The Real Abortion Barbie

In a surprising turn of events a liberal media outlet has actually looked into some information put out by a democrat candidate.

Even though they tried to soft pedal the distortions of Wendy Davis' personal story, the discrepancies haven't gone unnoticed.

Dallas Morning News shines bright light on Wendy Davis's storytelling
On Sunday the Dallas Morning News shined a very bright light on gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis and, it was in what was alluded to, that shows her in the most negative way. The darling of the left - who is referred to as "Abortion Barbie" by her detractors - has admitted that some factoids about her past were not as "tight" as they should have been. At first it was the team from Republican Greg Abbott that was calling a time out on her pulling at the heart strings background; however, now the DMN has launched a similar action.~snip~
Some of the highlights from the linked article follow.

  • Davis recently testified in a federal lawsuit over redistricting; records show her comments to be: “I had a baby. I got divorced by the time I was 19 years old. After I got divorced, I lived in a mobile home park in southeast Fort Worth.” According to public records, Davis was in fact divorced from her first husband at the age of 21 which means that she, as a Harvard educated lawyer, lied in her testimony in the federal lawsuit.
  • At the age of 23, she married an attorney, Jeff Davis who was 13 years older than she. He paid for the completion of her degree at Texas Christian University, cashed in his 401(k), and took out a loan to pay for her education once she was accepted at Harvard. Davis left her second husband days after he paid off the loan on her education. According to the DMN article: Jeff Davis said that was right around the time the final payment on their Harvard Law School loan was due. “It was ironic,” he said. “I made the last payment, and it was the next day she left.”
  • While Davis was in Boston attending Harvard, her husband raised her first-born daughter by another man and the daughter she shared with Jeff Davis.
  • Under the terms of the divorce, her husband received custody and she was required to pay $1,200 per month in child support.
  • A colleague and political supporter that has worked with Davis stated in the DMN article:
“Wendy is tremendously ambitious,” he said, speaking only on condition of anonymity in order to give what he called an honest assessment. “She’s not going to let family or raising children or anything else get in her way. He said: “She’s going to find a way, and she’s going to figure out a way to spin herself in a way that grabs at the heart strings. A lot of it isn’t true about her, but that’s just us who knew her."
For those in the media who don't know this is called "vetting" a candidate. Something we were denied by the Obama worshiping press prior to the last 2 presidential elections.
This also shows that the image that progressive/liberal democrats try and project to the public isn't necessarily the truth. Which is why it's so difficult for voters to arrive at an informed decision as to who they want to represent them.

Faux Outrage of the Week

Further demonstrating that:

  1.  liberals have no sense of humor.
  2.  The lick-spittle liberal media will latch onto anything to avoid talking about Obama's record.
One look at the links on memeorandum from today shows all kinds of links reporting on and some showing outrage over the funny.
Twitchy documents the unhinged response from the dinosaur media on twitter.
I guess it's to be expected, back when this question first came up during the 2008 election, I found myself in an online discussion with some friends about the possibility. The way I felt about it and still do is that it doesn't matter if it was true because the liberal media here would never allow it to have legs.

Now am I saying there is a conspiracy with in the media to hide Obama's foreign birth?
Absolutely not, what I am saying is that the media will do everything they can to keep Obama in the White House up to and including covering up any and all violations of the constitution or election law.
It's no secret the liberal media is in the tank for Obama and have continued to violate their journalistic integrity in an attempt to keep him where he is.

That's why Romney's little joke made such a big whoop today, it's become another inflated news story for the media to report on instead of covering Romney/Ryan's ideas to create jobs and lower the deficit.
Obama doesn't have a plan to counter with so the only thing they can do is distort and distract.
In the mean time more people become unemployed, the federal debt rises and the economy stays flat.

We deserve better from the media in this country......we deserve to hear and see the unbiased truth.

Dance Debbie, Dance

Saw this at Weasel Zippers.
Every time I see Debbie downer squirm I have to smile.
Anderson Cooper actually does a good job here of pointing out the deception that the DNC is trying to pull over everyone's eyes. Also note how she says inaccuracy doesn't matter as long as there is a point to be made.
This is the strategy of the democrat party, to distort and out and out falsely claim things that are not true, for people who are so weak willed that they will fall for their distortions.

The LA Times article is here.

Truth not as easy as ABC

How far does the lies, distortions and willful deceit have to go before the viewers of ABC news have had enough?
Holmes's mother suggests ABC News mischaracterized her statement
"This statement is to clarify a statement made by ABC media. I was awakened by a call from a reporter by ABC on July 20 about 5:45 in the morning. I did not know anything about a shooting in Aurora at that time," Holmes said in a statement this afternoon, read to the national press by attorney Lisa Damiani. "He asked if I was Arlene Holmes and if my son was James Holmes who lives in Aurora, Colorado. I answered yes, you have the right person. I was referring to myself."
"I asked him to tell me why he was calling and he told me about a shooting in Aurora," she continues. "He asked for a comment. I told him I could not comment because I did not know if the person he was talking about was my son, and I would need to find out."
In the first paragraph of its initial report on Friday, ABC News reported that it had identified the correct James Holmes because his mother "told ABC News her son was likely the alleged culprit, saying, 'You have the right person.'"
First they slander the Tea Party and then distort the reaction of the shooters mother.
This ain't journalism anymore it's sensationalism, no wonder they're losing viewers.
