Complaining About the Smell of Bacon?

This is just wrong on so many levels.

Bacon restaurant shut down for smelling like bacon

It turns out that not everyone loves the smell of bacon.
A San Francisco bacon restaurant, fittingly called "Bacon Bacon,” was forced to shut its door on Friday after neighbors complained that the "porcine aroma" wafting from the establishment was too strong. 
According to the San Francisco Examiner, neighbors also alleged the store was illegally dumping bacon grease into the sewers and the restaurant lacked the proper health permits to operate the business.
 The restaurant may be able to secure a permit and resume operations, but a hearing cannot be held until July, so for now the restaurant will remain closed.~snip~

OK I get the other issues and proper permits and a way to dispose of the grease are concerns that need to be addressed but complaining about the smell?

Frying bacon is one of natures most gentle of alarm clocks, bacon itself is one of the the most perfect foods and gives countless forgotten men around the world a reason to get up and face the day.
Getting the permits won't stop the aroma of frying bacon.

If busy bodies can ban bacon then there is nothing they can't forbid.
