government like they had before.
Obama sat back on his hands and let Libya be taken over by radical Islam allowing an American Ambassador and others to become trapped and then killed and is arming Syrian "rebels" who are closely aligned with Al Qaeda that do stuff like slaughter Christians and behead priests or cut out hearts and livers to eat.
Al Qaeda?
Wasn't that the group that trained and sent terrorists to crash planes into the world trade center and possibly elsewhere if one plane hadn't crashed into a Pennsylvania field?

Anyway the Egyptian military is threatening to intervene and Morsi is pretty defiant about it claiming he was democratically elected and gathering Islamists and members of the brotherhood to rally to his defense. Even as cabinet officials resign.
The military don't seem to be backing down either.

I don't believe that this will end pretty at all and of course Obama is still trying to prop up the Muslim Brotherhoods pick because that's what he does. Pander to terrorists.

I wonder what would happen if the Egyptian military starts to move against Morsi and all of a sudden  his supporters started showing up with weapons?

This can turn into a raging civil war, one that we need to stay out of and let the Egyptian military oust a possible Islamist despot and call for new elections. Because at this point any interference from the US would damage our reputation even further in the middle east.

Obama needs to quit turning over these countries to radical Islamic terrorists, for our security and theirs.

What Cutbacks?

Remember all the doom and gloom that Obama warned us about leading up to the sequestration cuts?
Well apparently nobody told John "Lurch" Kerry about em.

Kerry Announces $250 Million in U.S. Aid for Egypt

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Secretary of State John Kerry announced Sunday that the United States would provide $250 million in assistance to Egypt after Egypt’s president promised to move ahead with negotiations with the International Monetary Fund over economic reforms.
In a statement issued after his two-hour meeting with President Mohamed Morsi, Mr. Kerry said the aid decision reflected Egypt’s “extreme needs” and Mr. Morsi’s assurance that Egypt would reach an agreement with the I.M.F. after more than a year of talks over a $4.8 billion loan package.
The statement issued by Mr. Kerry noted that he and Mr. Morsi had discussed the need to ensure the fairness of Egypt’s coming elections, but it did not mention any specific political commitments the Egyptian president had made to receive the aid.
Parliamentary elections are scheduled for April. Some opposition groups have said they will boycott the vote because of what they see as an effort by Mr. Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood movement to dominate Egyptian politics.~snip~
So in order to scare people and make sure we all feel the pain of minuscule cuts in spending Obama threatens the poor and children but is willing to give millions to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Obama is going to make sure that the American people suffer way more than government, which is his industry cause it's pretty plain that he has no intentions of slowing the growth of government.

Feds keep hiring with sequesters in place: 400 jobs posted on first day back

The sequester cuts are now officially in place, but many government agencies appear to be hiring freely anyway.
The U.S. Forest Service on Monday posted help-wanted ads for a few good men and women to work as “recreation aides” this summer, the Internal Revenue Service advertised for an office secretary in Maryland, the U.S. Mint wanted 24 people to help press coins, and the Agriculture Department said it needs three “insect production workers” to help grow bollworms in Phoenix.
Monday marked the first regular workday under sequestration, and federal agencies posted more than 400 job ads by 6 p.m.
At a time when nearly all of those agencies are contemplating furloughs, the help-wanted ads raised questions about how agencies should decide between saving through attrition or letting people go.~snip~

I don't know about anybody else but I'm tired of Obama pissing on my leg and then telling me it's raining. Maybe that's why his approval rating is dropping.

What Will 4 More Years of Obama Get us?

Yesterday was the eleventh anniversary of 9/11, an anniversary that  the New York Times didn't even feel an obligation to commemorate on the front page.
What we did get was violent protests in Egypt and Libya resulting in the death of the U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens.

This is the result of Obama's pandering to Islamic extremists by his administration and encouragement of the "Arab Spring" that ushered in the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda into positions of power. Obama has outdone Jimmy Carter in abdicating free nations to oppressive Islamic theology.
As long as Obama is president the anniversary of 9/11 will be commemorated by increasing violence and death followed by an apology for our constitutional freedoms.

This is not the kind of America that I want to leave my children or grand children, Obama needs to be voted out in November. Period.
