Flying Pig Alert

Here's one of those no shit Sherlock moments, after twisting and lying every which whay she could (in spite of all the evidence otherwise).Rachel Dolezal admits she's white.

I wonder how this would have played out for her if she admitted from the get go that she was white but identified as black?
I'm sure there would have been some backlash but it wouldn't have been near the amount she got by insisting she wasn't white.

Halloween is almost here

Storm gusts blow giant, inflatable pumpkin through Peoria
Halloween came early for drivers and pedestrians as a giant, inflatable pumpkin emerged from a group of trees before bouncing through a Peoria intersection and down the roadway in video captured on Thursday.

12 News viewer Diego Ramirez caught the pumpkin's journey on video near Peoria High School, by 83rd Avenue and Peoria.

The video shows the 25-foot-tall, 350-pound orange jack-o'-lantern roll every which way and even across multiple lanes of traffic before it got stuck beneath a streetlight pole. It then broke free and rolled off into the distance to enjoy its freedom, but the chase to capture it was on.~snip~

Republicans Slap Back at the Media

So, I watched the republican debate tonight on commie/liberal CNBC and was pleasantly surprised to watch the GOP candidates serve some backlash on the spineless moderators.

Republican debate turns into all-out war as Donald Trump bashes John Kasich, Jeb Bush hits his protege Marco Rubio, and EVERYONE hammers CNBC's moderators

  • CNBC hosts progressively lost control of the event
  • Texas Sen. Ted Cruz turned openly hostile, accusing them all of being Democrats intent on damaging the GOP field
  • Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie soon piled on the network
  • Donald Trump wrapped up his night by claiming he had strong-armed them into shortening the debate 'so we could get the hell out of here'
  • 'CNBC should be ashamed of how this debate was handled,' Republican Party chairman Reince Priebus said
I gotta say it's quite the change from Mitt's squishy performance against Obama and Candy Crowley. They both tag teamed him and he went off into a corner.
That's the one thing that's been missing in the GOP, a little back bone.

If you really want to know where it came from then you gotta give Donald Trump the credit.
Most of his critics are the lapdog media and squishy RINO types but you have to admit that he showed the way for the republican candidates not to sit there and take it from the mainstream media....which is basically just another arm of the democrat party.

Cruz, Rubio and Christie got in some good slaps at the lick spittle media but the Donald showed them the way.
Maybe they'll finally grow some spines.

Deputy Ben Fields Fired over Slamming Student

I'm sure all the social justice warriors are rejoicing.

Arrest video fallout: Spring Valley High Officer Ben Fields fired
(CNN)The South Carolina deputy who slammed a disruptive student on the floor and tossed her several feet has been fired.

Other students in the classroom at Spring Valley High School caught the incident on video.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott suspended Deputy Ben Fields without pay, and then fired him Wednesday.

Fields violated police regulations when he threw the girl, the sheriff said.

Fields was the Spring Valley High School resource officer whose actions Monday were recorded by students and ignited a firestorm on social media. Among the criticisms: his admitted use of "muscling techniques" to get the student out of her chair.~snip~
There's an argument to be made that the officer over reacted but what's really missing here is the outrage over the student being disrespectful to the teacher and principle and to her fellow students.
Let's just say for a moment that government schools ain't about indoctrination but education, defying the "powers that be" disrupts the learning environment.
The student sat through several attempts to get her to leave and purposely defied each one so the question that needs to be answered is what now?
The only option left was to physically remove her from the class room.
So while we're having a discussion about the how we also need a discussion as to the why.
Why did the situation have to escalate to the point of physically removing the student. What has gone wrong with society that this kind of thing happens?
As I said, you can argue that the officer over reacted but at that point what was anyone supposed to do?

Hang on for a Bacon Tax

Because you know that's where this is going if democrats have their way.

OMG! Bacon causes cancer
Pigging out will kill you, the World Health Organization said Monday — warning that bacon, sausage and other processed meats are now in the same category of cancer risk as smoking cigarettes and inhaling asbestos.

Hot dogs, ham, corned beef and almost every other salted, cured or smoked delicacy have been officially classified as “carcinogenic to humans” — and red meat as “probably carcinogenic” — based on a study by 22 scientists from the WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer in Lyon, France.

Experts concluded that each 50 gram portion of processed meat eaten daily increases the risk of colorectal #cancer by 18%

— WHO (@WHO) October 26, 2015

The agency revealed their findings Monday.

“For an individual, the risk of developing colorectal cancer because of their consumption of processed meat remains small, but this risk increases with the amount of meat consumed,” said Dr Kurt Straif, head of the IARC Monographs Programme. “In view of the large number of people who consume processed meat, the global impact on cancer incidence is of public health importance.”~snip~
Before long we'll hear the howls from the liberal moonbats that they'll have to levy a tax on bacon and other processed meats to price them out of range for the vulnerable poor.
Just like they did for cigarettes and want to do for carbon dioxide, soda drinks, red meat, alcohol and anything else they can think of to confiscate our money for them to spend.

Rumours? Jeb to drop from Race

This is kind of unconfirmed but to tell you the truth I've been hard pressed to find anyone online who really supports the Hispandering Jeb Bush.

DEVELOPING: Amidst insults to GOP voters JEB to drop out Monday
Jeb Bush is to drop out Monday according to political insiders and leaked memos from top aids to Jeb’s campaign team disclosed to the press this evening.

Jeb is in huge trouble as he has lost coveted ground to Marco Rubio, and the GOP nomination is all but assured for Donald Trump.

Mr. Trump’s surge in the polls took many for surprise, and he is still growing more powerful by the day.~snip~
I'm sure he's a nice guy but the last thing we need is another spineless squishy RINO.

Income Equality BS

The democrat party couldn't exist without constant crisis. It's how they whip up their base.
Actually all politicians are guilty of it.
The immigration crisis, the "gay" marriage crisis, the "war on women crisis, the rape culture crisis and so on.
Only one candidate constantly puts out the theme that he wants America to become great again economically and that's not crisis talk. It's just positivity amongst all the crisis.

Of course income inequality is supposed to be another crisis.......or is it really?
Or just another manufactured crisis to whip up the liberal/democrat base?

Wealth inequality isn’t a ‘crisis’ — and voters know it
Inequality is the defining challenge of our time, President Obama says. “There’s too much inequality,” Hillary Clinton said in the debate Tuesday night. And the United States, Bernie Sanders noted at the same event, has more wealth and income inequality than any other country.

Inequality certainly is a symptom of a persistent underlying condition: It may be the leading cause of bulls–t in America today. To put it simply, there is no inequality crisis.

Sanders, the Grandpa Simpson of economics, has been repeating the nonsense about the US leading the way in inequality for months even though FactCheck.org reported his claims were bogus back in May.
The US is only 42nd (out of 117 countries measured) in income inequality, according to the World Bank. We’re only 16th when it comes to the wealth held by the top 1%.

Inequality is to some extent a residual effect of success: If there weren’t any billionaires or millionaires, inequality would be vastly diminished.

America attracts and breeds success so brilliantly that we nearly beat the rest of the world combined in some respects: 42% of the world’s millionaires are Americans, and 49% of those with $50 million or more in assets.
The American tendency to respect, and expect, success runs counter to the progressive plan to tax it away. Not only does constant chatter about inequality tend to make Americans more supportive of free enterprise, but it also leads to a blanket suspicion about what the regulatory and taxation elves really mean to do.~snip~
Most voters do know that it's BS but the liberal base eats it up. The majority of voters want too see more jobs created. They know then that income inequality will take care of itself.

Colts Confuse Themselves

Tom Brady's Dad wanted the Patriots to put 60 points on the board against the Colts. They didn't quite make it but it appears that the Colts were trying to help them out.
There are explanations why this "play" was attempted out there on the web so you can search for them but to me they kind of fall flat.

This wasn't a good idea at all.

McDonald’s all-day Disaster

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

McDonald’s all-day breakfast has been a disaster
They’re in no way “lovin’ it.”
McDonald’s franchisees say the launch of all-day breakfast has been a disaster — griping that it has slowed down service, lowered average bills and sparked chaos in the kitchens.

Mark Kalinowski, an analyst for the Japanese finance company Nomura, surveyed 29 operators overseeing 226 different locations in the US and found that many were pulling their hair out due to the new menu options, which rolled out last Tuesday to much praise from Egg McMuffin lovers.

“In small stores, the problems are vast with people falling over each other and equipment jammed in everywhere,” one franchisee wrote in response to Kalinowski’s survey.~snip~
In my opinion service at fast food restaurants has been declining quite a bit, there's several I won't go to any more because the fast in fast food has left the building
That's a shame because there's a few I used to really like, Chick-fil-a seems to be the only one left in my neck of the woods that continues to be fast and friendly.

Jersey Devil?

Now that we're in October and Halloween is on everyone's mind it's time to start contemplating the spooky and weird.

Is the Jersey Devil in Galloway Township? | Paranormal Corner
For more than 200 years, people living in or passing through New Jersey's Pinelands have reported seeing a strange, winged creature that has come to be known as the Jersey Devil.

There are tons of stories about the monster, and thousands of witnesses who claim they have encountered it.

Late Tuesday night, I received an email from a reader who recently became one of those witnesses.

Dave Black of Little Egg Harbor Township was driving home from his security guard job in Atlantic City when he saw what he thought was a llama running in and out of the trees lining the road.

"I was just driving past the golf course in Galloway on Route 9 and had to shake my head a few times when I thought I saw a llama," he wrote in his email.

What happened next is the bizarre part.

"If that wasn't enough, then it spread out leathery wings and flew off over the golf course." ~snip~
I always take these kinds of things with a grain of salt but the question I always have to ask is why are all the "supernatural" or "UFO" videos always of poor resolution or slightly out of focus or, like this one, dark with poor contrast?
Come on people let's brush up on those photo skills huh?

Playboy and the Death of an Era

Looks like the only reason to read Playboy after next year will be the articles. But then again why buy a magazine to ogle beautiful nude women when you got an internet connection?

Playboy to Drop Nudity as Internet Fills Demand
Last month, Cory Jones, a top editor at Playboy, went to see its founder Hugh Hefner at the Playboy Mansion.

In a wood-paneled dining room, with Picasso and de Kooning prints on the walls, Mr. Jones nervously presented a radical suggestion: the magazine, a leader of the revolution that helped take sex in America from furtive to ubiquitous, should stop publishing images of naked women.

Mr. Hefner, now 89, but still listed as editor in chief, agreed. As part of a redesign that will be unveiled next March, the print edition of Playboy will still feature women in provocative poses. But they will no longer be fully nude.~snip~
The print media has found itself having to cede to the internet and the way it has changed peoples consumption of news and entertainment.
Satellite and cable will eventually do so also, kicking and screaming all the way.

Anything for the Cause

Feminism has finally reached peak absurdity, some feminists are so committed to the cause that they will literally piss their pants on command.

#PissForEquality: Feminists Fall for Hoax Campaign, PEE on Themselves
Feminists have fallen for a hoax campaign that encourages them to pee on themselves in the name of equality. They are using the hashtag #PissForEquality.

The troll hoax was created by 4chan. On October 2, one 4chan member wrote, “What if we somehow get Tumblr tards to publicly piss/shit their pants in the name of ‘Equality?'”

Today's social justice warriors require no critical thinking skills, just the ability to follow any suggestion put out there.

Time to "Ditch and Switch"

I love watching these ladies because they're really committed to their candidate.
I've been a republican for over 20 years and I'm also tired of the squishy RINO offerings of the RNC. Enough McCain's and Mitt's, maybe the Republican party needs a Trump to shake it up.

Establishment RINO Jeb Falls to 4%

Here's what bowing down to the RNC and kissing their ass gets you.

Poll: Jeb Falls to 4%
The latest Pew poll shows that Jeb Bush has fallen to 4 percent in the Republican field. Donald Trump leads the field with 25 percent; Ben Carson is at 16 percent.

Carly Fiorina and Marco Rubio are tied for third at 8 percent of the Republican field.

"At this stage of the 2016 presidential campaign, key issues divide both Republican and Democratic voters, and early candidate preferences reflect some of these cleavages," writes Pew.

"When Republican and Republican-leaning voters are asked in an open-ended format (no names provided) for their first choice for the nomination, none of the 15 GOP candidates are named by more than 25% of those who may vote in the primary: 25% name Donald Trump, 16% name Ben Carson, both Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina are named by 8%, 6% name Ted Cruz and 4% choose Jeb Bush. Other candidates are named by 2% or fewer. A quarter (25%) of potential Republican primary voters do not mention a first choice today, four months before the first caucuses and primaries."
Maybe if the RNC offered a leader as opposed to a republican party follower people would be more interested in their chosen candidate.

Mass Shootings and Gun Free Zones

Funny (as in odd not haha) thing is that almost all mass shootings are in gun free zones. I don't believe that it's any wonder why, if your intent is to kill as many people as possible you don't want to be interrupted by some 2nd amendment types.

Less than 90 minutes after Oregon shooting, CNN analyst suggests school’s ‘gun free zone’ to blame
Less than two hours after massacre at Umpqua Community College on Wednesday, CNN military analyst Rick Francona suggested that the shooter had chosen the location because it was a gun free zone.

“We were talking earlier about these gun free zones in Oregon,” Francona told CNN host Brooke Baldwin. “Oregon is a shall issue permit state. A lot of Oregonians do have concealed handgun licenses, that’s what we call them here.”

“The gun free zones are the areas that tell licensed gun owners that you are not allowed to carry your weapon in this facility,” he continued. “So, they do serve a purpose to let everyone know that this is a gun free zone.”

“If you’re going to perpetrate some act, you know that most people are not going to be armed.”

“You are really setting people up — and law enforcement — for somewhat of a failure when you have an active shooter scenario,” Gilliam insisted. “Clearly, policy has to be looked at and what’s effective.”

“This shows you how quickly these things can go bad, and these gun free zones, just like happened in Tennessee that this shooter that went onto a military installation, which was a gun free zone,” he added. “We see that the only thing that’s going to stop a gun is another gun.”~snip~
It seems by the title that Raw Story disapproves of the reaction of CNN's military analyst so soon after the fact.
I wonder if they'll disapprove of Obama's speedy response.

Musical Interlude 9/29/2015

Gone but not forgotten.

The Trump Effect

With Boehner on his way out now pressure is being applied to oust Mitch McConnell.
You have to wonder if this is the result of the rejection of conservative voters to the current crop of squishy RINOs being offered by the RNC.
Could it be that the republican elitist jack-holes are finally getting the message?

Under pressure: McConnell pushed to resign as Senate Majority Leader
With John Boehner now departing as House speaker, an influential Republican Party official is now seeking the ouster of another GOP leader who has frustrated conservatives: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

“McConnell needs to resign!!” Louisiana GOP Chairman Roger Villere wrote in a Facebook posting.

Mr. Villere isn’t just any Republican. He’s the longest-serving state GOP chairman in the nation, with 12 years on the job, and is the vice chairman of the Republican National Committee, the GOP’s national governing body. He also serves on the RNC’s executive committee that makes decisions alongside Chairman Reince Priebus.
“Mitch is a good and honorable guy, but the base is leaving our party,” Mr. Villere said in an interview with The Washington Times. “I’m out in the field all the time and we have all our elections this year for state offices, and it’s hurting us tremendously with our elections.”
Aides for Mr. McConnell, Kentucky Republican, did not return repeated calls and emails seeking comment. A spokeswoman for Mr. Priebus said he was unavailable Sunday.~snip~
I doubt if it'll be in time to save the RNCs preferred  candidate Jeb or for them to retool this election cycle with more worthy candidates but McConnell resigning could be a sign that the republican party would be one that might represent the people.
Instead of the elites single quest for power.

Rand Paul looking Shaky as Well

I'm sure a lot of these guys thought they would be more popular than they are but it seems that the same old squishy spineless RINO talking points ain't working.

Death watch for Rand Paul campaign
LEXINGTON,KY. — Rand Paul was right.

In January 2014, the day after The Atlantic anointed Paul, Kentucky’s junior U.S. Senator, as the Republican frontrunner in the 2016 presidential race, Paul told the Herald-Leader “it’s still too early probably to talk about things like that.”

“That sounds unlucky to me,” he said.

Less than two years later, Paul’s luck, it seems, is running out.

Campaigning on Friday in New Hampshire, Paul continues to charge ahead with his struggling presidential campaign, but speculation is growing that he might be the next Republican candidate to drop out of the race.~snip~
Fighting against  government tyranny when it comes to light bulbs and low flow toilets is fine for a senator but they're not enough substance for running for president.

Jeb on the Bubble?

I haven't run across anybody, online or not, who actually supports Jeb Bush.
His "act of love" speech for illegal aliens hurt him badly and his poll numbers indicate he hasn't recovered from it. I mean the American people have been demanding that the border be closed and immigration laws be enforced for over a decade that I'm aware of.

It's make or break time for Jeb Bush
Jeb Bush is entering a critical phase of his Republican presidential campaign, with top donors warning that the former Florida governor needs to demonstrate growth in the polls over the next month or face serious defections among supporters.

The warnings, expressed by numerous senior GOP fundraisers in recent days, come as Bush and an allied super PAC are in the early stages of an aggressive television ad campaign that they believe will help erase doubts about his viability.

But Bush continues to battle against a steady decline in the polls, sinking to fifth place at just 7 percent in a national NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released Sunday and similarly languishing in the early states of Iowa and New Hampshire.

The warnings from top donors come as Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's exit from the race refocused the battle within the GOP's establishment wing as one between Bush and his former protege, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.). Right now, the momentum appears to be behind Rubio, who has jumped ahead of Bush in most polls. At least a third of the bundlers who signed up to raise money for Walker have switched their allegiance to Rubio, while a smaller number have gone with Bush, according to people familiar with the discussions.~snip~
Things are way different after two terms of Obama and his wimpy foreign policy that basically hands the keys to the border to illegals from almost any country.
Any candidate who isn't on record as tough on immigration needs to drop out before he's forced out.
Jeb just needs to go because he's simply another Bush, the wrong candidate for the time.

Super Moon!!!!

Plan your apocalypse accordingly.
For those anticipating the end and are having a fire sale on their possessions let us know in the comments.
I got a few bucks.

Sunday’s rare supermoon eclipse: What you need to know
Stargazers are in for a treat Sunday when a supermoon combines with a lunar eclipse for the first time since 1982.

The supermoon eclipse will last 1 hour and 11 minutes, and will be visible to North and South America, Europe, Africa, and parts of West Asia and the eastern Pacific, according to NASA. Weather permitting, the supermoon will be visible after nightfall, and the eclipse will cast it into shadow beginning at 8:11 p.m. ET. The total eclipse starts at 10:11 p.m. ET, peaking at 10:47 p.m. ET.~snip~
I'm looking forward to observing it cause I doubt I'll be around for the next one.
.

The RINO is strong in this one

This is the kind of stuff that has people running towards Trump.

RUMORS ON CAPITOL HILL: BOEHNER CUT DEAL WITH PELOSI TO AVOID GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN
According to those sources, outgoing House Speaker Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) and Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) agreed that her Democratic caucus would join Boehner along with a handful of Boehner loyalists and moderate establishment Republicans to continue Planned Parenthood funding, along with a few other budget items President Obama says were must-haves, in order to avoid a Government shutdown.

Boehner resigned because he knew that after he cut that deal, conservatives in his own party would be so furious with him that it would make challenges to his Speakership a certainty, sources say. Even if he survived those challenges, his remaining year and three months in office would be contentious and personally uncomfortable for him.

One source specifically said that the deal was limited to a continuing resolution that would last only until December 11.

Boehner’s last day as Speaker and member of the House of Representatives is slated for October 30.~snip~
The republican party adamantly refuse's to even attempt to do what their constituents want. Even just a little bit.
Donald Trump runs as a republican, generates a popular platform and the RINO party completely rejects it and then makes deals with the devil....er....democrats.
And they and the pundits don't understand why people are rejecting their "establishment candidates"..

You'd think by now they would try to buy a clue.

Musical Interlude 9/25/2015

A little Slow Hand, Eric Clapton on acoustic guitar playing Layla.

Breaking:Boehner to Resign at end of October

I'll believe it when/if it happens.
I can't really see RINOs giving up their power and who's to say his replacement will be any better?

Boehner Will Resign from Congress
WASHINGTON — Speaker John A. Boehner will resign from Congress and give up his House seat at the end of October, according to aides in his office.
Mr. Boehner was under extreme pressure from the right wing of his conference over whether or not to defund Planned Parenthood in a bill to keep the government open.

Why Trump is doing so well

Not that the RNC will ever concede to the fact that they are nothing more than a elitist club who believe that they have a right to tell us what we want right or wrong and we're supposed to just shut up and go along.

Most Agree With Trump on America's Lost Greatness, Bloomberg Poll Finds
Americans are “fed up” with politics, suspect the wealthy are getting an unfair edge, and think the country is going in the wrong direction, according to a new Bloomberg Politics poll that lays bare the depth and breadth of the discontents propelling outsider candidates in the Republican presidential field.
The survey shows that 72 percent of Americans think their country isn't as great as it once was—a central theme of front-runner Donald Trump's campaign. More than a third prefer a presidential candidate without experience in public office.
Three of the four candidates leading the Republican field fit that description: Trump, the first choice of 21 percent of registered Republicans and voters who say they lean that way, followed by neurosurgeon Ben Carson with 16 percent, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush with 13 percent, and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina with 11 percent.~snip~
The republican party is so clueless that even with an example of how to clearly generate enthusiasm and support all the candidates pretty much just fall into the party line.

Aircraft Commuter Traffic

Here's something you don't see every day.

Video captures plane speeding down Irvine street
A week ago, a small plane landed on an Irvine street.
Now, video has emerged showing the Piper Cherokee aircraft quickly gliding down Red Hill Avenue, looking much like a normal car.
The plane was approaching John Wayne Airport when its engine failed. No one was hurt, and the plane eventually came to a stop.
A flight school owns the plane.

Harridans at the View Shoot themselves in foot

You know as long as these hags have been on it amazes me that it took them so long to finally be seen for what they are.
After trashing the profession of nursing they finally get the backlash they deserve.

Johnson and Johnson and Egglands best pulled out first then they were followed by,3 more advertisers.

It also seems their apology wasn't worth much either.

‘NOT A REAL PROFESSION': ‘VIEW’ HOSTS TRASH NURSES AFTER ON-AIR APOLOGY
After a week of damage control and apologies for mocking a nurse,  a guest co-host on “The View” reports that none of it was sincere. Behind-the-scenes “The View’s” mockery of the profession marched ever onward.
After co-hosts Michelle Collins and Joy(less) Behar aired a segment where they ridiculed a nurse who participated in the Miss America contest, the embattled gabfest found itself consumed by social media blowback, which eventually resulted in the loss of five major advertisers: Johnson & Johnson, Eggland’s Best, Party City, Snuggle and McCormick.
Wednesday, in the hopes of containing the fallout, the women offered an on-air apology. According to Nicole Arbour, a guest co-host, the apology was far from sincere. She claims that after the apology, while the show was not on the air, the ladies went right back to trashing nurses, ‘Yeah, that’s not a real profession. They want to be doctors.’

Left wingers Foul and Narcissistic

I really don't think this will surprise many people.

Left-wingers swear more, Twitter study claims
Left-wingers are more likely to use swear words than their right-leaning counterparts, a study of thousands of Twitter accounts has suggested.
While conservative-leaning individuals are, perhaps unsuprisingly, more likely to use religious terms such as "God" and "psalm", those on the liberal end of the political spectrum are heavy users of "f***" and "s***" online.
Researchers at Queen Mary University in London analysed more than 10,000 Twitter users who follow either the Republican or Democrat party Twitter accounts.
Once the most common English words were stripped out, researchers analysed the "most differentiating" words - those used significantly more by one group than the other.
Both "f***" and "s***" appeared in left-wingers' 20 most common differentiating words.
Conservatives, who "are more likely to emphasise group identity and consensus" according to the researchers, tended to use group terms like "we" and "our", while terms like "I" and "me" were used by liberals more often.~snip~
Leftists are incapable of having a conversation. I've yet to encounter one who can give a reasoned argument for there position or a proper rebuttal when challenged.
Always right to the swear words.
That's why I've given up engaging with them.

How to Support an Anti-Christian Bigot

Just buy Doritos.
Dan Savage has absolutely no redeeming value whatsoever and any "good cause" he sponsors suffers because of his association.

‘SUCK MY D*CK': DORITOS ALIGNS WITH ANTI-CHRISTIAN BULLY DAN SAVAGE

I haven't noticed any big ad campaign proclaiming that Dan Savage and Doritos have teamed up for support of the "it gets better" campaign. Most likely because Doritos wants to make sure they are at a safe distance from Savage.

Times Republican Debate Poll

For what it's worth here is an online republican debate poll by Time magazine.
Trump is at 67%
Fiorina at 13%
Everyone else polling in the single digits.

I'm sure we'll get a better picture after the professional pollsters get through massaging the data later today.
Trump almost 62% at Drudge.

What this is is an obvious ploy to shakedown these sites for more government revenue cause ya know......they've been such good stewards of our tax money so far......amirite!!!

Eye on the ball: Democrat wants hearings on fantasy football websites

Democrats are like the, mob always looking for a bigger cut.

Jeb! Wrong on 2nd Amendment

And pretty much everything else. His position on immigration is a no starter for me,and even though some of this is tongue in cheek, there is nothing he has said that indicates to me that he is a serious candidate.

Jorge Ramos tries to Jump Ahead in Line

You know I would think that if you're advocating for amnesty for illegal border jumpers you might have a tendency not to try to jump to the head of the line for anything and demand ....well anything.

I've seen a lot of people posting about how terrible it is that Trump isn't "civil" and yet we see this kind of crap from the leftist tools all the time.
The Donald don't play that game.

Could you imagine how different things could have turned out if Mitt had fired back at Candy Crowley after she opened her yap to defend the Obamessiah or any of the other things the leftist media attacked him with, The usual suspects would of course been appalled but I'm sure conservatives all over the country would have been cheering for a republican candidate with a backbone.

That's why Trump is polling so well no matter what he does, he's a symbol for "we ain't gonna take it no more media!!".

Planned Parenthoods Cash for Corpses

I've been kind of sitting back and watching events unfold with a lot of things that have been going on for the last couple of months.
One of the things that's had my interest is the videos released from the Center for Medical Progress showing us the utter disdain that Planned Parenthood has for human life. While some of them have been shocking I hate to say it but they haven't been surprising.
It's really just the result of the constantly moving moral line that leftists have been forcing on us for decades.
What's really disappointing is the apparent unwillingness of the republicans, that we elected in the midterms who promised to change things in Washington, to really do anything about it.

Our cultural rot is everywhere.

Why is Trump in the Lead

There's a lot of republicans out there that are pretty upset that the Donald is leading the GOP field and gosh darn it they can't figure out why.

POLL: TRUMP WITH 7 POINT LEAD OVER GOP FIELD
Donald Trump is number one in a new nationwide poll from Quinnipiac University, with a seven-percentage point lead over all other GOP presidential candidates. Trump took 20 percent in the poll, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker comes in second with 13 percent.
The third candidate according to the poll is former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush with 10 percent.
All other GOP presidential candidates come in under double digits.~snip~
I don't suppose that it hasn't occurred to the RINOs that we've heard them all before. They say, "just elect us and things will change".
Well we did and things haven't changed, In spite of polls and pretty consistent opposition they still try and sell the "comprehensive immigration reform" which pretty much guarantees amnesty but no border enforcement.
They promised to repeal or defund Obamacare and guess what?
Trump is leading the polls because the base doesn't believe republicans anymore and as much as they think they need to appeal to "minorities" they are doomed with their base.
The idiot RINOs are squandering a great opportunity, all they have to do is let Trump throw issues at the wall and see what sticks. They don't have to attack him because the commie/leftist media will do that.
Then they just fold those issues into their campaigns because they know that those issues resonate with their base.
But no.......they gotta pander to a leftist media and others who don't like them anyway in order to try and become "mainstream".

For republicans to become like democrats is just a losing strategy and I'm tired of selecting the less of 2 evils and holding my nose when I vote.

My Take On King v. Burwell

A lot of conservatives seem pretty upset with today's Obamacare ruling. I'm more disappointed than upset about it, mostly because the RINO's in congress really didn't have a plan to prevent the chaos that would have occurred if the ruling had gone the other way.

Supreme Court Allows Nationwide Health Care Subsidies
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that President Obama’s health care law allows the federal government to provide nationwide tax subsidies to help poor and middle-class people buy health insurance, a sweeping vindication that endorsed the larger purpose of Mr. Obama’s signature legislative achievement.
The 6-to-3 ruling means that it is all but certain that the Affordable Care Act will survive after Mr. Obama leaves office in 2017, and has a greater chance of becoming an enduring part of America’s social safety net.
For the second time in three years, the law survived an encounter with the Supreme Court. But the court’s tone was different this time. The first decision, in 2012, was fractured and grudging, while Thursday’s ruling was more assertive.~snip~
The truth is we brought Obamacare on ourselves by electing Obama and and a majority democrat congress and house and with it getting Pelosi and Reid into positions of power.

To quote Chief Justice Roberts:
"It is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices.”
Obamacare will exist in some form into perpetuity even if the republican party offers us something other than the RINO milquetoasts they keep putting in front of us.
The effort needs to go towards fixing what we have because now it will never disappear.

About that Confederate Battle flag

So Nikki Haley (R-NC) has called for removing the the confederate battle flag, the one put up there by a democrat in 1961.
From American Power blog.

Democrat Governor Fritz Hollings First Raised Confederate Flag Over South Carolina Statehouse in 1961
The Confederate Flag was first raised over the South Carolina statehouse in 1962, when Democrat Ernest "Fritz" Hollings was governor. ~snip~
The democrats keep trying to deny their racist past but history keeps coming back to bite them on the ass. That's why they keep trying to rewrite it by passing off "social justice" history like Howard Zinns A People's History Of The United States.
There doesn't seem to be whole lot about how the democrats pandered to and created the KKK or the democrat governors who fought against desegregation.

People need to remember that it was a racist democrat who flew the confederate battle flag over the capital and a republican governor who called for it to be taken down.

The Medias Bias Marches on

So the AP crops and posts this image of Ted Cruz, you know, a republican. I'm the AP believes this is a coincident and if you believe that then they have bridges for sale in the classifieds.

AP photo shows a gun pointed at Ted Cruz’s head
In an Associated Press image that drew comment and criticism on Twitter on Sunday, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is seen speaking with what appeared to be a gun aimed straight at him.
The photograph — taken by the AP’s Charlie Neibergall — actually captured a background poster, with a large semi-blurred image of a handgun pointed at Cruz’s forehead, straight between the eyes.
Story Continued Below
Cruz was appearing Saturday at CrossRoads Shooting Sports in Johnston, Iowa. During his speech, Cruz, an outspoken proponent of Second Amendment rights, encouraged residents to adopt what he called a Texan approach to guns by simply “hitting what you aim at.”
A day earlier, the Republican presidential candidate accused Democrats of using Wednesday’s church massacre in Charleston, South Carolina, as an excuse “to take away the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.”~snip~
Now a lot of conservative sites are asking the question,"what if it was <insert democrat name here> ?"
That question misses the point entirely. The media is so in the tank for liberal/commie democrats that every story or picture about them is meticulously vetted to reflect liberal/commie democrats in the best light.
By the same token every story or picture about republicans is meticulously vetted or titled to make them look like fools.
Thanks to liberal media bias this will be the climate we enter into for the next presidential election.

Social Justice Creates Mediocrity

Here's a perfect example of social justice warriors sabotaging society.

3 Ways Cancer Scientist Tim Hunt’s Social Media Mob Went Too Far
Sir Richard Timothy Hunt is a British biochemist who won a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for discovering protein molecules that control the division of cells. He was elected a fellow of the Royal Society in 1991, was awarded the Royal Medal for his work on cell cycle control and was knighted by the Queen. He’s worked on cancer research for decades.
Last week, he was speaking at the 2015 World Conference of Science Journalists at a lunch for female journalists and scientists. He said something he claims was meant as a joke, but that went over like a lead balloon:
“Let me tell you about my trouble with girls … three things happen when they are in the lab … You fall in love with them, they fall in love with you and when you criticize them, they cry.”
We’ll skip to the aftermath. Hunt was forced out of his position at University College London as well as from the Royal Society’s Biological Sciences Awards Committee and forced to step down from the European Research Center.~snip~
What we have here are a bunch of self righteous assholes running off one of the best and brightest simply because they were "offended".
How many times will something like this happen?
There's a whole group of "social justice warriors" out there hanging on every word uttered hoping for something to be offended about so they can puff themselves up because they have so much "power".
So now here's a guy who is the top in his field researching CANCER who has been driven from his work.

Boy that'll teach us, won't it?

Why Christianity and Morality Matters

I laughed out loud when I read this article.

TV News Reporters Speak Out About Explosion of Explicit On-the-Street Taunts
It’s not a new problem, but it’s one that by most accounts is getting worse.
A growing number of TV news reporters say over the past year, there has been an increase in the level of sexually explicit taunts they face while covering stories on public streets. The disturbing trend involves hecklers running up and yelling, “F–k her right in the pu–y” into microphones as reporters stand in front of the camera.
“The acronym ‘F her in the P’ is constant,” NBC4 Southern California reporter Beverly White told TheWrap. “Total strangers, typically young men, shout that profanity like they have a right, and I beg to differ. It is deeply offensive and it’s infuriating.”
The obscene interruptions started to gain notoriety in May 2014. The first known incident was initially thought to have been said by a heckler during a live broadcast in Cincinnati, Ohio. The footage went viral, but the stunt turned out to be a hoax. Still, the copycat incidents are all too real.~snip~
The liberal media has spent decades tearing down barriers to morality and marginalizing Christianity and now they're calling foul on the society they created.
I'm old enough to remember when people had more respect for others than to shout this kind of obscenity at others. Especially when women were around.
Mostly because there was a line that most wouldn't cross and if anyone did their peers would express their disapproval.
I mean I could imagine moral people or Christian youths maybe mugging at a camera or waving their arms behind them but uttering something like this wouldn't even be considered.
But now that the liberal/commie media has marginalized good character or a belief system that encourages good citizenship they're upset over the monster that they have created.

The medias disconnect from the consequences of their own actions is amazing.

Guadalajara Nazi's

Of course the New York Times provides cover because the youngsters probably do't know about the Nazi's. They probably don't but the event organizers and the teams choreographer most assuredly does.

Mexican Girls' Cheer-Dance Team Does Nazi-Themed Routine
MEXICO CITY — A cheer-dance team in Mexico drew criticism Friday for a routine in which they displayed flags with swastikas, dressed in pseudo-military outfits and one girl appeared to toss a Nazi salute to the crowd.

The performance by about two dozen girls aged 10 to 16 and one boy came at a cheer-dance competition in the western city of Guadalajara at the end of May.

The girls wore red armbands, camouflage dance outfits and carried red flags as they strutted in marching-style formations.

A video of the performance drew condemnation when it began to circulate Friday on social media sites.

On local news sites, many readers said the girls probably didn't know much about the Nazis, and blamed the event organizers and the team's choreographer for the questionable routine.~snip~
Ann Coulter is right, we need to start looking at others culture while the leftists democrats and RINO republicans allow unfettered access to this country with open borders.

SJW* Fail

* Social Justice Warrior

I guess we got "trans" everything in America now.

'Black' NAACP leader outed as white woman
SPOKANE, WA (KREM) -- A recent investigation into racially charged threats made toward the president of the NAACP chapter in Spokane have raised questions beyond who made the threats.
On Thursday, Rachel Dolezal's parents claimed she had been deceiving people.
Ruthanne and Larry Dolezal said Thursday that they want people to know the truth including that their daughter is Caucasian. The Dolezals sat down with 11Alive's Spokane sister station, KREM 2 News and said their daughter is specifically German and Czech.~snip~
What got her in trouble was her allegations of racially charged threats against her. I would think her credibility is pretty much well shot.
I think one of the questions we need to ask ourselves is why do so many people fall for this kind of crap?
I wouldn't be surprised if a movement rises up claiming that race is "fluid" also allowing for a defense for this kind of deception. Anything to justify shaming society in the name of "social justice".

Who knew? Mozart's Good for You

Listening to music can relax or excite people depending on the type but here they're talking about an actual boost in brain activity. Which for me could be a good thing.
Beethoven not so much it seems and somehow I don't believe disco works either.

Listening to Mozart can boost your memory: Classical composer's music increases brain wave activity - and it beats Beethoven
Listening to Mozart can give your brain a boost, according to a new study.

People who heard the classical composer's music showed an increase in brain wave activity linked to memory, understanding and problem-solving, researchers found.

However, no such increases were found after the group listened to Beethoven, suggesting there is something specific about the effect of Mozart's music on our minds, they said.

The researchers, from Sapienza University of Rome, said: 'These results may be representative of the fact that Mozart's music is able to 'activate' neuronal cortical circuits (circuits of nerve cells in the brain) related to attentive and cognitive functions.'~snip~
So here's some Mozart - Allegro con spirito from Sonata in D major, K. 311 for your brain.
You're welcome.

MSNBC Be-clowns itself again

Not that that is news seeing as how they do that daily.
Asking Miss Piggy if she's pro-choice is apparently a "burning question" in their minds.

Sex Toy Selfies

So how's that extra credit assignment working out?

Selfie With Parents’ Sex Toys? Alameda Teacher Accused Of Assigning Bizarre Extra Credit For Sophomores
ALAMEDA (CBS SF) — Parents of students at Encinal High School in Alameda want a teacher fired after they say he sent them home with an extra credit assignment of finding sex toys and condoms in their parents’ private drawers, and taking a selfie with what they find.
Mothers Kimberly Cobene and Evangeline Garcia heard about the sex toy selfie last month from a counselor at an afterschool program their sophomore daughters attend.
“It was to go into your parents’ private drawers or whatever to seek out sexual toys or condoms, or anything of that nature and to take a selfie with it,” Cobene said.
Encinal High administrators implied to the moms that the assignment may have been a joke, but not every student saw it that way.~snip~
Should be interesting to see how the school administration bobs and weaves itself out of this one. The implied joke is their first attempt, there's a good possibility that it'll just go away and they can avoid answering to anyone.
Which is pretty much how bureaucracies try to function.
I suppose it depends on whether the parents pursue it or let the school officials intimidate them into dropping it,

Closing in on Pluto

The New Horizons probe is getting closer and closer to the dwarf planet Pluto.

New Horizons Probe Closes On Pluto And Spots Possible Polar Caps
The spacecraft is within 34 million miles from Pluto and closing. Its closest flyby on July 14 will take it within 8,000 miles of the dwarf planet. At that distance, if the probe were passing by Earth, it would be close enough to provide images of the skyscrapers of downtown Denver, the football stadium, and Platte River.
Pretty cool that I'll be able to see close up images of Pluto in my life time this July.

IRS Fast Tracks Pot Church

Want to start a political non-profit,especially if it;s considered "right-wing",then prepare for an IRS inquisition.
If you consider marijuana a sacrament then not so much,

Marijuana church given tax-exempt status in Indiana: ‘Somebody at the IRS loves us
’The IRS has incorporated an Indianapolis marijuana-smoking church as a tax-exempt religious organization.
Bill Levin, founder of the First Church of Cannabis in Indianapolis, was notified of the approval last week, which will now allow donors to deduct contributions on their taxes, the CNHI Indiana Statehouse Bureau reported Saturday. IRS documents provided by Mr. Levin confirmed the agency’s approval, CNHI said.
“Somebody at the IRS loves us because we got it back in less than 30 days,” Mr. Levin told Tax Analysts’ David van den Berg.~snip~
Less than 30 days in a state that using marijuana is still illegal.
It seems that the IRS considers pot-heads an important constituency for Obama and the democrats so obviously they need that tax-exempt status PDQ.

Caitlyn Jenner the Accidental Republican

As much as I've tried to ignore it apparently the biggest news this week seems to be Bruce Jenners "coming out".

Bruce Jenner debuts new identity: Caitlyn

This appears to be the second coming out for Bruce/ Caitlyn because a short time ago as "Bruce" he declared he was a republican.

That's got to be mind blowing for the all the social justice warriors out there having to fight their natural instinct to attack anyone claiming to be a (gasp) republican.

Not only hasn't that happened but now there is a republican on the cover of Vanity Fair.

Hurray for our side huh?

Instead all the left wing media robots are out there falling all over themselves trying to out do each others effusive fawning about how brave he/she is.

Somehow the republican thing is swept under the rug. Not that we should be claiming any bragging rights. But I do get quite a bit of satisfaction knowing that there is a part of the liberal/commie media recoiling in horror that they have to lavish praise on someone who proclaims to be a republican.

Hot Dog Robbery

I won't buy anything unless I see the price first.

Fights Break Out Over $30 Hot Dog Price at Stand Near Ground Zero: Officials
Meet Ahmed Mohammed. He might be the most expensive hot dog vendor in New York, especially if he thinks you're a tourist.
NBC 4 New York cameras recently captured him trying to charge a man named David $15 for a hot dog and a pretzel near the World Trade Center.

"I said, 'What are you, a crook?'" David later told NBC 4 New York. "I'm not a tourist, so I know the price in New York."
Customer after customer recounted how the vendor tried to charge them $20 to $30 for a hot dog.~snip~

On the Death of Free Speech

This is a really good article on the lefts attempt to control free speech using agenda politics.

LGBT Activists Arm For Further War On Free Speech
Kirsten Powers’ new book, “The Silencing,” nails it by showing just how bad things have gotten for free speech in America. It’s going to get a whole lot worse, and I’ll explain why.

Powers has dubbed today’s intolerant purveyors of leftist causes the “the illiberal left” because, as a liberal herself, she sees them as anything but liberal about allowing a voice to those who don’t toe their rigid line. Her book catalogues and analyzes the dehumanization and demonization techniques the illiberal Left applies towards anyone who dares to veer from their rigid narratives. Their sacred cows include abortion, climate change, same-sex marriage, and second-wave feminism. Dissenters are systematically smeared and destroyed.

There is no small irony in the fact that the crazed reaction from the illiberal Left to Powers’ book demonstrates the very behaviors and attitudes she critiques. Social media immediately erupted with a hate-fest and swarmed Powers on Twitter, in exactly the manner described in her book. It’s yet another exercise in promoting groupthink and suppressing freedom of expression by those who want to tell us all what we must think.

But I would add that most of this is coming straight out of the Left’s holy of holies: the LGBT lobby (whose agenda Powers happens to support.) Because next up on the LGBT hit parade is the literal silencing of America—with the force of the federal government behind it.~snip~
I really don't think it matters to the commie/left which cause they can use to create laws stifling speech just so long as they can find a way to stop people from saying things they don't like for "social justice" to create hate speech laws.

Once that happens the doors are open to anything deemed hateful and then we'll see people censoring their own thoughts out of fear that they will articulate them. The idea that our society seems to be OK with this is really what's alarming.

Surprise!!! gay marriage study uses fake data

Probably not that big of a surprise.
Like global warming the gay marriage "discussion" is agenda driven and there are more than enough leftist organizations out there willing to massage data or even out and out lie to advance the agenda.

Study on gay marriage views retracted after allegations of fake data
One of the authors of a recent study that claimed that short conversations with gay people could change minds on same-sex marriage has retracted it.

Columbia University political science professor Donald Green’s retraction this week of a popular article published in the December issue of the academic journal Science follows revelations that his co-author allegedly faked data for the study, “When contact changes minds: An experiment on transmission of support of gay marriage.”

According to the academic watchdog blog Retraction Watch, Green published a retraction of the paper Tuesday after confronting co-author Michael LaCour, a graduate assistant at UCLA.

The study received widespread coverage from The New York Times, Vox, The Huffington Post, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and others when it was released in December.~snip~
I've always found it kind of strange that all these "polls" supposedly indicate majority support for homosexual marriage and yet not one state has managed to enact homosexual marriage legislation through a popular vote.
I think we're just now discovering why.

Monday Laugh

The unfortunate aspect of this is there are people out there who will believe this.

I would think the true test is if we could honestly say we're better off than we were 8 years ago.

Most people I've talked to say no. I'm sure our former allies could say the same.

OBAMA: I’VE MADE THE US STRONGER, MORE PROSPEROUS, SAFER, MORE INFLUENTIAL
On CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS,” President Barack Obama said he was most proud of “saving the American economy” and he is”very confident that America is stronger, more prosperous, safer, and more influential today than it was when I took office.”

The president said, “I’m proud of saving the American economy. We still have a long way to go. Essentially what we did was stabilize it, lay a new foundation to move forward. As I said in the State of the Union address, that gives us, now the capacity to tackle what was an overriding theme of my campaign way back in 2008.  And that is to restore middle class economics and the capacity for people to get into the middle class and start seeing higher wages and a broader shared prosperity inside the United States.”

“Internationally, I’m proud of the fact that we’ve responsibly ended two wars. Now, people will say, well, you’re back in Iraq, but we’re not back in Iraq with an occupying army, we’re back with a coalition of 60 countries helping to stabilize the situation,” he added.~snip~

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev sentenced

Yeah, I'm sixty-mumble so I'm pretty sure I'll expire long before this jihadi is executed.

Jurors sentence Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death for Boston Marathon bombing
A federal jury sentenced Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death Friday for his part in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing that left three people dead, and for the murder of an MIT police officer as he and his brother attempted their getaway.

Tsarnaev showed no emotion as he learned his fate and stood with his hands clasped in front of him, his head slightly bowed. He faces death by lethal injection.

"My mother and I think think that now he will go away and we will be able to move on," said victtim Sydney Corcoran after the verdict. "Justice. In his own words, 'an eye for an eye.'"

Corcoran nearly bled to death and her mother lost both legs.

The 21-year-old faced the death penalty or life in prison for his role in the April 15, 2013 attack in which two pressure-cooker bombs were detonated near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.~snip~
If we're not going to proceed with swift and certain justice here then it would be a lot cheaper on the taxpayers to just give him life without parole.
Not that I'm against the death penalty but we're looking at decades before its carried out so if they ain't going to do it right away then why not let him rot?

Stephanopoulos Cozy's to the Clintons

Anyone paying attention can't possibly have missed how far in bed liberal/commie journalists are with the Clinton's and the democrat party.
It's when they get caught that it's really entertaining.

EXPOSED: GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS HID $50K CLINTON FOUNDATION DONATION FROM VIEWERS
While reporting on, and aggressively defending the Clinton Foundation from numerous scandals and ethical issues, George Stephanopoulos, the star and poster boy of ABC News, hid his own conflict of interest from viewers. According to Politico, Bill Clinton’s former war room soldier and press secretary, the current anchor of “Good Morning America” and “This Week,” has donated at least $50,000 to the Clinton Foundation.

This is a bombshell of a black eye for ABC News.

Since ABC News hired Stephanopoulos as its chief anchor and chief political correspondent, many questioned how a former-Democrat operative could remain neutral in the role of a news anchor. Even before Hillary Clinton entered the 2016 presidential race, on numerous occasions Stephanopoulos exposed himself as a Democrat operative working as a news man.~snip~
Old George has been carrying water for the democrats for quite a while and his biases are pretty apparent. What's really surprising is that that he and ABC think they can minimize the damage already done by simply bowing out of the debates.
They're not taking into account that now any political reporting he does will be tainted by his obvious left-wing biases.
If he's going to shill for progressive/commies that's fine but ABC shouldn't let him do it under the guise of unbiased journalism.

The Transition from Baseball to Football

I played baseball as a kid but watched football mainly because it;s what my dad would watch on the weekends. So I never caught the baseball bug, but I had plenty of friends and family who did so I understand the uniqueness of the game.

The decline of baseball — and American

It would be a shame to lose what at one time was the definition of summer, barbecues and family.

Tom Brady Suspended

You look around the internet and read a lot of opinions on New England's deflated balls.
While I agree that it probably wouldn't have a made a whole lot of difference in the playoff game with the Colts I'm not so sure that is the point.

Cheating is cheating and if the league perceives it that way then there must be some kind of consequence. If not then why have rules at all?

Tom Brady Suspended Four Games For DeflateGate; Patriots Docked Draft Picks, Fined $1 Million
BOSTON (CBS) — The Patriots will kick off the NFL’s 2015 season on Thursday, September 10 at Gillette Stadium against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the night they are also scheduled to raise their Super Bowl XLIX banner. However, quarterback Tom Brady won’t be the one taking snaps under center in that game.
On Monday, the league announced that Tom Brady has been suspended four games.
In addition, the Patriots will have a first-round pick in 2016 and a fourth-round pick in 2017 taken away. The team will also be fined $1 million.
“We reached these decisions after extensive discussion with Troy Vincent and many others,” NFL commisisoner Roger Goodell said. “We relied on the critical importance of protecting the integrity of the game and the thoroughness and independence of the Wells report.”~snip~
The NFL hasn't had a real good year in the media as far as integrity goes what with all the domestic abuse allegations and a perceived failure to address it. Even though the NFL's primary business is football. The concussion settlement and the failure to place an openly gay player regardless of his abilities to play the game.

But in this instance they have every right to enforce the rules and should. Otherwise the game could go the way of professional wrestling.

NASA's Successful Failure

Today marks the anniversary of Apollo 13
While we all know how it turned out (I was 16 at the time and watched the drama unfold on TV) there's always the "what if " if they sadly had failed.
In a way it's kind of sad to see what NASA  has become under the influence of Obama and the politically correct crowd.
I would hope that it could still solve real problems if need be.

NYT in Denial on Labor Force Numbers

The "paper of record" just can't let go of it's cheer leading for Obama and the democrats crushing of the economy.
Here they are extolling the virtues of added jobs and a low unemployment rate.

U.S. Economy Added 223,000 Jobs in April; Unemployment Rate at 5.4%
The American job market rebounded in April, the government said on Friday, helping to ease worries that the economy was on the brink of another extended slowdown after a bleak winter in which the overall economy stalled. But the growth in jobs failed to translate, once again, into any significant improvement in pay.

Employers added 223,000 positions last month, the Labor Department reported, and the unemployment rate decreased to 5.4 percent, a turnaround from the disappointing performance in March, initially reported as a modest 126,000 gain and then revised down on Friday to 85,000.

“We expected a rebound following the numbers in March and we got it, but not much more,” said Guy Berger, United States economist at RBS. “Wage growth is still the missing piece.”~snip~
While they ignore the crushed hopes of Americans who have used up all their unemployment and therefore aren't counted as the unemployed.

Americans Not In The Labor Force Rise To Record 93,194,000
In what was an "unambiguously" unpleasant April jobs payrolls report, with a March revision dragging that month's job gain to the lowest level since June of 2012, the fact that the number of Americans not in the labor force rose once again, this time to 93,194K from 93,175K, with the result being a participation rate of 69.45 or just above the lowest percentage since 1977, will merely catalyze even more upside to the so called "market" which continues to reflect nothing but central bank liquidity, and thus - the accelerating deterioration of the broader economy.~snip~

Biased Pollsters Revealed....Finally

There's a couple of articles out today after the trouncing the Labor party took in Britons general election that should have us all wondering about the integrity of said pollsters. First off Nate Silvers take. Bod added

Nate Silver: Polls are failing us
Nate Silver fared terribly in Thursday's UK election: In his pre-election forecast, he gave 278 seats to Conservatives and 267 to Labour. Shortly after midnight, he was forecasting 272 seats for Conservatives and 271 for Labour. But when the sun rose in London on Friday, Conservatives had an expected 329 seats, against Labour's 233.

The fault, Silver claimed, was with the polling: "It’s becoming increasingly clear that pre-election polls underestimated how well Conservatives would do and overestimated Labour’s result," the statistician guru wrote in the wee hours of the morning. (He also overestimated the Liberal Democrats' result by roughly 20 seats).

But the problem went beyond the UK. "The World May Have A Polling Problem," Silver asserted. "In fact, it’s become harder to find an election in which the polls did all that well." Silver went on to cite four examples where the polls had failed to provide an accurate forecast of the election outcome: the Scottish independence referendum, the 2014 U.S. midterms, the Israeli legislative elections, and even the 2012 U.S. presidential election, where "Obama beat the final polling averages by about 3 points nationwide."

"[T]here are lots of reasons to worry about the state of the polling industry," Silver concluded, citing a range of factors. "There may be more difficult times ahead for the polling industry."~snip~
Also at Yahoo:

Pollsters another casualty of stunning UK election
London (AFP) - The Conservative party's unexpected triumph in Britain's general election delivers a hefty blow not only to the routed Labour party, but also to the pollsters who predicted a dead heat.

Cameron's Conservatives win in surprise UK election Associated Press
"The pollsters need to go off and interrogate themselves and poll each other to find who has been telling porkies to whom," concluded Conservative London mayor Boris Johnson.

"It's extraordinary that 11 polls on the eve of the election should get it so wrong."~snip~
You gotta wonder why they got it so wrong,
My take is that polling companies, like a lot of government agencies and the media, have become infested with leftists and social justice warriors who's intent is to influence who gets into office by any means necessary.
Including conducting polls in such a way as to get predetermined results and then present them to the public. Since pollsters work so close with the liberal/commie biased media they have an incentive to keep the media happy cause they pay the bills.
In the mean time we get snookered into believing left-wing fantasies and accused of being on the wrong side of history.
If anything these results should be a wake up call to us about the validity of polls and force us to take the results of any poll with at least a grain of salt.

Grabbed this from GOC.

Should Pamela Geller Apologize?

You know ever since the shooting in Garland,Texas the liberal media has been bending over backwards to find any excuse to blame the intended victims.

Event organizer offers no apology after thwarted attack in Texas
Pamela Geller, the woman behind the Texas cartoon contest attacked by two gunmen late Sunday, knew what she was doing when she staged the controversial event featuring irreverent depictions of the prophet Muhammad in Garland, Tex.

The Dallas suburb had hosted a pro-Muslim conference in January, about the time Islamist terrorists killed a dozen journalists with the satirical French publication Charlie Hebdo. Geller, a blogger and fierce critic of what she calls the “Islamization” of America, wanted to make a statement.

So she sponsored the Jihad Watch Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in the same exhibition hall as the earlier conference. She and her associates invited 200 people and hired 40 heavily armed off-duty police officers and security guards to protect them.

And then they unveiled the pictures: A drawing of Muhammad on a unicycle. A picture of the prophet with a beard of snakes. An angry Muhammad wearing a turban, holding a sword and yelling: “You can’t draw me!” — a reference to the fact that depicting the prophet is considered blasphemous by many Muslims.~snip~
There's something truly perverse about this kind of victim blaming and sort of eye opening about the fact that there seems to be something of a religious nature that liberals get outraged about.
In their minds you can create provocative art about Christianity.
Force people to compromise their faith,
Marginalize Christians.
But draw a picture of Mohammed and you got it coming.

Draw Mohammed Event Draws Gunmen

So I wonder if the liberal/commie media will do wall to wall coverage on this?

2 killed by police after opening fire outside Muhammad art event in Garland
Two gunmen opened fire Sunday evening outside a contest for cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad  at Garland ISD's Curtis Culwell Center, police said.
The two men pulled up in a vehicle and shot a Garland ISD security officer. The men were fatally shot by Garland police, and their bodies remain on the street outside the events center.
The security officer, Bruce Joiner,  was released from the hospital after his wounds were treated.
No one was being allowed to leave the facility, where an art show centering on caricatures of Muhammad was being held. Nearby businesses, including a Walmart and Sam's Club, were evacuated.~snip~
Already the media begins to cover for "the religion that no one dare say the name".

NYT reporter wonders why anyone would hold a ‘Muhammad drawing contest

Weird....seeing how they never asked the question "why would someone take a picture of piss Christ?".

So Who Didn't Know this was coming?

BALTIMORE — Baltimore’s chief prosecutor charged six police officers on Friday with crimes including murder and manslaughter in the arrest and fatal injury of Freddie Gray, a striking and surprisingly swift turn in a case that has drawn national attention to police conduct.
The state’s attorney for Baltimore, Marilyn J. Mosby, filed the charges almost as soon as she received a medical examiner’s report that ruled Mr. Gray’s death a homicide, and a day after the police concluded their initial investigation and handed over their findings. Officials had cautioned that it could take considerable time for her office to complete its own investigation and decide whether to prosecute.
Five of the six officers are in custody, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said later.~snip~
There's way to many questions surrounding the death of Freddie Gray and IMO not enough answers. It seems that charges are on the fast track simply to satisfy the rioters and social justice crowd.

CNN's Cuomo Tells Protester "You Know How They Are"

So here we are again with the media clearly expressing their bias towards the protesters as opposed to just reporting. The message being that the police are the unreasonable ones ready to jump to violence with minimal provocation.

CNN's Cuomo Warns Baltimore Protester About Police: 'You Know How They Are'
CNN's Chris Cuomo warned a protester in Baltimore about a possible police overreaction on Wednesday's Anderson Cooper 360. Cuomo walked up to a line of demonstrators who were protesting the death of Freddie Gray, after his arrest by the city's police, and underlined that the police would go after them: "You got to know: walking toward the cops in the middle of the street – they're going to come at you." When one of the protesters replied that they were going home, the journalist retorted, "Just be careful, because you know how they are. If you seem like you're being provocative towards them, you know how things can go." [video at the link]~snip~
At best the media should be neutral, but if they do that then they ain't "social justice warriors!!!".
