A Week of Change

Here's a reminder via Breitbart News of what's at stake this week from the Supreme Court.

U.S. Braces for Historic Supreme Court Decisions
This week the Supreme Court will hand down four decisions that will mark a turning point for the United States, and some possible outcomes could even change the course of this country for the rest of our national existence.
The High Court heard 75 cases this year. As this week begins, 64 have been decided, meaning the final 11 will come down this week as the Court concludes its 2012 Term. Seven are run-of-the-mill cases, but the other four are as big as they get. ~snip~
I don't believe that the term "conservative" really means much anymore as far as what the court will do with these issues. It seems to have a mind of it's own.
Even though Justice Scalia questions the sanity of "moralist" judges, historically the court hasn't shied away from making pronouncements from on high. So I don't see much hope for them ruling in favor of common sense. Their ruling on Obamacare pretty much taught me that.

But then again I have to agree with Justice Roberts.
“Members of this Court…we possess neither the expertise nor the prerogative to make policy judgments.  Those decisions are entrusted to our Nation’s leaders, who can be thrown out of office if the people disagree with them.  It is not our job to protect people from the consequences of their political choices.”
And he's right, we are where we are in this particular point in history because of the choices we all made at the ballot box.
As long as we can't spare 10 minutes a day away from American Idol and TMZ to make ourselves aware of what politicians are doing to society  in our name then nothing will change.
Only until the boot of the liberal/progressive commie democrats and RINOs tightens to the point that we all suffer under their tyranny will we throw off their oppression and vote them out on their asses.

If we are still able to vote by then.
