Where's Brian Ross When you Need Him?

Well, it seems that today we finally had a shooting that appears to be ideologically motivated.

Virginia man charged in shooting at Family Research Council
Washington (CNN) -- A 28-year-old Virginia man was held late Wednesday on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon after a security guard was wounded in the lobby of the Family Research Council, a conservative policy organization, authorities said.
Police and federal agents were investigating what prompted the suspect, identified by the FBI as Floyd Lee Corkins II, to walk into the group's headquarters about 10:45 a.m. and open fire.
Corkins, is from Herndon, a suburb of Washington, the FBI said in a statement about the charge.
The guard helped wrestle the gunman to the ground. Called a hero by police, the security officer was in stable condition after being shot in the arm.
A law enforcement official said the gunman made some remarks opposing the Family Research Council's policies before opening fire.
A source working with the DC Center for the LGBT Community told CNN that Corkins had worked as a volunteer at the center.
David Mariner, executive director of that center, released a statement Wednesday night saying he was "shocked to hear that someone who has volunteered with the DC Center could be the cause of such a tragic act of violence.
Funny thing is that it took hours before the mainstream media bothered to gather any facts about the shooter and his motives. Which didn't seem to be the case with the gunmen in Aurora Colo. or the Sikh Temple shooting with the MSM twisting every direction in the wind to find a "right wing" connection.
Ah, maybe they weren't near a computer and couldn't google his name or maybe they felt the FRC brought it on themselves. Being a disgusting hate group and all according to the SPLC.
Must be nice to have that kind of power, to use the strength of opinion to smear anyone you want.

I'm sure it's an interesting position the progressive left has found themselves in, after demonizing conservatives at every turn when a violent act by a deranged lunatic happens to find themselves in the same position they tried to put others in.
Only this time the dots are connected and their hateful rhetoric against dissent is starting to come back and bite at them.
But to me what's truly disturbing is that leftists have a tendency to elevate and admire the most violent of extreme leftists. Like Che Guevara, Mao Zedong,  Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dorn because their violence was committed for the struggle.
As a matter of fact I wouldn't be surprise to see a "FREE Floyd Lee Corkins!!" T-shirt and bumper sticker in a few days.
Leftists will always embrace "martyrs to the cause".
