In Search of the Truth

One of the stories starting to emerge from the unrest in Egypt is the apparent accusation by the Egyptian government of the media reporting on the events with a bias towards the Muslim Brotherhood.

Egypt Rebukes Foreign Press for 'Biased' Coverage

CAIRO--As Egyptian security forces moved to end a bloody standoff with supporters of Egypt's ousted president on Saturday, government officials were assailing a different foe: the Western media and critical foreign governments.
In a statement emailed in English to foreign correspondents Saturday, the Egyptian State Information Service rebuked reporters for what it called "biased coverage" that it said privileged supporters of Mohammed Morsi over the security services who have been fighting them.
The SIS also castigated the foreign press for not paying enough attention to attacks on Christians and Islamists' "intimidation" of ordinary Egyptian citizens.

"Egypt is feeling severe bitterness towards some Western media coverage that is biased to the Muslim Brotherhood and ignores shedding light on violent and terror acts that are perpetrated by this group in the form of intimidation operations and terrorizing citizens," said the unsigned statement.~snip~

There's also been reports by journalists of intimidation and violence towards them on twitter. I ain't seeing a whole lot of sympathy for the liberal/commie media in comments.
I ain't havin a lot of sympathy for them either.
The leaning of the American press towards terrorist, like Hamas and Hezbollah, with their lionization of the anti-semitic pro-Palestinian hag Helen Thomas is just a small reminder that the media is this country no longer has any interest in truth telling.
The examples I could give are numerous, starting with their failure to fully vet the one candidate that needed to be vetted in 2007 to the current distractions they report on to keep the Obama failures from the public consciousness.
Like Sydney Leathers, rodeo clowns, St. Skittles, 30 year old racist statements and "binders full of women".
For me anymore the way I can tell if the liberal media is lying is if their lips are moving or if their printing something. At one time, decades ago, while the media played fast and loose with the facts you could at least count on there being some truth in what they report.
Not anymore.

It's made me realize that with the filter of the liberal/commie media we don't really know what's going on in Egypt anymore because we can't count on them reporting just the facts.
The Egyptian people ain't swallowing the malarky.
I'm old enough to know a couple of facts though, one is that the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization and when it comes to corrupt regimes being democratically elected that doesn't mean fair.
Our media is trying to depict the MB as victims of the Egyptian military when I'm sure that the real truth is that the Egyptian military are only trying to help the people correct a mistake.

That is the story that the media should be reporting.

Chaplains for Atheists?

I ran across this story before and thought to myself how, like all things radical atheists do, to be just silly.

Lawmakers battle over push to create military 'chaplain' for atheists

Members of Congress are set to square off over a push to create military chaplains for people who do not believe in God.
The effort to create a chaplain for atheists and "humanists" has been building over the last several weeks. While the title might sound inherently contradictory, supporters say the point is to give atheists in the military someone who will pro-actively reach out to them and facilitate meetings.
Jason Torpy, president of the Military Association of Atheists and Free Thinkers, claims that 23 percent of those in the military ranks assert no religious preference. And he argues chaplains are not providing enough "positive outreach and support" in the way "they do for all of those beliefs that aren't their own."
As might be expected, the campaign is running into some heated criticism.
Lawmakers turned away a Democratic-sponsored amendment last month that would have created the post -- and now, Republicans are trying to formally quash the idea, with an amendment to a defense budget bill that would require military chaplains to be affiliated with a particular faith.
"When it comes to the idea of an atheist chaplain, which is an oxymoron -- it's self-contradictory -- what you're really doing is now saying that we're going to replace true chaplains with non-chaplain chaplains," said sponsor Rep. John Fleming, R-La. "It's just total nonsense, the idea of having a chaplain who is an atheist." ~snip~

So apparently they're serious and and one has to question the sanity of someone so consumed by hatred for what other people simply believe.
Then it dawned on me, this is the liberal/commie's way of belittling and marginalizing Christianity again in order to make sure that a sense of morality doesn't interfere with their desire to put morally bankrupt people in positions of power.

Why else would we have the likes of Bill Clinton, Anthony Wiener, Elliot Spitzer or John Edwards all trying to get into public office?
The liberal/commies and atheists all ask what does it matter what these people do in their personal lives, it has nothing to do with their skills as politicians?

The difference is that we entrust our politicians with taxpayer money and believe their promises to us....total strangers when they can't keep their promises to ones they are supposed to love and honor above all others.
If their real desire was to provide counselors for service members on a secular level (like the counselors or physiologists already provided) then why not call them "secular counselors" or something like that?
But that doesn't fit into the radical atheists plans to diminish and ridicule the position of "chaplain" which is the real goal of this push for an "atheist chaplain".
It's all in the intent and I believe that that is theirs.

I don't know about the rest of you out there but I'm waiting for the media outrage and dis-owning of this Senator by the DNC.

Senator Clarifies Remark Telling Troops To ‘Go Fuck Themselves’, Says Quote Taken Out Of Context

Phoenix, AZ - A state senator is in hot water after making controversial remarks last week in an interview with Arizona Foothills Magazine. The full interview, which is to be released Friday, includes contentious quotes on military service-members, the constitution, and defense spending.

Senator Linda Lopez (D-29, AZ), a member of the Veterans and Military Affairs Committee, was apparently quoted during the interview as saying “the troops should just go fuck themselves.” Lopez continues to claim that her remarks have been “taken out of context” and that she is in fact a huge supporter of the U.S. military.
It’s not the first time Lopez is being questioned for something she said. In the wake of the Gabrielle Giffords’ shooting, she told an interviewer that the shooter was “probably a veteran of Afghanistan.“ The shooter, Jared Lee Loughner, had no military experience.
Her most recent remarks come after a vote in the Committee to improve education benefits and mental health services for veterans of all service branches. Lopez opposed the bill and was the only no vote, telling reporters that she opposed it on constitutional grounds. When pressed further, she admitted however, that “she hates the fucking constitution.”
Minutes after making the remark, she told reporters that she misspoke and didn’t mean to use profanity.
“I only voted no on the bill because I support the troops, but don’t support the war,” Lopez said. “Besides, if these numbskulls would quit enlisting, we wouldn’t need to support the stupid fucks. That last part’s off the record, by the way.”
Lopez has maintained that the full context of her interview quote was about supporting the troops and giving them fleshlights as a way “to go fuck themselves in the warzone and at home.”

I know , as everyone else does, that this will get no where near the same press as Rep. Akin's remarks on rape because the truth is that the dinosaur media and progressive liberals truly do hate the troops. Believing them to simply be cannon fodder in their ideological battle for the country.

But the selective outrage of the commie leftists and their lick-spittle media needs to be documented at every turn. 

Because they own it and need to eventually be held accountable.
