Awww No Hillary Documentary: Update Et tu NBC?

In a lot of different ways this is kind of disappointing.

Director nixes Hillary documentary for CNN after pressure from Clinton aides
The filmmaker who was planning to produce a controversial documentary on Hillary Clinton has pulled out of the project, claiming that Clinton aides exerted pressure on him and that dozens of potential sources refused to grant interviews.
Director Charles Ferguson revealed his decision regarding the now-canned documentary for CNN Films in a column posted Monday on The Huffington Post. He cited opposition from members of both parties -- the Republican National Committee had threatened to boycott presidential primary debates hosted by CNN over the project -- but indicated the strongest resistance came from the Clinton world.
"When I approached people for interviews, I discovered that nobody, and I mean nobody, was interested in helping me make this film," he said. "Not Democrats, not Republicans -- and certainly nobody who works with the Clintons, wants access to the Clintons, or dreams of a position in a Hillary Clinton administration."
Ferguson said that after approaching more than 100 people, "only two persons who had ever dealt with Mrs. Clinton would agree to an on-camera interview, and I suspected that even they would back out."~snip~
I seriously doubt republicans threatening to boycott CNN had much effect on the decision, I've only been able to make it through 5 minutes of their "reporting" before the tears from my laughter made it impossible to see.
My guess is that Hill put the kibosh on anybody cooperating for the documentary so it wouldn't cut into any of her book sales. I mean after all why would low information voters bother reading a book when they can just watch it on TV?
I don't think it has anything to do with her worrying that the truth might actually get out there either seeing as how CNN has no problem carrying her water when she lies anyway.

Clinton says she 'misspoke' about sniper fire

Yeah that's the ticket.
One story and then never spoken about it again, I wonder if they'll remind their viewers about her less than honest assertion when she runs in 2015 like they did when she testified in front of congress about Benghazi?
Oh wait.........

update: NBC Scraps Hillary Clinton Miniseries

So who out there doesn't think Bill and Hill had this die on the vine?

Propaganda Media Upending Evil

All week long the liberal/commie media has been reporting on how evil the republicans are.
They're terrorists and have been holding the country hostage with their outrageous demands to either defund Obamacare or delay it or shut down the government.

What's not being reported is the drop in real income for the middle class which is being blamed by the propaganda arm of the democrat party on jobs and wages.
To them that's the core problem.

Not a one of them are investigating the possibility that a shrinking middle class could be the result of policies instituted by the Obama regime. More specifically on Obamacare.

On the possibility that there might be one or two actual reporters out there who are more interested in facts as opposed to cheerleading for dear leader here's a list of over 300 employers who either cut hours or eliminated jobs due specifically to Obamacare. I'm sure that if any remaining real reporters out there actually look into this particular problem the list would be much larger.

Yet the liberal/commie media seems to be more interested in demonizing certain republicans that are trying to reverse the damage done to the middle class as opposed to identifying and naming the commie democrats who are truly responsible.
It's pretty bad that the propaganda media hasn't the integrity or decency to recognize that policies that strip people of their livelihood and dignity is more evil than someone trying to stop the bleeding.

The Great Pasta Boycott

You would think that being in a state of perpetual outrage could get pretty exhausting after a while.
No one wears their outrage on their sleeve as well as militant homosexuals who will throw a fit over any perceived slight they can find in able to keep their cause in the spotlight for as long as possible.

'I would never use homosexual couples in my adverts': Barilla pasta brand faces boycott after boss's comments spark backlash
Gay rights groups are calling for a boycott of the world’s biggest pasta maker Barilla after the company’s chairman said he would never use homosexual couples in his advertisements.
Guido Barilla, whose firm has almost half the Italian pasta market and a quarter of that in the US, told Italy’s La Zanzara radio show last night: “I would never do an advert with a homosexual family…if the gays don’t like it they can go an eat another brand.
“For us the concept of the sacred family remains one of the fundamental values of the company.”
He added: “Everyone has the right to do what they want without disturbing those around them”. But then the pasta magnate upped the ante by attacking gay adoption. “I have no respect for adoption by gay families because this concerns a person who is not able to choose," he said.
Alessandro Zan, a gay rights campaigner and an MP in the left-wing Sel (Sinistra Ecologia Libertà) party, said:  “This is another example of Italian homophobia. I’m joining the boycott of Barilla and I hope other parliamentarians do the same.”
Campaigners have urged a boycott of all 20 brands owned by the Parma-based company, which include Voiello pasta and Filiz and Misko products.~snip~
Of course in a free society everyone is entitled to purchase any product they choose and to be honest whether I buy Barilla or not depends on which pasta has the best price at the time I purchase it. I'll bet that's the way most shoppers do it too.

I've always been of the opinion that boycotts, for the most part, don't work. Mostly cause not enough people are either aware of the boycott nor care enough about the issue to alter their everyday life.
As a matter of fact the only successful demonstration I can recollect is the overwhelmingly successful buycott of Chick-fil-a  which pretty much demonstrated Americans support for speaking out about an individuals and companies values. Something that homosexual rights activists would prefer to not get a lot of press.

I think these companies should keep in mind that no call for a boycott has ever been as successful as what happened for Chick-fil-a and stop walking back their support for traditional families to appease the liberal/commie media and a very few loud voices.

The record would seem to show that the majority are for traditional values then against them.

The Most Shameful 5+ Minutes of the Republican Party

John McRINO, who was re-elected because he lied through his teeth about border security, shows us one more time why elections have consequences.
I don't think anyone has done as much damage to conservatives or the republican party than John McCain.
He's "hinted" at retirement in 2016 but the truth is the Arizona GOP has finally started distancing themselves from him. Better late than never I suppose, how they could have supported him all this time is beyond me.
We'll never be able to move forward and bring real change until all the entrenched RINO's are called out for their lying and backstabbing.
I can't wait to see McRINO fade off into the sunset.

Silencing the Unruly Masses

Almost Cut My Hair-David Crosby
I could-a said, it was in my way
But I didn't and I wonder why
I feel like letting my freak flag fly
And I feel like I owe it to someone
Yeah I'm old enough to remember when this song was new, I'm also old enough to remember when the "internet" was this new thing and only academics and researchers were the only ones with access.
Then it became open to the public and let me tell you when it comes to letting their "Freak flag fly" internet commenters take the cake.

Caught this article in Popular Science this morning.

Why We're Shutting Off Our Comments
Comments can be bad for science. That's why, here at PopularScience.com, we're shutting them off.
It wasn't a decision we made lightly. As the news arm of a 141-year-old science and technology magazine, we are as committed to fostering lively, intellectual debate as we are to spreading the word of science far and wide. The problem is when trolls and spambots overwhelm the former, diminishing our ability to do the latter.
That is not to suggest that we are the only website in the world that attracts vexing commenters. Far from it. Nor is it to suggest that all, or even close to all, of our commenters are shrill, boorish specimens of the lower internet phyla. We have many delightful, thought-provoking commenters.~snip~
It got me thinking about some of the stuff I've read over the past 10 years in internet comment sections, in my opinion it got really bad after 9/11 when truthers and Ron Paul supporters seemed to swarm all over the comment sections of various websites and were so obnoxious that a number of them outright banned them.
But then of course they gravitated to their own corners of the innerwebs and normal people could avoid them.

Popular Sciences article inspired another one by the Atlantic where they asked a question and then answered it......kind of.

The Case for Banning Internet Commenters
~snip~Are comments good or bad for online journalism? The best answer is the least satisfying. They are both. Some articles are better with feedback. Some articles work better with a quiet audience. Some sites channel conversation to become as delightful as the paid-writer paragraphs. Some sites don't. Some commenters are wonderful teachers, even sources (I can't tell you how much I've learned from my own). Many commenters are contemptible trolls.~snip~
Popular Science has only themselves to blame for their self inflicted wounds of dissent alluding to climate science being "settled" without bothering to report about the ultimate limousine liberal Al Gore and his attempt to use the settled science to push the economy in "carbon exchanges". Trading carbon credits back and forth like the stock market creating an economy on what is essentially air.
Making the rich richer and taking from the poor in the form of higher energy costs.
As a matter of fact the science is so "settled" that any changes in the "rise of global temperatures" that doesn't fit the settled science needs to be covered up from the masses.
True science is never settled and if a publication on science closes itself to debate then it just becomes science propaganda and anything it writes about becomes suspect.

It's one thing for private political sites to ban comments as they usually devolve into flame wars and name calling but for websites that purport to present science to the masses and then ban or not pay attention to the feedback they get from their readers risk alienating them.
It shows that they aren't interested in trying to reach them by learning what their readers either don't understand or how they perceive what's presented to them.
Blocking comments is the cowards way out.

Not Much Support for Media Busybodies

So it looks like the whiny idiots at the Washington Post, who are trying to make a cause out of nothing, don't have a lot of support for a change of the Redskins name.

REDSKINS: LITTLE SUPPORT FOR CHANGING NAMES
The Washington Redskins have once again faced headlines asking whether or not their team name is offensive to Native Americans. Their home newspaper the Washington Post has stopped called the team the Redskins. Instead, authors are using terms like 'the Washington team' and other euphemisms. This isn't the first time that these concerns have aired but it is the first time that a major newspaper has stopped using their team name. The latest YouGov research shows that when people were asked if they think the Washington Redskins should change thier name, the majority said no (61%). 17% of Americas=ns said that they should change their name only if other teams like the Atlanta Braves and the Kansas City Chiefs did so too.~snip~
Liberals ain't liberals unless they got something to be constantly outraged about.

Some AG's Go After E-Cigs

Government just doesn't know when to give up when it comes to inserting itself into our lives.

Although I gotta say selling nicotine products to minors should be illegal but any other interference directed at adults is really just nanny statism.

AR Atty General: E-Cigs Need to be Regulated Immediately
LITTLE ROCK, AR-- Forty attorneys general from around the U.S. are urging the FDA to impose more regulatory controls on the sale and marketing of e-cigarettes
Namely, restrict advertising and ban the sale of of the product to minors.  In a letter to the Food and Drug Administration, they've ask for an immediate action to treat the electronic cigarettes the same as all "tobacco products" under the Federal Tobacco Control Act.
According to a press release, e-cigarette have been doubling every year since 2008 and, unlike with traditional tobacco products, there are no federal age restrictions to prevent children from obtaining e-cigarettes.
Earlier this year, the Arkansas Legislature enacted Act 1451, which prohibits the sale of e-cigarettes to minors in the State but there is no such federal prohibition.
The letter calls into question the practice of advertising the electronic cigarette with primetime commercials and celebrity endorsements.~snip~
You know they've already taxed traditional cigarettes pretty much out of reach of most low income Americans. The cheapest per pack in this area is around $4.12. Thirty days of that and you're looking at around 124 bucks a month.
Then you got the complaints of second hand smoke and the stale tobacco smell, neither of which e-cigarettes have.
So a lot of people who picked up smoking in the past have switched and the various nicotine "juices" are a lot cheaper than a pack of cigarettes. People can pay around 7 to 8 dollars to supply their habit for around a month.
Quite the cut and it's even cheaper than a ounce of pot where it's legal. But then again the politicians want to tax the hell out that also.
Which is really what it's all about.......taxes.
All stages of government, federal on down, seem to think that they have a right to confiscate as much money has possible from the citizens to do whatever they want with it. Because they're so much smarter than the rest of us.
Maybe e-cigs aren't the best place to draw a line against government taxation and intrusion but there has to come a time when we need to push back.
Because when they're done with what is easy they'll come for other things until they can penalize us all for anything they choose.

Thanks to Liberal Media Lois Lerner Quietly Retires

Yeah like this is a surprise.

Lois Lerner Retires From IRS, Big Three Networks Censor
The censorship of the IRS scandal by ABC, CBS and NBC has reached a new low. Not even the news of Lois Lerner’s retirement, the official at the center of the IRS Tea Party targeting scandal, could break the Big Three networks’ months-long streak of no scandal coverage.
The Drudge Report splashed the news on the top of its site on Monday but not a single network bothered to report the stunning news that night or Tuesday morning that Lerner, as the Washington Times reported, “retired from the agency Monday morning after an internal investigation found she was guilty of ‘neglect of duties’ and was going to call for her ouster, according to congressional staff.”
This is just the latest in a long line of IRS scandal developments that the Big Three networks have refused to cover. In fact they’ve just stopped covering the scandal completely. It’s been a whopping 90 days since ABC last mentioned the story back on June 26. NBC hasn’t touched the controversy in 89 days and CBS last ran an IRS scandal story 61 days ago on July 24.
While none of the Big Three evening news show reported on the Lerner retirement here are some of the news items they did find time to highlight:
CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley highlighted the popularity of the new iPhone.
NBC News with Brian Williams hyped the big winners on Sunday night’s Emmy Awards.
ABC’s World News with Diane Sawyer notified its viewers that Mick Jagger was about to be come a great grandfather.
The Obama owned liberal/commie media has been trying to make the IRS scandal go away for weeks by simply not reporting it.
So it would make sense that they would cover for one of their ideological own. The liberal media will do everything they can to make sure that no one in the IRS will be held accountable for targeting anyone who opposes the Obama administration because they have simply stopped being news organizations.
They are the propaganda arm of the democrat party.

Are the American People This Gullible?

I sat and watched this video in absolute numb disbelief.
Not that 73 year old Nancy Pelosi believes what she says here. But that the so called "interviewer" didn't bother to challenge her on her assessment of why Obama's not able to work with republicans.
You know why it is. He’s brilliant … he thinks in a strategic way in how to get something done … and he’s completely eloquent. That’s a package that they don’t like.
He has been … open, practically apolitical, certainly nonpartisan, in terms of welcoming every idea and solution. I think that’s one of the reasons the Republicans want to take him down politically – because they know he is a nonpartisan president, and that’s something very hard for them to cope with.”
There's so many things I could say about this but instead I'll just let the stupid speak for itself.

A Word on Free Premium Channel Previews

Currently I have DISH satellite, mostly because I live so far out that I can only receive one broadcast channel with an indoor antenna. I suppose I could buy an outdoor one but I do like the addition of some of the basic channels and the news.
But it's mostly because,so far, I still enjoy watching the NFL in the fall.

Anyway, every once in awhile they'll have free previews of some of the premium channels. You know, like Showtime,HBO,Encore,Starz and so one. I guess it's to entice you to buy the premium channels but for me it makes me happy I haven't bothered.
This weekend it's Starz and Encore and basically there's just a few "newer" movies I'm interested in seeing, which is a good thing because they just keep showing them over and over. The rest of the time they'll show older movies that I've seen before and most of the time I'm not interested in seeing them again.

I have Amazon so if I wish to see a newer release the rental is about a dollar cheaper than PPV on DISH.
So if they're trying to entice someone to subscribe to their premium services I would think they would perhaps offer more than 2 or 3 newer movies a month because after those turning the channel and reminding yourself that you're really not missing anything seems to be counter-productive.

In other words they'll not be seeing me subscribing to their premium channels anytime soon.

Weiner Claims he's no Idiot, I beg to Differ

You know I just can't think of anything else as symbolic of the total disconnect of democrat politicians from the voters than Anthony Weiner.

The state of denial that they exist in is pretty epic, from Angela Giron's and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz's insistence that there is "voter suppression" going on out there to Weiners assertion that no one should care about him waving his dong around online.

Anthony Weiner: 'I'm not an idiot'
In his first national media interview since losing the New York City mayoral primary, former Rep. Anthony Weiner joined Geraldo Rivera for a nearly 20-minute appearance on Rivera’s radio show Friday, taking responsibility for his loss while also blaming the media for focusing on his sexting scandal.
As he did on the trail, Weiner said he tried to run a campaign on the issues, but he admitted that revelations of further sexting after his resignation from Congress led to his loss.
“If you’re breaking the news here that the scandal and how it came back and the new things that came out … more things came out, yes of course, I’m not an idiot, I know it succeeded in derailing my campaign,” Weiner told Rivera, who said he was an early supporter of Weiner’s candidacy but was surprised when news came out that Weiner’s online interactions with women continued as long as they did.
“I took this campaign, frankly, on a bet, and that was that something at the end of the day that was behind me should not stop me,” Weiner said.
“Ten months behind you, that’s like yesterday,” Rivera responded.
Weiner repeatedly told Rivera he tried to run on the issues, but the media wasn’t having it, saying there is a “disconnect between people in your business” and citizens’ concerns.
“You had every tabloid in New York going bananas trying every day to derail me,” Weiner said. “None of the newspapers ever attacked my issues, none of the other candidates even bothered to take me out on the issues because they knew I would beat them.”~snip~
Politics is a rough game so why bother dealing with issues when your opponent can remind people that your name is Weiner and you like taking selfies all day and sending them to various women online?
The very idea that the press would ignore something like that in favor of "issues" is, quite frankly, the thought process of an idiot.
Which is the same thought process of Angela Giron and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz who both believe that their positions on any issue is so awesome that the only way they could possibly lose is if voters are oppressed.

Makes you wonder how conservatives can possible lose to these people.

My take on World War Z

I aw the video the other night and I gotta tell you after reading the book I just thought the movie was disappointing.

I really enjoyed the book because of the detail of the world truly at war with something which can never be duplicated in a 2+ hour movie but you would think that they could have found a way to broaden the story. Instead what you have is something as sad as a Stephen King novel translated poorly for the big screen.

Maybe someone can come along and make a series or mini-series out of it like the Walking Dead and give the other stories in the book the chance to develop like they should.

I definitely can't recommend it and found this video on Youtube that wraps it up pretty nice.

Washington Redskins Name Brings on the Leftist Smugness

This has got to be the best article I've read on the whole kerfuffle over the Washington Redskins.

Have the people spoken?
I guess this is where I'm supposed to fall in line and do what every other American sports writer is doing. I'm supposed to swear I won't ever write the words "Washington Redskins" anymore because it's racist and offensive and a slap in the face to all Native Americans who ever lived. Maybe it is.
I just don't quite know how to tell my father-in-law, a Blackfeet Indian. He owns a steak restaurant on the reservation near Browning, Mont. He has a hard time seeing the slap-in-the-face part.
"The whole issue is so silly to me," says Bob Burns, my wife's father and a bundle holder in the Blackfeet tribe. "The name just doesn't bother me much. It's an issue that shouldn't be an issue, not with all the problems we've got in this country."
And I definitely don't know how I'll tell the athletes at Wellpinit (Wash.) High School -- where the student body is 91.2 percent Native American -- that the "Redskins" name they wear proudly across their chests is insulting them. Because they have no idea.
"I've talked to our students, our parents and our community about this and nobody finds any offense at all in it," says Tim Ames, the superintendent of Wellpinit schools. "'Redskins' is not an insult to our kids. 'Wagon burners' is an insult. 'Prairie n-----s' is an insult. Those are very upsetting to our kids. But 'Redskins' is an honorable name we wear with pride. … In fact, I'd like to see somebody come up here and try to change it."
Boy, you try to help some people …~snip~
Read the whole thing then you'll realize that the whole "controversy" is just an artificial construct for a bunch of lily white libtards to beat their chests and show the world how sensitive they are to the plight of "people of color".

Their smugness has to be so self satisfying.

Remembering Occupy

It's been pointed out to me that it's the 2 year anniversary of the occupy movement. (literally I guess)

Occupy Wall Street protest remembered on 2-year anniversary
NEW YORK (WABC/CNN) – Tuesday marks the second anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
The Occupy movement began as a group of protestors marching in New York's Zuccotti Park.
The Occupy protest eventually spread to other cities, including Los Angeles, Denver and Chicago.
Members said the goal of the Occupy movement was to attack greed and promote financial equality.
Critics say the occupiers were never specific about their goals and how they hoped to accomplish them.
Here's a few videos to remind us of the lawlessness, stupidity and criminal activity spawned by the "protest" that was actually a free for all for the great unwashed parasites.

Good riddance.

Predictability of the Liberal Media

I'm flabbergasted by the liberal/commie media's attempt to constantly insult the intelligence of the average American.
Somehow a very small population of virulent anti-America self appointed busybodies have convinced an alarmingly large number people that they represent the opinions of a majority of citizens.

The way they do it is by simply lying their asses off and they do it as quickly and forcefully as possible before anyone else can possibly get any facts.
Then, even after the facts start coming out, they continue to lie.
Just a quick look at the headlines on memeorandum can show you that.

Navy Yard shooting: AR-15, back in the news -- briefly

Lupica: AR-15 is the rifle for the 'sport' of hunting humans

NY Daily News Slams ‘Made For Murder’ AR-15 After Navy Yard Shooting (PHOTO)

The above are just some of the examples you can find but the only problem is that the shooter didn't use an AR-15 his weapon of choice was a shotgun. So of course CNN, in an effort to push more gun control creates the AR-15 shot gun.

Gun control is an issue that the liberal/commie media is not doing very well at but that doesn't mean that they won't continue to lie and propagandize in a desperate attempt to force their beliefs on everyone.
While addressing the real issues of mental health behind these types of tragedies will get scant coverage allowing the problem to continue.

The liberal/commie media are not our friends and are not interested in anyones well being, what they are interested in is forcing their ideas and beliefs on us. Whether we like it of not.

No Secret Left Uncovered

Between the NSA and IRS there really won't be many personal secrets left.

Obamacare will question your sex life
‘Are you sexually active? If so, with one partner, multiple partners or same-sex partners?”
Be ready to answer those questions and more the next time you go to the doctor, whether it’s the dermatologist or the cardiologist and no matter if the questions are unrelated to why you’re seeking medical help. And you can thank the Obama health law.
“This is nasty business,” says New York cardiologist Dr. Adam Budzikowski. He called the sex questions “insensitive, stupid and very intrusive.” He couldn’t think of an occasion when a cardiologist would need such information — but he knows he’ll be pushed to ask for it.
The president’s “reforms” aim to turn doctors into government agents, pressuring them financially to ask questions they consider inappropriate and unnecessary, and to violate their Hippocratic Oath to keep patients’ records confidential.
Embarrassing though it may be, you confide things to a doctor you wouldn’t tell anyone else. But this is entirely different.
Doctors and hospitals who don’t comply with the federal government’s electronic-health-records requirements forgo incentive payments now; starting in 2015, they’ll face financial penalties from Medicare and Medicaid. The Department of Health and Human Services has already paid out over $12.7 billion for these incentives.~snip~
I find it hard to see the relevance of your sex life when seeking to get treatment for your toenail fungus but apparently the government disagrees.
The real concern should be the massive database that Obama and the libtards desire on each and every person out there. The privacy violations that will come about should frighten every citizen seeing as how the governments a very poor guardian of their own secrets.
This goes way beyond the intrusive questions they seem to believe they have a right to ask on the census forms and will finally get the information that the liberal, intrusive busybodies think they are entitled to.

When Obamacare finally goes through every Americans business will potentially become bared to the world and our era of privacy rights will end.

Local Arkansas Media Appalled by Bigot Parents

This was posted at WeaselZippers under the title, Arkansas Teacher Attempts To Sneak Muslim Speaker In To Her Class On 9/11, Shocked To Learn Parents Not Happy About It….
Which is true but after viewing the news "report" my take on it was a little different.
The reporting seems pretty biased against the parents who were opposed to having their children lectured by a Muslim on 9/11.
Most of the video leans sympathetically towards the "different point of view" position as opposed to why parents might be concerned about their children being forced to hear one side only on the anniversary of a terror attack by the very people who hold the same view as the speaker.

The only opposing interview they have is by one "anonymous" parent, as if they wouldn't or couldn't find others who were willing to share their opposition openly. The inference being that anyone who opposes the talk are cowards. It's not just what the media says that's biased, it's how they present it.
Reporting facts seems to be just as hard on the local level as it is on the national level.

A Legal Machine Gun?

It never fails, where there is a will there will be a way. I wonder how long it will take before the gun-grabbers heads explode and they start foaming at the mouth trying to get the liberal/commie democrats to "DO SOMETHING!!!!! " about these "automatic" weapons?

Just Hanging Around

I don't know the veracity of this story but I do know that I hope to hell it's true.

PETA Crashes Biker Gathering… Not to be missed…
What a wonderful coming together of two diverse groups! We need more gatherings where the idiot activists are given warm, moist, aromatic welcomes like this one. This is why PETA usually protests women wearing fur rather than bikers wearing leather. Sounds to me like the old saying, “you mess with the bull, and you get the horns”. Gee, I guess these characters thought that Bikers where going to be politically correct like the rest of the wimpy world.
Johnstown, PA (GlossyNews) – Local and state police scoured the hills outside rural Johnstown, Pennsylvania, after reports of three animal rights activists going missing after attempting to protest the wearing of leather at a large motorcycle gang rally this weekend. Two others, previously reported missing, were discovered by fast food workers “duct taped inside fast food restaurant dumpsters,” according to police officials.
“Something just went wrong,” said a still visibly shaken organizer of the protest. “Something just went horribly, horribly, wrong.”
The organizer said a group of concerned animal rights activists, “growing tired of throwing fake blood and shouting profanities at older women wearing leather or fur coats,” decided to protest the annual motorcycle club event “in a hope to show them our outrage at their wanton use of leather in their clothing and motor bike seats.”
“In fact,” said the organizer, “motorcycle gangs are one of the biggest abusers of wearing leather, and we decided it was high time that we let them know that we disagree with them using it, ergo, they should stop.”~snip~
Bully tactics by the unhinged left meets bikers who ain't going to take their bullshit. How's that "in your face" outrage going for you now?
Duck tape....it can fix anything.

Voyager Continues it's Journey

There was a time when America aspired to great things. We went to the moon....and then we stopped.
We began to explore our solar system....and then we stopped.

But at least there is some residual symbols of our dreams out there.

It's Official! Voyager 1 Spacecraft Has Left Solar System
A spacecraft from Earth has left its cosmic backyard and taken its first steps in interstellar space.
After streaking through space for nearly 35 years, NASA's robotic Voyager 1 probe finally left the solar system in August 2012, a study published today (Sept. 12) in the journal Science reports.
"Voyager has boldly gone where no probe has gone before, marking one of the most significant technological achievements in the annals of the history of science, and as it enters interstellar space, it adds a new chapter in human scientific dreams and endeavors," NASA science chief John Grunsfeld said in a statement. "Perhaps some future deep-space explorers will catch up with Voyager, our first interstellar envoy, and reflect on how this intrepid spacecraft helped enable their future."~snip~

Purging Dissent in the Media

Here's something I read about yesterday and it kind of slipped my mind until today.
Here's a guy who lost his job just because of his views on homosexuality.
He didn't call names or disparage homosexuas as a group, he just offered his opinion on what he saw the consequences to be.

Craig James fired by Fox Sports for saying homosexuality is a ‘choice’ to be judged by God
A Fox Sports college football analyst was fired after just one week once video footage surfaced of him in 2012 speaking of gays having to face God for their sexual choices.
Craig James, a former NFL player who unsuccessfully ran last year for a Senate seat in Texas, said during a campaign debate that gays would “have to answer to the Lord for their actions,” the Daily Mail reported. He also said, to applause, that being gay “is a choice” and those who “choose to do that” face accountability from God.
He made the comments about gays in context of explaining how “God’s going to judge each one of us in this room for our actions,” the Mail reported.
He added: “We should not give benefits to those civil unions. They should not occur. We have to stay strong on this, this is important, man. … We have a fiscal issue in this country. … We also have a moral issue in this country.”
Fox executives fired him and said he “will not be making any further appearances on Fox Sports Southwest’s football coverage this season,” a network spokesperson told Sports Illustrated.~snip~
Funny thing is that just mentioning FOX news is enough to send liberal/commies into paroxysms of foaming at the mouth rage that they lie and deceive and so on and so on.
But the truth is that FOX is closer to liberal/commies than they are conservatives.
Being proud members of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA).

Fox News and MSNBC in Bed Together on Gay Rights
The Fox News Channel and MSNBC may be ideological competitors, but they see things the same way on homosexual “gay pride” in the media business.
The National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) is sponsoring a March 24, 2011, “Headlines & Headliners” fundraiser to be hosted by MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts, with “special guests” that include Jamie Colby, Rick Folbaum, and Kimberly Guilfoyle of Fox News. Tickets are $100-$150.
Other “special guests” include Chris Jansing of MSNBC, Natalie Morales of NBC News, Erin Moriarty of CBS News, Trish Regan of CNBC, and Jane Velez-Mitchell of Headline News.
Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth says “the NLGJA is an activist organization with a strong institutional bias against those espousing traditionalist views on homosexuality.”
He told AIM, “It is appropriate that Guilfoyle would be at this event based on her appearance on the Fox News “Red Eye” show in which she not only dismissed the social conservative boycott of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) but she laughed at Greg Gutfeld’s nasty anti-Christian bigotry. Gutfeld called pro-family groups haters. She didn’t come to the defense of pro-family groups to defend their moral belief that homosexuality is wrong. It demonstrates her own bias against pro-family organizations. Many social conservatives are afraid that Fox News is going from neutral to becoming increasingly pro-gay. Fox News hosts were pretty much AWOL on the homosexuals in the military debate.”~snip~
Apparently this issue is the one that FOX and all the other liberal/commie media can agree on. There is scant information being put out by anyone on the consequences of society unquestionably going full bore towards "homosexual" rights. With FOX aligning themselves with this ideological agenda there will be little hope of opposing views on social issues.

Companies Pushing Amnesty for Short Term Exploitation

57.5 million Americans either looking for work or forced out of the labor market and these companies want to open the borders.

Cheesecake Factory, Hallmark, Disney, and Others Now Pushing Amnesty
Officials representing over 100 corporate interests issued a letter to Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) demanding the legalization of 11 million illegal aliens and increased legal immigration through the creation of new visa programs. As these companies put it in their letter:
[W]e strongly support efforts to bolster the availability of a workforce at all skills levels, through a separate visa program as well as by creating a path to legal status for those already here.
The companies include well-known names like Hallmark Cards, Disney, CVS, the Cheesecake Factory, American Airlines, Wendy's, McDonald's, the Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Coca-Cola, T-Mobile, AT&T, UPS, Rubbermaid, and McCormick spices — just to name a few examples.
These companies cite a recent Congressional Budget Office report, arguing that the Senate bill would grow the economy. They conveniently left out the CBO estimate that even though the amnesty might make the economy larger, it would simultaneously make American workers poorer by lowering the wages of American workers for a decade or more. The companies claim the bill is an "opportunity to level the playing field for U.S. employers" but it is more of an effort to level the wages of American citizens.~snip~
A list of the companies pushing for this is at the link.
I lived in Fort Smith Arkansas in the mid 80's and they were inundated with Vietnamese, Cambodians and Laotians after being housed at Fort Chaffee, not all left the area after their screenings and the chicken plants that were owned by Tyson and OK foods hired these immigrants by the hundreds.
These plants originally came to the area to exploit the residents living there with poor wages and working conditions because there wasn't a whole lot of jobs at the time.
As the city grew some and better opportunities arose the chicken plants found it harder to find residents willing to work for them. The immigrants from Fort Chaffee where a gold mine for them, the Vietnamese, Cambodians and Laotians (who were not fluent in english) were glad to come and work for them for what they offered because their opportunities were very limited.
Truth is it only lasted for a generation or so as most of their children learned english, became better educated and took advantage of better opportunities.
The population of Vietnamese, Cambodians and Laotians has gone down considerably over the years and to fill the gap the aforementioned chicken plants turned to illegal aliens from Mexico. Whatever the legal outcomes the point is that there are a lot of companies out there that want to import labor because it's cheap at first. For them it's worth it to keep wages low for a few years and then move on to the next group when workers expectations rise.
If we continue to grant amnesty then the issue of illegal immigration will never go away because some businesses will always look for the next wave to take advantage of.
If we want a future for our children and grandchildren then the line must be drawn.

Weiners Real Parting Shot

Man this guy has got to run for something again, the medias humiliation of his mayoral bid was hilarious and another constant reminder of the disdain that liberal democrats hold for the citizens of this country.

Anthony Weiner caps failed comeback bid with obscene gesture
Anthony Weiner, after losing badly in the New York mayoral primary Tuesday night, bid farewell to the campaign in a manner befitting the foul-mouthed candidate -- by flipping the bird after delivering his concession speech.
The timeless image, showing the disgraced former congressman giving the middle finger to a New York reporter, was captured by NY1 News and posted to Twitter Tuesday night.
The picture quickly surged across social media, putting a bow on the entire wild ride of Weiner's failed attempt at a political career comeback.
Though Weiner once led the pack as he asked voters for a second chance on the heels of his sexting-while-in-Congress scandal, that advantage quickly diminished after he admitted to another bout of sexting after he left Congress.
He finished with just 5 percent of the vote. Public Advocate Bill de Blasio was in the lead, with about 40.2 percent of the total vote, which puts him a whisker above the 40 percent threshold needed to avoid triggering an automatic Oct. 1 runoff. ~snip~
If anything shows how out of touch liberal/commie democrats are from reality this is a perfect example. He comes out saying he's rehabilitated himself from displaying his junk on the innerwebs and then revelations pop up that says he didn't.
He blames the bad press of course.
I mean how dare the media report on his perverted behaviour so the voters can decide if he's qualified to be mayor?

There's still hope for Weiner of course cause he supports gay rights, if you do that then anything can be forgiven.

Clueless Dems Remain Defiant After Recall

This is the best news I've read since the last election.

Colorado state senators recalled over gun control support
Two Democratic lawmakers in Colorado, including the president of the state senate, were recalled Tuesday in elections brought about by their support for tougher gun control laws.
With 94 percent of the projected vote counted, voters in Colorado Springs favored recalling state Sen. John Morse, the body's president, by 51 percent to 49 percent. With 100 percent of precincts reporting, state Sen. Angela Giron of Pueblo was defeated in her recall election, 56 percent to 44 percent.
"We as the Democratic party will continue to fight," Morse told supporters in Colorado Springs as he conceded the race. Republican Bernie Herpin, a former Colorado Springs city councilman, will replace him. Giron will be replaced by Republican George Rivera, a former deputy police chief in Pueblo.
The votes marked the first time in Colorado history that a state lawmaker faced a recall effort and the biggest backlash in states that passed tougher gun-control laws following two mass shootings last year – at an Aurora, Colo., movie theater and a Newtown, Conn., elementary school.~snip~
I suppose it was too much to expect these two to get the message that we don't have to stand by while liberal/commie democrats have their way with our freedoms.
It should be a wakeup call for all the RINO's out there also.

Congratulations Colorado.

This isn't an Anthony Weiner story

It's about a quote that came out of John Kerry's mouth and points to the impotence and incompetence of the entire Obama administration.

John Kerry under fire for 'unbelievably small' comment
As President Barack Obama kicks off an all-out push for a strike on Syria, Secretary of State John Kerry came under fire on Monday for saying any attack would be “unbelievably small” and suggesting the Syrian ruler still had a week to give up his chemical weapons to avoid a U.S. assault - a remark Kerry’s spokeswoman later attempted to clarify.
The off-key comments came in a joint press conference in London with Britain’s foreign secretary, where Kerry said the strike would be able to harm Assad without putting American troops on the ground and with a “very limited, very targeted, short-term effort.”
“That is exactly what we are talking about doing, unbelievably small, limited kind of effort,” Kerry said.~snip~
Which pretty much sums up Obama's entire time in office an unbelievably small, limited kind of effort shrinking the deficit, stimulating jobs, preserving the middle class and encouraging liberty.

Syria and an Echo from the Past

DISH had one of their "free weekends" with HBO and some other movie channel this weekend and one of the movies they showed was "ARGO". Ben Afflecks treatment of the story behind the "Canadian Caper", the rescue of 6 Americans from Iran during the Iranian hostage crisis which lasted for 444 days. ( November 4, 1979 to January 20, 1981)

I'd been meaning to watch it for some time but never got around to renting it from Amazon so it was a pleasant surprise to see it offered for free over the weekend.
There seems to be some controversy over several things in the movie from Affleck in the starring role, he's not hispanic don't you know, to the stereotypical portrayal of Iranians in the film.
But there seems to not be a whole lot of discussion about the flaccid response from a spineless democrat in office at the time.
Jimmy Carter.
Lets face it old Jimmy allowed Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini to show the world how impotent and weak he was for 444 days costing him a second term and the election of Ronald Reagan.
Yeah sure he attempted a rescue but it failed costing the lives of 8 servicemen and a couple of aircraft pretty much topping the cake of Carters malfeasance and incompetence.

Why this is important to think about is because we have another milquetoast wannabe in office rattling sabres over Syria. A ideological Carter clone. The difference this time is instead of sitting back and doing nothing Obama wants to strike just enough not to get laughed at, in other words he's looking to simply save face.

The last thing this country needs is to enter another crisis on the world stage with another weak and feckless leader. The history should be plain to anyone with a thinking brain.

On the plus side ARGO did remind me of some of the cool music of the late 70's.

The Two Faces of John McCain

I found this video of John McCain facing his constituents at a town hall meeting on my timeline on facebook and found it kind of interesting on a couple of levels.
Aside from the guy telling him if it was up to him McCain and most  politicians in DC should be arrested for treason for aiding and abetting the enemy. When if you think about it it's about the only conclusion you can come to because it seems that they do their best to support Al-Qaeda in Libya, Egypt and Syria.

His response is basically it's beneath him to dignify the accusation. Even though it seems pretty apparent that he wants to provide air support for Al-Qaeda terrorists in Syria.
The other thing that struck me though was his assertion that he's been re-elected 8 times so that signifies to him that his constituents in Arizona approve of what he's doing. (even though there is an attempt to recall him)

But the fact is to get re-elected the last time he pretty much out and out lied about his position on amnesty and people might have figured that he learned his lesson about listening to those who elected him.

Remember this?

He got himself re-elected and then turned right around and started working for amnesty again dragging Marco Rubio down the RINO hole with him.

The point is that in John McCain's mind he get elected again so he owes the voters nothing, he answers to no one but John McCain. The fact is if he decides to run again he'll just lie about giving a damn about the voters......again.
The question is will the voters fall for it a 9th time?

Anti-war Sounds of Silence

One of the interesting thing about peace prize winner Barack Obama's planned intervention in Syria is the apparent tacit approval he's been getting from the formally anti-war celebrity left.
Or maybe there's another reason for their absence?

14 Principled Anti-War Celebrities We Fear May Have Been Kidnapped

There maybe other reasons why we're not being saturated by news about their opposition. Maybe being smarter than all the rest of us because being actors or musicians gives them a unique insight into the nuanced difference between G.W. Bush going to war to respond to an actual attack on our soil as opposed to Obama interfering in a middle east civil war because he misspoke about some arbitrary "red line".

Then again there's the possibility that the Obama worshipping leftist/commie media, who's ignored every Obama administration scandal from Fast and Furious to Benghazi to IRS retaliation for Tea party groups who oppose the Obamessiah , may deliberately not be giving these paragons if intellectual virtue the coverage they seem to think they deserve.

Which is silly because how can so many low information voters form an opinion without celebrity guidance?

Tolerance Roundup

In today's America the old adage of things not to discuss in polite company, religion and politics, has a new addition to the list. Especially if your position is to oppose it.
Gay "rights".
We all know about the bakery that was run out of business or the photographer in N.M who declined to photograph a same-sex union ceremony because of religious beliefs.

If anyone believes these are isolated incidents then they couldn't be more wrong.

One complaint, Facebook campaign force restaurant owners to take down ‘anti-gay’ newspaper clipping
BANCROFT, Ontario, September 3, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A restaurant owner in the Eastern Ontario town of Bancroft has been forced to remove a newspaper clipping that had been on a bulletin board for over ten years because of one complaint that resulted in a Facebook campaign to organize a protest at the privately owned business.
The old Toronto Star clipping featuring the words "God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve" has been pinned to the bulletin board of the Eagle’s Nest Restaurant and Bakery for a decade, according to owners Sadie and Doug Creighton. The clipping stirred no controversy until a lesbian couple new to the community complained that they were offended by it.
“The sign caught my eye almost as soon as we sat down,” said Nat Brouse, who had gone to the restaurant for breakfast with her "wife" Steph Murphy.
“At first we were shocked that such an overt sign of hatred was just hanging out in the open to intimidate the queer community,” said Brouse, according to a Bancroft This Week report.~snip~
Here's on that has nothing to do with religious reasons but a business owner responding to complaints by his customers.

Portland bar owner must pay $400,000 for kicking transgender patrons out of bar
PORTLAND, OR, September 4, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A Portland bar owner will have to pay a $400,000 fine for kicking out a group of cross-dressers whom he says were ruining his business.
Chris Penner, the owner of the Twilight Room Annex, has to pay 11 transgender patrons the hefty sum after asking them to stop coming to his bar.
Penner said female patrons complained that the transgender men went to the restroom with the stall doors open, then left the toilet seats up when they were finished.
“I feel for this bar owner. Obviously these gender-confused men who want to be 'women' were causing him to lose customers with their outrageous behavior,” Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality, told LifeSiteNews.com. “Now he's been hit with a massive fine courtesy of discriminatory pro-LGBT laws.”
Penner left a voicemail asking the men, who call themselves the T-Girls, to stop coming to his bar (then called the P Club) every Friday.
“People think that a.) We’re a tranny bar or b.) We’re a gay bar. We are neither,” he said. “People are not coming in because they just don’t want to be here on a Friday night now.”~snip~
In other words the government has decided that this business owner can't even determine the nature of his establishment and what kind of customers he wants to attract.
I wonder what the governments reaction would be if a bunch of bikers took over his bar and he asked them to leave after trashing the place?
It's not just religious reasons that business owners want to have the right to run their businesses as they choose, the truth is that customers will decide for themselves how much "tolerance" they will have towards deviant behaviour and will spend their time and money where they will feel comfortable.

Weiners Parting Shot

With Weiner polling at around 7% it's a good bet he'll disappear from the media after he loses, for a while anyway. At least until he finds some other office to run for. Embarrassing himself again.
So to hold us all over until then here he is showing his ass.

I think it's probably a good bet the guy wasn't going to vote for Weiner anyway, apparently like a lot of folks, but you'd think he would have walked away and retained as much of his tarnished dignity as he could.
It seems like it wasn't in the cards though.

Anthony Weiner Explodes at ‘Jackass’ Voter in Brooklyn
Anthony Weiner, known to spar with the occasional heckler, got into his biggest shouting match to date today.
After an Orthodox Jewish man called Mr. Weiner a “scumbag” as he was leaving a Boro Park bakery, the mayoral hopeful furiously spun around to confront the voter.
“Very nice, very nice, in front of kids. That’s a charming guy right there,” Mr. Weiner, chewing on cookies, uttered during one of several campaign stops on a visit to the neighborhood on the eve of the Jewish New Year.
“You are disgusting, disgusting,” the man, Saul Kessler, replied, referencing the sexting scandal that forced Mr. Weiner to resign from Congress and continues to engulf his campaign.
But Mr. Weiner, sagging in the polls as Election Day rapidly approaches, was not interested in brushing aside Mr. Kessler.
“Yeah, it takes one to know one, jackass,” Mr. Weiner shot back from the bakery’s doorway. “What’s that? What’s that? You wait until I walk out to say anything, that’s courage, that’s courage!”~snip~
As if foisting Sydney Leathers on society wasn't enough we get the parting shot of ,"it takes one to know one".
I wonder how far the political bar can be lowered by democrats?

Faux Outrage?

It seems that mocking dear leader has become verboten.

Outrage over Outhouse Labeled 'Obama's Presidential Library'
TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Most Presidential libraries are constructed after the President completes his term. However, according to KOAT-ABC, a New Mexico man has determined the location for President Obama's library and has marked it with a sign that is sparking controversy in one small town.
The sign rests on top of an outhouse. It reads: Obama's Presidential Library.~snip~

Add this to the list of inappropriate things we're not allowed to do to mock the Obamessiah, along with wearing masks while rodeo clowning.

Funny thing is I don't remember a whole lot of liberal/commie media hyperventilating when this was proposed.

'George W Bush Sewage Plant' Proposed In San Francisco

The comments at the above story should tell you all you need to know about left wing hypocrisy.

Predator Saves Ohio Some Money

(CNN) -- Ariel Castro, who was sentenced to life plus 1,000 years for kidnapping and raping three women, as well as murder, was found hanging in his prison cell Tuesday night, the state's Department of Corrections said.
Authorities found Castro, 52, hanging in his cell at the Correctional Reception Center in Orient, Ohio, about 9:20 p.m., the agency said.
Prison medical staff tried to revive him but failed.
Castro was taken to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:52 p.m.

Castro's brother-in-law, Juan Alicea, told CNN that the family was notified by the warden about 1 a.m. The family is angry, Alicea said, that it learned about the death from media reports first.~snip~
The first decent thing the guy has done since he was captured after taking over a decade of 3 womens lives. The irony is he plead guilty to some 900 charges to avoid the death penalty.

McCain the Moron:Update, More RINO's Join in

Why in the world is this old RINO pushing so hard for a military response in Syria?
Also how is "Allahu Akbar!!" equivalent to shouting "Thank God!!"?

I have yet to see a video of American service men yelling "thank God" when they blow the hell out jihadis. Maybe because it isn't a religious obligation for them.

What is laughable is that Obama seems to think that having McCain on his side will somehow influence anybody other than the few RINO's who aligned themselves with him and his good friends "across the aisle". The way he has consistently turned on conservatives and republicans it's any wonder that their isn't a big "D" with a little "r" beside his name when the media reports on the stupid shit he says.

Oh yeah, the myth of the "moderate" jihadi has been thoroughly debunked.

Boehner and Cantor jump on the Obama bus.
The republican party has now become officially irrelevant.

The "Warrior President"

So this was going to be the guy who soothes our enemies and brings about a new respect for the United States and peace throughout the world huh?

Relief in Damascus, as Syrians mock Obama the 'coward'
AFP - "He who talks a lot doesn't act," said Souad, a Damascus resident, mocking US President Barack Obama as a "coward" for delaying a decision to attack the Syrian regime.
"Obama is a coward. He didn't strike because he knows that our President Bashar (al-Assad) is all-powerful," said the employee of nationality electricity firm Ferdaws, in the northeast of the capital.
In the wealthy neighbourhood people went about their business without seeming too worried about the thuds from intermittent shelling of rebel positions outside the city centre.
A similarly calm atmosphere prevailed at one of the area's traditional, men-only cafes, where some customers appeared more interested in winning at backgammon than by Obama's speech.
On Saturday the US president said he will ask US lawmakers to approve a strike on Syria when Congress returns from summer recess on September 9, effectively lifting the threat of an imminent attack.~snip~
Well I'd say the respect thing has pretty well gone down the tubes as Obama flip/flops on whether he has the power to strike militarily with or without the approval of congress. When they come back in session, which should be around Sept.9.
I'll be surprised if he remembers what he was going to ask them to vote on by then.

But the real question is what if congress says no?
He can't get a coalition of countries together with or without UN approval nor does the American public seem to support military intervention in Syria no matter how small it is to prevent world wide mockery.
He could of course order it anyway but as a commenter posted in a previous post the democrats would be against it because they're looking at the mid-term elections next year.
Also I'm sure it would certainly displease his base, even though the media's keeping silent about the anti-war left, if they have any objections to their messiahs intentions.

Either way Obama has himself in a pickle, he tried to roar like a lion but the sound that came out was a squeak.

RINO Wonder Twins

John McCain and his RINO buddy Lindsey Graham seemed determined to turn Syria over to Al-Qaeda as fast as possible.
I didn't realize they had more in common with Obama than we thought.

Republicans McCain, Graham say cannot support limited Syria strikes
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham on Saturday said they could not support isolated military strikes on Syria that are not part of a bigger strategy.
"We cannot in good conscience support isolated military strikes in Syria that are not part of an overall strategy that can change the momentum on the battlefield, achieve the president's stated goal of (Syrian President Bashar al-) Assad's removal from power, and bring an end to this conflict, which is a growing threat to our national security interests," they said in a statement.
I wonder how far recall efforts are for the embarrassment McCain has become?
Both of these clowns need to be replaced I mean if you look up RINO in the dictionary these guys pictures are there for the definition.

Vacillator in Cheif

Vacillator:
  1. waverer: one who hesitates (usually out of fear)
So, over the last few days Obama says he'll strike Syria any time he wants too because ....well he's Obama. But trying to get a "coalition" together seems to be tougher than he thought. Well at least France is onboard, maybe.
So after experiencing a little push back he decides to do what he has always done.
Shift the responsibility of a strike or no strike onto somebody else.
So no matter what the results of his action/inaction he'll have someone to point to when/if things go wrong.

Even Admiral Ackbar knows whats going on.
